    Your videos are super helpful in researching what i want to check out next. My top 2 favorite edc multitools are the Powerlitre and the Skeletool cx.

    Nice overview. I flip flop with the Power Access for the very thing you said, it's a bigger version of the Powerpint's toolset. Plus, the knife looks like it's meant for unaliving people, rather than utility. I would go for the Flash MT because it offers something different than the Powerpint does. And what the Powerpint does, it does VERY well. Thanks for the vid!

      The Powerpint is an expert in it's niche!

    I tried to carry the power pint but I wasn't a fan of having to use both hands to operate it. If it worked like the poweraccess assist then I would be all for it. Ended up with the flash and I love it!

      Nice! Each is a really nice tool but I can see how the FlashMT could definitely be a more streamlined carry with it's minimalist toolset.

    I have been disappointed with the PowerPint overall as it has inherent design issues, some of which carry over to the PowerAccess. First off, none of the onboard tools are accessible one-handed, save for the pliers. Both are two-handed which may not be a deal breaker, but does make them inconvenient to use at times. As you pointed out, the knives are not very robust. The PowerPint knife is very thin and small and mine came from the factory extremely dull. Another issue for the PowerPint is that there's no locking ability to keep the pliers closed so if you do clip it to inside your pants pocket, you will find that as you move around, they do start to open up and when you reach for them, you are very likely to get stabbed by the ends of the exposed pliers. Still, it's not a terrible tool, but I think for the cost there are better options out there.

      I would love to see more competition in this multitool size.

    I still think the tip- up plier design of the Paratool is very cool. I wish they would reintroduced it to the market. They really set themselves apart from Leatherman and Gerber with that innovated design. I was only six years old in 1992 when the design came out. The Paratool has similar implements compared to the Leatherman PST with the exception of the serrated knife blade on the Paratool. The PST looks like a mini tool compared in size.

      I read somewhere some of the early SOG multitools had assisted tools that helped them spring out. Did you ever run across any like that?

    • @richardsullivan1776

      @@hvacbudget8600 no sir, honestly I only have the SOG Paratool. I can tell you it was designed by Blackie Collins and the earlier versions had "hex" fasteners on the tip- up level instead of the "circular" rivet style on our later versions. The earlier versions also came with a black plastic molded case with Blackie Collins' signature on the back. The later versions came in nylon sheaths which I was fortunate enough to get when I bought mine on ebay. I'm a big fan of getting my multitools "second hand" on ebay at a big discount and cleaning them with rubbing alcohol and general use oil. If something has rust on it, I soak it in a vinegar bath for two to three days. Works wonders on metal.

    Do you know if the flash mt can accept a 1/4" bit even if you have to let the handles spread apart a bit more?

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure, but I don't think so. I think the 1/4" bit would hit the slanted edges of the holder.

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only have the standard version PowerAcess at the moment, although it would be neat to have the deluxe and the assisted versions.
