How much is a bale of hay these days ?? Ps I live that the older gentleman gets special feed ! As he should but you know some people wouldn’t !😞so I’m so happy you do! Shows you care !!! ❤️🐴❤️
We paid $23.50 for our 95lb bales of Teff... I have heard from others it their hay is even more... it's going up for sure! And thank you so much ❤️ Maverick deserves to eat food he can actually digest 🥰
Awesome! Video. Wow! You have a GREAT system and your horses are so Loved and taken care of. You truly have an amazing gift the Heavens above. PeaceAndLove Lori
Knowing that farm/ ranch work is far from easy but you make it look almost effortless. You and Cisco make a great team you’ve got each other’s back you two work very well together. Have a great day y’all see you next time!
You and Cisco are Blessed doing things you love in life. Seems like a lot of work cleaning horse pens, but I know first hand, it is a “therapeutic life.”
My horses are so sensitive that if I bent them like that they would go forever away from me with their hind quarters so when they want to take off while I am getting on I grab the right rein the put it behind the horn and bend them to the right until they come back to me. Then I get on with no pressure on either rein. Being alert to bend them to a stop when my right foot leaves the ground.
Hey John! I definitely think some horses are taught different cues. I like mine to know that when I bend them like this I want them to stop. I teach it by bending them and just staying in there even if they move, as soon as they stop moving their feet and are bent I release the pressure. But that's not to say it is the only way to do it. People like different things ☺️
Hi again AMRY A great day! Typical full with daily chores and whatever in between. Alot of work but never seems like it when you just plain love it! When the weather cooperates the early mornings are soo nice as are the eves after a busy day. Always love the smell of nice hay and to listen to the horses chew! Taco Tuesday name is a chuckle for sure but those flea markets are soo fun and getting all the fresh veggies etc is the best. Lol you're living my kinda life there Amry... Milo is such a sweetie. Easy going happy to please and ready to go wherever with you. Tricks are a bonus and he like all the horses love their treats! Nice buddy. A great life for you and Cisco and I'm so happy you both get to live exactly what you love. Keep it going and thx as always for sharing. Catcha next time...
Loved it Brought back memories as a very little girl. Dad dressed me before sunrise and then out to feed the animals, milk and turn everyone out to pasture. Then on to the pigs and sheep. Breakfast always smelled so good then. I still have a deep love for all animals and live thru you Amry. Tks for the wonderful memories
Hi there CC!! Thank you so much. I always look forward to your comments ☺️ You are so kind and speak the truth! We sure love what we get to do and love that we get to share it with others ☺️ Thanks for coming along my day. Taco Tuesday was a high light for sure!
LOVED it! Glad Cisco made it back in time for evening chores...OH, and Milo the wonder dog showing his prowess with the English language 😅 ...keep 'em coming y'all.
Hi Amry We are from N. Dak. and are leaving from here to go to Mesa for the winter. I have been watching your videos for some time now and enjoy them immensely. We get out and about when we are in Az. and I think that one Tuesday we will head out to taco Tuesday for the fun of it. I have a classmate that winters in Wickenburg, so we might have to visit with them while we're in the area. I have been following J-heart, and painted desert for a couple of years now, and was happy to see that you have gotten a couple of their horses. They have some very nice looking and smart horses, so I'm looking forward to watching you train them. I am wondering if Cisco has a you tube channel as well. Keep up the great work, I enjoy your content, keep rolling it out.
Hi Mike! I am glad you enjoy my channel. That is awesome! If you have the chance you would love Taco Tuesday, it is something different ☺️ I agree about the JHeart horses, they are very nice. I am excited to work with some of our own. Cisco does not have his own TH-cam channel but occasionally he stars on mine, maybe I can talk him into staring some more ☺️ Thanks a bunch!!
