    The second half of this video is almost like my talk show.
    けんさん ごめんなんさい…
    Sorry Ken-san...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This video has been created for those who are learning Japanese language.
    In this video, almost all of kanji in the Japanese subtitles are given furigana.
    So it's perfect for people who are not good at kanji.
    You can also learn Japanese that are actually used.
    Let's listen to real Japanese that is not in ordinary Japanese textbooks.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I'm paying a lot of attention to Japanese subtitles. But I'm not good at writing English, so there may be some mistakes in English subtitles.
    Please consider English subtitles to be your help only if you don't understand my Japanese.

    I can appreciate more difficult discussions being had on a learning channel. A lot of times things are catered to just beginner learners. I'm not super advanced but I want to comprehend things that are more difficult, to improve. Thank you!!

    I love this conversation. In-depth talks make you not only learn the language, but also the culture and society, which in turn makes you more attracted to the language when compared to textbook “beginner conversations”.

      Maybe the fact that we're not talking for your learning, but rather just talking about what I want to talk about, makes it a rather natural, everyday conversation that you could be interested in.

    Very interesting conversation. You seem very well-read and educated. I especially like being able to see the 'flow' of the conversation, like the 相槌

    • @moshimoshi.yusuke
      @moshimoshi.yusuke  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since the flow of conversation varies somewhat from language to language, listening to authentic conversations like this is ideal for learning.
      By the way, as you may know, it is not a habit peculiar to me to use a lot of 相づち, but it is the same for all Japanese speakers. It is a characteristic of the Japanese language and Japanese people.

    It might be a little late to an reply for this but I just happaned to watch this and want to say that it was an really interesting video.
    Had to take a look on the subs quite some times with this, as it wasn't too easy. But that's ok. I prefer having somedifficult spikes, as it also means a conversation can be richer in it's topics.
    Maybe I am overthinking things but I feel like this gave a really interesting and rare insight to japanese culture and the way it's people think. (I still understand that of course opinions and thoughts are always different, depending on the person and these are just two perspectives).

      It's greatly reducing the value of the contents. But yet the market value of Japanese porn is over $300 billion. That's the equivalent of Toyota's annual sales. If that system were eliminated, Japan could more easily benefit economically.

    I think You are very onest and I appreciate a lot the fact You can talk about things that usually Japanese people prefer to hide.
    I confirm you that here in Italy, nobody is wearing masks, even in very crowded cities like Florence, and nobody is talking or thinking on Coronavirus anymore.

    [11:23] In the Netherlands in the past there was a constant risk of dikes breaking and flooding, both from the sea and the rivers. There is a theory that this is the source of Dutch culture with regard to cooperation, the ability to compromise, and perhaps also pressure to conform. On these points the Netherlands is very different from for example Britain. However, unlike your suggestion with regard to Japan, there was no trend towards totalitarianism or groupism. In fact, there is little respect for authority in the Netherlands, and individualism is strong, unlike in Japan.
    I looked up the Netherlands and Japan in Hofstede's Power Distance versus Individualism index. The Netherlands scores high on individualism and low on power distance, only the UK, Australia and the US are a bit more extreme. However, while Japan is in the opposite corner of this index, it is actually still relatively individualistic and has only moderate respect for authority. Japan scores almost the same as Spain. Countries that are really low on individualism and more hierarchical are countries like Guatemala, Venezuela, Indonesia, Malaysia. Even Russia is less individualistic and more hierarchical than Japan.
    I read somewhere that here is an empirical finding that more wealth or prosperity in a society correlates with rising individualism. The same research suggested that while this is a global trend, certain countries like Japan may preserve more collectivist values, but I suspect that Japan is not as exceptional as many think (but I could be wrong).

    ここでは『集団主義』という言葉の方が適切なのでは......?
    全体主義とは、ナチス・ドイツやスターリン主義ロシアのような独裁体制を意味する、集団主義とは、個人の幸福よりも集団の幸福を重視する社会を意味する。例えば、中国や日本はアメリカよりも集団主義的だ。集団主義の反対は個人主義だろう。
    ちなみにこれはDeepLで翻訳したものなので、少し失礼な表現になったかもしれないがお許しを。私の日本語は全体主義、個人主義、集団主義の違いを説明できるほど上手ではない。私はゆうすけさんのビデオが大好きです!もう数年見ています! :)

I think if you included that in your future videos in the beginning a good amount of people including myself would drop a dime in it. Since your videos are pretty damn helpful in my opinions. We need more people like you who are genuinely just interested in educating enthusiasts and learners like you. Thanks!

    Yusuke-san, could you tell us when the pronunciation of 「を」 becomes "WO" or "YO" or "O". I sometimes hear it with three sounds. Onegaishimasu.

