Love the build, and I’ve been a Deadliest Catch fan since the beginning. One suggestion: switch the positions of the block and the controls. The guy manning the controls would be in a very unsafe place where he is standing.
This brings me back to when I was like 8 I had the police boat hull and every time a person came round we would build on the boat. We would build stuff like spy boats hotel boats etc...
Great new intro. Great start to the fishing boat. Fireboats do exist in real life (not just in Lego). I live close to seattle wa. I've been down to the waterfront before and there is a fire station on the pier. From the dock you can see the lifeboat that is stationed there. Fireboats are used to fight fires on boats that are out at sea. You can't get a fire truck out into the ocean☺ so they use a fireboat
Love all the crab. It's a fantastic build. My grandpa was a big crabber in my youth. he never went on the big boats but took our small boat to drop a dzn or so pots. When he crabbed he would look like your capt. and his big white chin curtain. As always thank you for sharing your video and ideas.
The fisherman that's idle at the back can be preparing the other crab traps for deployment. And the idle one up front can be helping bring the full trap in
Hey. Seeing that 10.1k is beautiful isn't it. Odds of dying on those ships is very high. Love the cages. Actually I like all of it. And at least until ur done, I have no suggestions.. Great job and I love the arrow at the beginning
Yeah, my eyes are used to reading a four digit number so I often have to look twice just to read it. I'm glad everyone noticed the arrow (and wink?) at the beginning as it took a while!
Back in the day as a child I used to build Moc Lego builds of Deadliest catch ships. However, that was before the days of purchasing custom pieces so I had to be very creative with my crab Pots as well, along with the boat in general! Great build. Only feedback I'd have is make a small captains cabin where he can steer the ship and oversee the deck, otherwise great build!
I was so excited to see this moc. The northwestern was and still is my favorite ship from that show. Wonderful moc as usual Robin. Love the use of the strawberry twine to for the pots. I love how the old breaded guy is the greenhorn on bait box. Also congrats on both the 10000 vote support and 10000+ subscribers.
Yay, love this build so much. The amount of details is just incredible. I especially love the crab pots, and I forgive the use of non-Lego netting, which quite frankly looks better than Lego netting. Suggestion: Add some 1x1 round plates in trans blue to the grab storage, so there is a suggestion of water.
I agree. This is a fun build and the non-Lego netting does look better. It is a great suggestion justADDbricks, but I’d worry that the 1x1s would perhaps be lost with all the other details on the deck. Maybe the water go in the less full hold? As I’m not able to physically see it, I can’t really tell and leave it to Robinhood. Another thing I might suggest is using one of the action stands from the DC minifigs to better secure the crab in the chute. Just an idea.
Can confirm that these boats do float - have a few different Lego boats with these sealed hulls and my sons love playing with them in the paddling pool
A welcome addition to Brick Nottingham. At least your townsfolk won’t go short on seafood. Love the added animation and look forward to seeing you complete it 👍
Very nice ship so far, but SS Willie? She doesn't look like a steamship. A nice detail would be to have a lobster in the cage being hauled up, I'm sure there's often unintentional catches that they throw back. (I'm aware I have made a number of lobster related suggestions to you, it's very incidental, I'm not obsessed with lobsters really.)
Yeah I've got a lobster somewhere. They never seem to catch them in real life though. I'll see how it looks. SS Willie seems fine to me. At least it's a boat name. I guess the SS isn't right but I don't think I'll be having a steam ship!
@@RobinHoodBricks there are vi Då of people catching both, doesn't seem to be commercial fishing though. They have got to catch something unintended, I guess a mermaid wouldn't fit though, that would also have been fun.
Great job. I live in a large commercial fishing area. They fish lobster, crab, herring (sardines) and pretty well everything else also. Cool boat and congratulations!!! Your fast food corner could become an actual set because it got to 10k votes on ideas! Cool I’m probably going to try and buy it just for the fact I saw it being created and it is designed by someone I know!

What a cool idea for a boat! Points for originality again Robin! I can't comment on technical details as I have no idea lol but love what you've done for the details as always. Look forward to part 2!
The netting really makes it look a lot better. Good moc. I’ve seen the game that is based on the show you said and this is very accurate to that. Great job, can’t wait for part 2!
Very cool Robin, I just love it! I actually have this boat hull as a spare so this gives me a great idea on how to use it. I can't wait for part two of this video. I have watched deadliest catch, it's a good program. When you used the bucket handle piece as the tool to gauge how big the crab are is brilliant! I was thinking of that piece as I was watching the build, very cool! The only amendments I could think is maybe have some bearded minifigure expressions that would be yelling at the fishermen that are sluffing off since on the show it always seemed like someone was getting yelled at 🤣. If there is room in the crab holding tanks for a few round transparent blue plates to show that there is water inside that would give it some color also, you might not see it either. I do like the crab pots, a very cool design and using a different netting doesn't bother me at all, it looks legit to me. Great job Robin! Awesome video!!
