    The one thing I incorporated in my regimen was to use Aloe Vera gel, it is light but, definitely lessened my frizz and defined my curl more, it is not a heavy gel so, when I want more gold I add a stronger holding gel on top of it. That has been working for me this last year. Aloe Vera gel is a must for me from now on. Thank you for sharing.

      What aloe vera gel brand do you use?

      Thank you so much for sharing Carlyn! Aloe vera is excellent for boosting curl definition. I used to add it to my leave-in conditioner occasionally for extra curl definition, and it always worked wonders! Maybe I should re-visit that technique.

      Hi! I'm not sure what kind of Aloe Vera Carlyn uses. I've always achieved great results with using Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice & Gel. A couple years ago, I made a DIY aloe vera gel leave in conditioner video. If you're interested, check it out here: th-cam.com/video/3UkXbPcwV18/w-d-xo.html

      @@AfroKhadisiac Yes, you should, I apply it , not mixed, after I apply my leave in and when my hair dried I seen no frizz especially in my crown area and seen frizz was gone and curls was popped even there, I was so happy and decided aloe Vera gel was the gel for me, like I said it’s a light holding gel , when I want more hold I will apply a heavier gel on top. It’s also a good detangler.

    This is so a thing. I've been doing it for 3 years now and I dont have to use any tools or products to define my curls. But my hair is very healthy too! I dont have any product in my hair as I write this but my curls are poppin fresh out the shower lol.

    Sounds like the MAX Hydration method, wash and gos, etc. We definitely revolutionized haircare to the mainstream and took it to the next level.

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey MC! There are some similarities, but curl training is more about sticking to your regular routine while being mindful of the products and techniques you use to enhance your curls. In contrast, the Maximum Hydration Method involves specific steps & products, like baking soda and yogurt, to improve curl definition. I like curl training because I'm able to keep my regular routine while focusing on how my products and techniques work together to define my curls. ; You’re absolutely right about the revolution of haircare. There’s a lot of great info out there now that wasn’t available before! Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Didn’t know it had a name for it, I’ve been doing it for like almost 2 years. I called it curl manipulation, I didn’t desire the tight curls that I had cause it would frequently cause knots😩 so I would apply healthy means of heat throughout the seasons to make my curl pattern looser🤷🏾‍♀️ I love it cause it’s healthy and I deal with less breakage/ knots within my hair.

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Mac! Thanks for watching and commenting. 😃 It sounds like you’re referring to heat training which can help loosen curls. Curl training, on the other hand, focuses on enhancing your natural curl pattern. While curl training doesn’t involve direct heat, using a diffuser or hooded dryer to dry your hair should be fine. I'm glad you’ve found a method that works for you and your hair! I know from experience that dealing with knots and breakage can be really frustrating, so it’s great to hear you’ve found a good solution to remedy that.

    Ive been watching your channel for a long time and whenever you find something that works for you I feel so happy for you. I also struggle with anemia but I've also got an underactive thyroid disorder + polycystic ovarian syndrome which has impacted my hair's density over the years. Taking better care of my health and practicing healthier hair routines has gone a long way and I'm slowly getting my density back. I wanted to ask you, as a longtime user of the Camille Rose Fresh Curl styler, do you still recommend it? I bought a bottle over a week ago when they were having their 40% off sale (got it for $10) and I saw a worrying review that said the formula has been changed and "isn't as moisturizing as it used to be." I still wanted to use it and was wondering if you've noticed any changes in its formulation or if it's impacted your hair differently? I love Camille Rose because their products are so rich and concentrated and they help keep my dry, coarse hair moisturized for days on end, and it would break my heart if the Fresh Curl winds up not working for me. My hair is naturally low porosity but is currently high porosity due to getting it permanently colored at the salon every 3-4 months so it needs all the moisture (and protein) it can get to stay healthy.
    (As a side note, your skin has the most stunningly radiant glow to it! It looks so moisturized and healthy and I'd love to know your routine!)

      Hi Miae! 👋🏾 Thank you so much for your ongoing support! I’m sorry to hear about the health challenges you're facing, but it sounds like you’re getting things under control. I'm also working on improving my health practices. Regarding the Camille Rose Fresh Curl, I haven’t repurchased it in a while since I have so many other refreshers that I love and use. However, I did notice a change with their Cocoa Nibs Growth Oil that I used to enjoy on my scalp. It makes my scalp itchy now. 😭 When I checked the ingredients, I saw that it contains coconut oil, which tends to make my scalp dry and flaky. It seems like there might have been a formula change. I also ordered from them during the recent sale and am really hoping that the formulas remain consistent! As for my skin, thank you for the compliment! The camera I use does make my skin look radiant, but I also use products from Ancient Cosmetics. They’re a Black-owned, all-natural brand that sells body butters and scrubs. You should definitely check them out! ancientcosmeticz.com

      Thank you so much, Candi! I was surprised to learn that these techniques are considered curl training practices, but it makes sense since that’s when I see the most definition in my curls. The only new method for me is twisting my hair in small sections with deep conditioner. I used to do this years ago when my hair was shorter but didn’t realize it could enhance curl definition. I definitely think it’s a game changer!