    • @moshimoshi.yusuke
      @moshimoshi.yusuke  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      を is pronounced "o", not pronounced "yo".
      In old Japan, を was pronounced as "wo". So there are some people who pronounce it as "wo" because of the remnants of that. Some people also pronounce it "wo" depending on their region of origin. People in Ehime Prefecture, for example, pronounce it "wo".

    Hi sir

  • @attilethehunnic

    First of all thank you for your videos Yusuke-san. It helps for my Japanese studying a lot. I know Russian, English and Turkish. I can speak these 3 languages fluently. Japanese will be 4th language, if I learn of course.
    I have a question out of context, what will you think about if I say that I want to work in tourism industry in Japan ( hotels, travel agencies etc. ) ? How high are my chances ? Also, I heard that Kurds ( with Turkish passports ) cause a lot problem in Japan lately ( I'm not Kurd ). Does that change the way how Japanese people look at people from Turkey ?
    It became so hard to live in Turkey. People became too much noisy, unrespectful. I do not have financial problems, I earn decent amount money here but I really love Japanese people, the way they live and how they respectful to each other. Thing I am trying to say is, I do not want to move to Japan because of financial problems, I want to move to Japan because of bad people here in Turkey. So I think I will try to work and live in Japan. I know that liking a country from afar and actullay working and trying to live there would be sooooo different things but I really struggle to live here in Turkey because of ignorant, noisy people here.
    What are your recommendations ? Thank you again for eveything. I wish you and your loved ones a good and healthy life, Yusuke-san.

      Hi, Attila-san!
      OK, I just finished reading your comment.
      My opinion is...↓
      "What will you think about if I say that I want to work in tourism industry in Japan (hotels, travel agencies etc.)? How high are my chances?"

      It depends on your Japanese level. The Japanese tourism industry tends to value multilingual people, so you should have some good chances of success working in Japan. But the most important aspect of working in Japan is being able to speak Japanese. I talked a little bit about that in ↓this video↓
      th-cam.com/video/S_jSDChotSo/w-d-xo.html
      "I heard that Kurds (with Turkish passports) cause a lot problem in Japan lately (I'm not Kurd). Does that change the way how Japanese people look at people from Turkey?"

      To be honest, that incident has increased Japanese who have a bad impression of both Kurds and Turkish. But Kurds and Turkish are a minority in Japan, so it is not a big problem. All I can say at this point is that the incident will not affect your future in a negative way. On the other hand, Chinese and Koreans are the majority foreign groups in Japan, so there are some Japanese who dislike them. I don't care at all who or what nationality anyone is. Probably more than half of Japanese people are like that, I guess.
      "I want to move to Japan because of bad people here in Turkey."

      Of course there are bad people and rude people in Japan, and there are people who will irritate you. Besides, Islamic common sense does not apply here. I can't say whether you would accept it or not, so why don't you try staying in Japan for a short period of time first?

      There is something I forgot to tell you. Perhaps you know, in Warabi city and Kawaguchi city in Saitama Prefecture Japan, where the riots took place, Kurdish refugees and Japanese have been living together peacefully since around 1990. However, the defects in Japanese law have caused some troubles. The issue of immigrants and refugees will become more complicated in Japan in the near future.

      @@moshimoshi.yusuke Thank you, yes I heard about it in news. So sad to witness these things. I support whatever decision Japanese people will take about immigrants. Japan is one of the safest countries on earth and you guys have all the right to change laws, make actions to keep it that way. Japan is yours. Only Japanese people have right to make decision for Japan. I really can't understand those immigrants. Some country is opening doors for you, welcoming you, looking after for you and you start harassing them, fighting, disturbing them. That's such nonsense, so horrible. If Japanese people will not let me entering their country, I will accept it and go back to my home. If they will accept me, I 'need' to follow your rules and learn to live like how you people do. But immigrants try change the country they live in. No, they have to change themselves and adapt. Thank you again Yuusuke-San.

    I'm currently learning Japanese, and it has been 3 months. To be honest, I am quite happy with my progress. However, when I listen to videos in which I can't understand 90% of the words, I get discouraged 🥲. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I really want someone who can speak to me in Japanese, even though I won't be able to understand anything. I also want to practice speaking in Japanese, even though my knowledge is limited. However, I feel really embarrassed when I speak Japanese in front of a native speaker because I'm not good at it 😢. Can anyone be my language partner and help me improve my Japanese pronunciation or at least help me learn enough to communicate more freely?
    P.S : I've tried several apps to find a language partner, but I haven't been successful.

    Very intersting thinkings!
    But Korea, where I live, is being destroyed very rapidly because of very very new ideas and thinks.
    This is because very new ideas, e.g. political correctness (PC) and other absurd discourses, are the mainstream of society.
    Japan is politically, socially and economically conservative and will therefore remain a major power in East Asia for a long time.

      Thanks for your comment😊 I don't know whether it is good or bad that Japan is a conservative country. But more importantly, I believe that Korea is a much more economically strategic and you're more industrious people than us. We have much to learn from Korea🇰🇷(^-^)