What a spiffing addition! I just want to thank you for answering every single comment/suggestion I've made. Since you won't be able to do that for ever, sadly.
Hi Robin, You’ve got loads of crabs 😂👍🏼 But aside the pun, nice vid again. Love the built. The cages look great, even though the netting aren’t Lego. Maybe a slight adjustment to make the crane a little longer? Can’t wait for part 2.
Really like the crab 🦀 pots! Looks awesome so far 👍 and congratulations 10 thousand subscribers and 10 thousand supporters for fast food corner! Hope it gets made into a set 🤞
Like the build. Here in Atlantic Canada the lobster boats with a wheelhouse on the front are the most common. They're called Cape Islanders. I think they're built like that so they have the biggest working deck, but I'm not a fisherman. They're about 40 to 50 ft long and about 16 wide. Just Google search images if you're curious

I love the idea for a boat to catch crabs. Although I prefer the driver to be on the back because if this was a car and you’re on a tight turn drift, you won’t know if your back wheels are on the grass.
Looks great Robin. It's been a while since I've seen the show but from what I remember you got all the basics. Perhaps one of the extra fisherman can be a new recruit and is getting a bit sea sick over the side. I know how you like your micro scenes. I thought that sounded like a funny little one to add as you seem to have enough crew. Looking forward to part two.
I haven’t noticed much LEGO fishing boats like that, especially a ones fishing for crabs. So this is looking really neat so far and I’m excited for the rest of the build. (PS: I’ve tried out your Hot Tea Technique on some stickered pieces, and it works really well so far.)
Lovely video, thank you very much. It inspired me look after this boat hull in my old items box and i found it. however it‘s in blue with a light gray deck, probably from some ancient police boat. I will use it to give the shrimp fishing boat from hidden side a serious upgrade. Wonder how your cabin is going to look like! By the way also congratulations for the double 10k last week! Your high quality channel really deserves it!
Thanks for the support. If it's blue and light grey it was probably from a cargo vessel. If it has cargo holds it could be worth something. Very nice. Good luck!
A great looking MOC, I'm looking forward to seeing part two. In the crab store under the deck, could you try tiling the unused studs beneath the crabs with trans to show more water? Might make the yellowish orange pop 🦀
The pots look great. Great original build. Does the boat also catch Crayfish? Octopus often try to get into pots and make a real inky mess. Could be a fun scene. Plus pots ive seen have had random boots, toilet seats, cans, bootles etc in them. Thanks for the regular builds. 👍
I watch deadliest catch all the time. Your boat looks fantastic I would love to go out to the sea and help but seasickness wouldn't work for me. They do make good money but it's very dangerous. Nice video.
This is looking amazing! I’ve never thought of this idea. Interesting design choice to have the wheelhouse at the front of the boat. I tend to see it at the back, but I have actually seen a decent amount at the front now that I’m thinking about it. I love the fisherman with the hat! He’d fit in perfect with my city. I may have to take a page out of your notes haha! I especially love the cages, they look great! Also, how much crab did you order for this?? 😂
Fireboats are quite common in Sydney Australia but I think the reason you haven't seen many fireboats in the UK is likely because tugboats are often equipped with fire hoses anyway but you do get fireboats in Australia they've also got them in Tokyo Bay
Lots of life added to the scene already, just makes me want to eat some fresh crab! Maybe there could be an escaped crab hiding somewhere once it's finished
I agree. LEGO does a million tow trucks and police helicopters but not enough harbour or carriage stuff. I collected five cranes for mine and it could still take more!
@@RobinHoodBricks it's funny cause I had a conversation with my dad about this a while ago. Cause like you have every year multiple police waves, every few years fire fighter sets/1 wave, and once every 10 to 15 years a hospital. And then there are the Harbour. From Lego city, you have a Harbour from 2007, 13 years ago, and a Harbour from 2011, 9 years ago. I get that police sets are liked a lot by kids, I still don't agree with a police station EVERY year. And even though they are different, it's still repetitive. I just wish they would put out more cargo sets. With trains its like, okay, once per 2 years is understandable, but then put out more cargo sets, cause like you have 2 waves per year. And you cant say they ran out of ideas seeing as there are A Lot of police sets per year. And some things like space sets are once every few years, but they get cool new aspects and designs, like the last few waves were regular space sets like rockets and shuttles, while the newest space wave is focused on a Mars expedition. And with cargo, they havent released a cargo set in 9 YEARS. The most recent big cargo focus only set was I think the cargo terminal, which BTW I own. I really disagree cause Legos probably doing that because the target demographic thinks of being police men or fire fighter when they are in lower school, while I think not much kids think about working as harbour/dock worker. I get what Legos doing, but I don't agree. Anyways, I hope you read this, hopefully it isn't too long. I put like 15 to 20 minutes typing this.
