    There are those who apply grease to the bolts instead of Loktite. Grease will change the torque specs and, worse, may result in the bolts loosening over time. It's best to apply Loktite's BLUE colored (NOT the red colored) thread liquid onto the threads and, while still wet, thread the bolt into the chainring in a balanced pattern (opposite sides as best as possible). This application, though one can ride their bicycle 1/2 hour after, fully cures in 24 hours.

      Hey, I’m riding a small size frame and I’m 5:8inch. I was between frame sizes (small/medium) so I highly recommend downsizing if you’re in the same situation. A smaller frame is much more comfortable and nimble to ride and obviously lighter. The Creo is a fantastic bike and it still puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

    • @NOWitsOKto
      @NOWitsOKto 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@electricbikerider I was looking at the Creo page and the size chart and at 183-184 cm puts me in the L to XL size. Thing is I tend to have long inseam for my height at nearly 34 inch which usually has me having the saddle "way up there" (note one fake knee, so limit motion also require high saddle height). I do have a couple other e-bikes for cruising around, but they are not road bikes. Certain days I like to do group rides with road bikers and that is why I'm looking at the Creo. At 70+ with the fake knee, having the help for those hills can be the difference between “doing it” and or another route. Ya, the Creo isn't cheap, but seems to be one of the better e-road bikes out there. I'm hearing that stem is quite nice and some say a difference maker. Also, curious as to the exact bag you use for tools, pump etc., as I thought I saw a bag on top bar just ahead of the seat. I'll have a look through your video to see if you have an accessories video. The buttons for shifting the pedal assist from off, to Eco, etc., seems like something nice to have, so one can keep hands on the bars. Is that a Specialized thing, as I don't see it. Maybe just chat with the bike shop. Thanks.

      @@NOWitsOKto You probably would benefit from visiting a Specialized bike shop to get a feel for the bike and get fitted etc because like you said there not cheap. I have the Creo SL, which is road specific. The Creo 2 is a great bike but it’s Gravel specific which unfortunately doesn’t interest me as I prefer road riding more. Have you looked at the new Scott ADDICT RC eRIDE, it is an awesome road bike and one I would probably purchase if I were to buy one now. @electricbikerider 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi, I absolutely love my Creo SL road bike, I wouldn’t change it for the world. The Creo v2 is an amazing bike but it’s just not for me as it’s a gravel bike. It has flared bars for gravel trails a dropper post for steep slopes and the wheel rims are too wide for thinner slick road tyres. If I was in the market for the best gravel bike the Creo v2 would be my choice. I prefer riding the tarmac more than the gravel trails. That why I have two sets of the same wheels, one set up for the road and the second set up for gravel, so I have the best of both worlds. 🚴🏻⚡️

    Hey Harv... just watching this before going out this morning and I noticed something that I've seen before but never really registered with me... On most arterial routes you cycle about twice the distance from the shoulder / curb that I can pull off here in Japan - I am an advocate of if taking more room to force drivers into having to not pass so close ( give them too much room and they're going to take it and more ) but I have to ride about a good 40cm closer to the roadside than you... I think that this shows the level of "cycle awareness" that drivers in Japan do NOT possess - literally, drivers here have no idea how to act around road cyclists here likely just due to a lack of experience and solid road laws about interactions with cyclists - no close pass standards here... In some ways this dictates that I "must" ride a little more aggressively to remain safe - I know that sounds counter-intuitive at first flush but I need to be a little more assertive I think in the future... You will laugh but - in Japan - there is almost an unwritten rule that "If I didn't see you then no harm no foul" hence my use of both front and rear cameras EVERYDAY on EVERY RIDE.... Cheers

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey Fred, I Never hug the kerb Fred, that's rule one of road cycling. You need to be further out into the road, sometimes right in the middle of the traffic stream. Being in the traffic stream helps you to get treated like traffic. Cycling near the gutter may feel safer but sadly It vastly increases the chances of drivers buzzing past you with inches to spare. You'll have to contend with drains covers and debris like broken glass etc. And you're less likely to be seen at all by drivers. Just like in Japan and here in the UK, the commonest type of car-cyclist collision is the 'Sorry, mate, I didn't see you' variety. You must register in a driver's field of vision. You'll do that best by cycling where they are looking. Drivers look where their vehicle will be in the next few seconds, which is to say: ahead of them. They pay much less attention to people and objects in their peripheral vision. You and I Fred may feel exposed riding further out from the kerb. But it's very rare for cyclists to get rear-ended by drivers. Being safe is being seen - and forcing drivers to react to your presence is key. Take care and happy riding 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻

      The 28th limit would be fantastic, but UK law doesn’t allow it. I have the Garmin Varia on my bike and it does beep away. It gives peace of mind though when on the road and is one of the best purchases I have made from a safety perspective 👍🏻

    This is a very cool video. I never knew Devon has those kinds of cycle lane networks. Are they like that all around Devon/Cornwall as the local roads seem a bit narrow in places to successfully go out and ride on. I only ask as my family and I are keen to relocate to the SW and as a keen cyclist I've always been concerned that the local roads might be a bit sketchy.

    • @electricbikerider
      @electricbikerider 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Burdonite, The South West is a great place for cyclists. There are many many miles of flat coastal cycle paths, river side gravel roads and miles of canals to cycle along all leading to and through beautiful places, perfect for families. If you like road cycling Devon is a hilly area to ride, but the challenge is always enjoyable. I wish you luck if you do decide to relocate here and thank you for watching take care 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻
