Hello Mike and happy new year to you as well! We knew when it was time to leave the first hospital. They had all but given up on him. They were offering medication and physiotherapy. Clearly not an issue solved my meds and Physio! We are looking forward to getting back into the woods and getting to work! 💪

Have to push back sometimes. It’s not right the way they treat people who have been paying into a system for their whole lives!

It is great to see a video from you. It must have been horrible seeing your dad in trouble. It sounds like you did the right thing and that probably gave him the best outcome. It is great that he is walking again and I look forward to seeing him in one of your future videos. It was great that you were able to support your sister. Take care

You need to cherish the time with your father. We never know how much time that we have left.
I lost my Dad in February of 2019. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him in one manner or another.
When we farmed together, we were two bulls in the same pasture, and it just didn’t work.
I left the farm and became a commercial diver working on the Mississippi River.
We later on made our amends and became close friends as the years passed.
I have another You Tube friend, Steve @ Angleside Farm.
Steve recently lost his father. His dad was upper ‘90’s. Almost made it to be on a Smuckers Jelly Jar.
My Dad was soon to be 95.
Up until the day I found him collapsed in his basement, he had been living at home alone. He plowed out his own yard, cut his own firewood, and even went deer hunting before his eyesight failed him. That was sad as he had been a pilot in his younger days.
So cherish the time James, as I know that you do.
You are a good husband and a good father. No doubt a good brother and I bet your Dad would say that you are a good son.
So good to hear from you James. Among everything else that you are, you are a good friend
    God Speed

This is the nicest comment I've ever received - and I have had some amazing viewers leave me comments! Thank you Gary. I think I'm doing the best I can given the path before me. 95 years old is amazing! Good for your dad to still be living at home at 95 - wow!

Hi Ross! Yeah I finally got a video up lol! We bought the church in October 2020. She got her mortgage in September 2023! It's been a long road of construction for almost three years. We're so glad to have been able to help, but we're glad it's over haha. Thanks for all the support over the years!

It was a nightmare John. Planning to hitch up the camper and head to New Brunswick on Friday - can’t feel his legs on Sunday. So scary to be treated so poorly by the first hospital. Glad he’s home.

Definitely one of the scariest times of my life ... and I've sailed on ships owned and operated by the Canadian Government ... YIKES!! Jokes aside, we're glad he's home and on the mend! Thanks for checking in Mike!

Good to hear from you. I am glad that your Dad is getting better. It is pretty scary and completely understand the healthcare situation. Nonetheless, the important thing is that he is getting better and that his family could rally up to support during those long months of recovery. Have a happy new year and looking forward for more videos. Emmanuel

Oh wow. My dad was in Sunnybrook for a week or so and was transferred to Lyndhurst for rehab. That facility is top notch! We owe them so much. Its got to be a hard job ... basically eating people's feelings as they struggle through, often times, the most difficult part of their lives. I hope you're doing well and thank you for your comment!

Nice to see ou back on the channel. Good to hear Your Dad is on the mend. Our Obamacare health system is recruting doctors out of Your system. And they're bringing the the soclized ways with the. The system tells them what patient needs according to cost. Ihad a doctor treat Me on My botox maintenence program. They told Her to cut back on certin areas. And stop others. They even cut back on treatments from 4 times a year down to 3. The spasticity pain is unbarable. Lucklly I got back in to My private pratice doctor and back on 4 times a year and increased doseage.

    • @KillingItCountry
      @KillingItCountry  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

It's really quite nuts. I don't know what the future of our system holds. No one seems to know what the hell they're doing. Okay - everyone go exercise and stay healthy!!! Thanks Jim!