@@RenzoK07 Don't worry, I read it all. It might be because they sell twenty police stations to kids for every one longer term collector who wants more variety. I'd love to see the figures but I can't believe LEGO aren't just trying to maximise sales. That's what they should be doing so we'll just have to fill in the gaps with MOCs!

That thing looks super cool man. Great job!❤️❤️❤️ I’m really excited for the part two
Coming soon!
I love how you Put that little arrow going across the screen when it shows your channel profile
Thank you. It took a while to do actually, haha!
You could have the idle one thtowing up over the side. As in he's the newbie. :D
That actually happens in Part 2!
I've seen though thanks for reminding me.
Nice details and nice start.
Thanks. You'll love part 2 then!
Holy moly, the new intro looks so cool!
Glad you like it. It was a viewer suggestion!
The pots look great. Great original build. Does the boat also catch Crayfish? Octopus often try to get into pots and make a real inky mess. Could be a fun scene. Plus pots ive seen have had random boots, toilet seats, cans, bootles etc in them. Thanks for the regular builds. 👍
Haha, yes they do!
only wish it was one video looking forward to part two
Yes, sometimes the length of the video doesn't reflect the time it actually took. There was a lot of forwards and backwards in that!
I watch deadliest catch all the time. Your boat looks fantastic
I would love to go out to the sea and help but seasickness wouldn't work for me. They do make good money but it's very dangerous. Nice video.
It's the 22 hour shifts that would destroy me. My poor back!
You can never have enough crab!
This crab boat is amazing! Great work
Thanks a load. It gets even better in Part 2!
Fireboats are quite common in Sydney Australia but I think the reason you haven't seen many fireboats in the UK is likely because tugboats are often equipped with fire hoses anyway but you do get fireboats in Australia they've also got them in Tokyo Bay
And with real life Nottingham being about as far from the sea as you can get in the UK, it's no real surprise I haven't seen any!
@@RobinHoodBricks very true that
Cool!
Thanks!
Daamn, that's so good!
Cool thanks, Giacomo!
Lots of life added to the scene already, just makes me want to eat some fresh crab! Maybe there could be an escaped crab hiding somewhere once it's finished
That sounds fun!
Really cool intro and pretty dope boat
Cheers, Porter!
Looks awesome keep up the good work and hopefully we can get some new Lego ships soon
There's the new Ocean Explorer that uses two small hulls back to back. Not sure how I feel about that!
@@RobinHoodBricks yea i know plus the price may not let me get one
Love the new intro and outro!
Thanks, it was a viewer suggestion that I put into action!
Cool moc, really looking forward to part 2. I like that your expanding the Harbour area cause I love lego Harbour areas but there are almost no sets
@@RobinHoodBricks yeah, mocs are needed, thanks for reading my comment ☺️
crabfishing is my dream job
VERY hard work!
Amazing MOC!
Thanks. Don't forget Part 2 and also the final crab boat amendments are at the start of today's Hospital Part 2 video!
I am waiting for part 2!!! I hope Lego will make something like that boat
Yeah, it's quite fun really with lots of play features!
Idk if ur gonna see this so I will say it now and again on ur next video, but ur ideas set was just featured on brickvault. How cool is that.. Congrats again man. Im really so happy for u..
Just saw it thanks to you. I do appreciate people pointing out these mentions as it's easy for one person to miss them!
@@RobinHoodBricks I was so excited when I saw it that I had to tell u as quick as I could. Before u reached 10000 I had got a few streamers to mention it as to try and gain u some more support. I was so happy when u reached the goal. When I saw u on another big channel I was floored.. So happy for u. It is because of ur channel that I got out of both a bad part in my life and the accompanying depression that came along with it. I'm more grateful than u will ever know. Thanks for the great videos and can't wait till I'm opening fast food corner. I really hope that even tho u have the original, u will still make a video of u going to a lego store and purchasing this set. That would truley make for some good content..
why don't you use the netting pieces as the cages
Official LEGO netting? I said that in the video. Not sure what you mean!
Great start! I love it!
Thank you, Ty!
A very impressive Willie, Robin ; )
Thank you. I've not had any complaints!
@@RobinHoodBricks Strange... with all those crabs 😂
Where is the place where you control the boat🤔
Like I said, coming in part 2!
very very sad day today, the Tree House was available in canada for 2 minutes on legoshop, by the time I decided to buy it, it was back to Temporarily out of stock statut... I start to think I'll never find it before it retire...
Sorry to hear that. It's annoying but I reckon it'll be around for a bit longer. It's probably just the global supply chain. I was worried I'd miss parts in Bricks & Pieces but I made my orders so I'm safe. Phew!
nice be interesting to see a steam boat style boat or a uk narrow boat
A little steamer would be funny!
Just saying. If you need another number sticker, there's 1 on the 60097 set (city square) it reads '1932' I think.
I've got loads of them from actual fire sets in red that could work in Part 2!
