- i am officially moving into my very first NYC studio apartment !!! ahhh !!! what a week this was unloading all of my belongings into my new apartment, trying to unpack as much as possible, go into the office, set up my wifi, and manage my mattress & full length mirror deliveries. i also try to make time for balance in the midst of a very chaotic moving week!! LET THE SETTING UP & DECORATING VLOGS BEGIN !!

It’s coming together nicely😊 can you paint your bookshelf white? lol. I think lighter colors will make the space bigger and brighter esp with no natural lighting

I just want to say
I am a 46 year old empty nester and in the last couple weeks I purged all my belongings and moved out of the family home I raised my kids in and into my very first apartment for my new chapter sans kids
It was overwhelming and exciting
And watching your videos kept me on track with hitting the gym and packing and getting through my own transition in one peace
Imagine you a young beautiful girl was my inspiration and watching you get through your move step by step moving from one place to another before getting to move in to your own space
All the while working and working out and staying so positive ❤
You helped me keep perspective and thanks to your good energy I got through my move with good vibes and energy

honestly you're high functioning AF right now. moving is so chaotic and you're handling it like a champ. Tips: unbox something every day. it doesn't have to be in any kind of order if that's not how your brain works. Doesn't even have to be a big box (especially on in office days). Might be helpful to tack a list to your fridge of everything you think you need to order as you unbox. Place your amz order by Wed of each week so you can have your things by the weekend :) Once you're all unboxed you can tackle how to arrange this and that bc you'll be able to see everything that does or does not have a home. YAY I'm so excited you got moved in!! Don't worry yourself to death over getting everything done, It all just takes time. Maybe you could find someone to help you set up the bed. I know they offer people like that in bigger cities. But I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to see how you decorate it and see how your style has changed being single now!! I think I remember in a past video that you said you liked flea marketing and vintage stores. You can find some really neat stuff at those places to decorate with. Put a sheet over the blinds to cover it until your blinds get fixed. Use push pins to hold the sheet down instead of using nails

I was gonna suggest getting a Task Rabbit in NYC to put your bed together for you!! Brooke Miccio just moved to Brooklyn and has used them in all her apartments.

What about putting your mirror on the wall at the foot of your bed so you have a little distance from it. Also do you have room for a small round table and chair that could go under your electrical panel so you have a flat surface for working and eating at home? Maybe you can find a console table to go over your ac unit so you have a nice surface upon which to put your TV other than in the window.
I’m pretty to sure that’s really bad feng shui to have a mirror reflecting back on the bed.

I think the table adds a nice separation from the living space. The bookshelf I think is too big for the space. I think you have to think minimalistic and build up. So, consider adding a lot of floating shelves to the space and get rid of or store anything you don't need.

Book cases give you great vertical storage. Especially when you paint it and use some cute storage bins on the bottom shelves for you pjs and underwear.
I’m sure it’s going to look great when it’s done..don’t forget to buy hangers to get those clothes off the floor😊

I wanted to do that but it’s not supposed to fit that way it’ll be backwards and look strange lol

Absolutely the same! I moved and the movers had to come back two days later regarding some furniture damage. The guy walked into my apartment and did a double take because I had unboxed everything! Pictures were hung on the wall, flowers in the vase, tv hooked up and on. It looked like I had been living there for years! 😂. My OCD would not allow me not to do that!

I feel like you’re doing way too much.. I would not be able to function if my apartment looked like that, let alone take a workout class.. but I’m a nester, I need everything to have a “home” before I could even fall asleep the first night. But I only own like a quarter of what it appears you have. I moved with 13 boxes and a couch and a bed. I wish that bookshelf fit in the corner across from your bed, it would be nice to showcase some items, but I bet it would block the window.

No desire to own something in the middle of nowhere (or own at all tbh) and i dont know why people care what YOURE paying for rent with YOUR money, like you don't know it's expensive 😂. Also, it takes me forever to unpack as well. Depends on my move and what's going on. Take your time. YOU live there, not anyone else ❤

Do you realize what you could rent in your home state of Indiana for the amount of money that you're paying for the studio in New York was absolutely a positively no advantageous of opportunity
She's not from Indiana 😂 and that's obviously not her (or many peoples') goal or want.
None of this makes any sense. Why wouldn't you have wifi set up before you moved in? Why do you have family and so many friends in NYC but nobody helped you unpack? Why is it taking you a week + to unpack? Maybe stop going out for endless coffees and invest that time and money in getting your home set up. You seem to have lived in total chaos for the last three or four months - pull it together already.

This did not feel like a moving vlog. This vlog was all over the place. All you did was eat. I could have organized that place in 2 hours.
