I thought about painting it the color that would have been original to the truck, but I decided to retain the heritage of the engine itself. It will be a conversation starter whenever I pop the hood. I'll have to wait a while for the distributor because it's backorder. Doesn't matter though since I have a lot of other work to complete before I need the engine running.

Just had an idea . seal all the out let and fill the block with evap-o-rust and let it soak .
I like it! An idea crazy enough that it just might work.
