Amazing bg track ( the sharpening!!). For me this already a winner. I love cross over guitars: the Les Paul body with an Ibanez 7 strong neck, how cool is that!!!!
You can use either. I've got a big 1/2" drive plunge router which I use for bigger jobs, but I find the laminate trimmer easier to control for this kind of thing.
@@Ryan_Sens , Will do dude. Probably happen next month. Also routing out a cavity for a single coil in my dinky and converting a 6 string bass with Jazz pick-ups to have 2 Humbuckers. Materials are on it's way so I'll be sure to make some videos when it's all up and going. Also COG rules!!!
Excellent job dude! I want to convert my 6 string Warlock to 7 string. Not sure if your bridge was a hard tail prior to the rework... Any thoughts on how to convert from a Floyd rose style trem to a hard tail? Best wishes from the UK. Cheers! Ade.
Thanks for the kind words. Easiest way would be to block the floyd. But I guess if you were to refinish the guitar a solid colour, then you could fill in the front and back cavities with wood and putty, sand it flush and mount whatever hardtail bridge you want.
@@Ryan_Sens thanks! im just searching for a printable template since i didnt receive my pickups yet. i guess ill have to wait, better than making a wrong route
Nicely done and the 7 strings on a LP style it's super cool.

Excellent. I'd been considering using a plunge router to do that in the past... Now I've seen you do it I'm convinced!

@@Ryan_Sens a pleasure dude 😎 . That was my thoughts, just wanted a second opinion.
May i ask where you got the pickup template?
I make all my pickup templates in a similar way to how make my neck temps.