Also people don't realize when you have horses or livestock you have a feeding routine and when people want help it interferes with this routine and actually slows you down instead of helping reduce the time to feed
Thanks for letting me know about taco Tuesday in Aguila…I go off roading over near there and over in Wenden a lot. Have u checked out Robsons Ranch by there off the 71 yet? Cool old mining town u can visit and get tours in
Very welcome! Taco Tuesday is the best! That is awesome, you would enjoy it. And no I have not been to the Robsons Ranch, I will have to check it out sometime! Sounds fun 😃
A friend told me that horses are now high enough that a person can actually make some money on them. He was talking about $125,000 for a safe horse for trail riding to Easterners. That information gives credence to another friend's story who said that he was offered $40,000 for the $7,000 horse his boy was riding in a youth rodeo. The offeror was from another state. Both friends agreed that safe horses, though none are truly safe, are bringing a premium. Another factor regarding the higher prices now, according to a trainer is that regular people who have really safe horses are not selling them. Not sure how much exercise they get after the sale. And the behavior of equines depends as much on the owner/rider as it does the horse after the sale. It is no wonder gasoline engines took over the transportation market.
You have some good points!! Horse prices are increasing overall and as a trainer that makes me happy. There is a lot of time and money that goes into making a nice safe horse, like years to make. But the other good point you have is that a horse is only as good as its rider... I live by the quote that "instead of buying a $30,000 horse spend $30,000 on lessons". A person could buy a million dollar horse but that horse will be worthless if they don't know how to ride it. Thank you for sharing this info!!
Well, I reckon I musta been doin my best "Austin Powers" shaggy dance with my eyes closed to the music the first time round...cause when I walked in today it was goin again and you were on a tractor! WHOOP KooL ... 🙂
This was fun because I did wonder how most of your days are! I am learning a lot about horse care by watching others so I can be ready when I get mine! As always, love seeing you on the one wheel! Last time I tried it I felt it was an epic fail because I had no muscles but now that I've been riding for a few months again I feel much stronger and I need to get my husband to charge it so I can try it again!! (it's his one wheel not mine hah).
I am glad you enjoyed my day ☺️ oh no!!! don't feel bad, I have majorly crashed my one wheel several times 🤣 and it hurts!! The more you do it the easier it gets for sure!! ☺️
Wife..... Oh my goodness sweet pea, you work from dusk to dawn.... literally. What time does an average morning start for you? That "Taco Tuesday" place is really cool, and the prices aren't bad at all 😃. Especially for FRESH fruits and veggies. Hey Amry I have a question, when working horses "training". Do you wear spurs? I'm sure you wear them when competing, like running barrels or roping.....So basically what I want to know is WHEN do you use Spurs? And when do you Not use them. Loved your in the day of Amry video 😃 Love and Blessings always ❤️🙌 Jennifer
Hi there Jennifer 🥰 I usually like to wake up by 5:30 am but if I stay up late editing then I sometimes sleep in until 6:30 am. A lot of that just depends on what time I get to bed 🤣 I LOVE Taco Tuesday, it has become a routine for me. I actually rarely take my spurs off. That doesn't mean I am always using them on every horse I ride. Some horses only need my calf pressure to move forward and that means I do not need to touch them with my spurs. The nice thing about always wearing them is that they are there when I need them. But I have learned that if you get good leg control you can control when you use them.... it took me some time to get good at that. Thanks for your good questions ☺️ Have a great night ❤️
@@cnahorses wife..... Yeah I was really curious about the Spurs thing mainly because I've seen some "cowboys" really using them to what I believe is excess. I mean really digging them into the horses gut or flanks 😮. I don't quite understand why that would be needed 🤔 What are Spurs used for, or why would you specifically need them? I've never used them in my life, but I did more showing in halter, and when riding, I was always blessed enough to be on a dead broke horse, where calf pressure was all I needed. So if you can (have the time) I obviously know your can.... Please explain the whole Spurs deal to me 😃 happy your home Cisco 😉 Love and Blessings ❤️🙌 Jennifer
@@mikehenry6284 These are great questions!! We have actually had a lot of other people asking about spur use as well. I will make a whole video on the topic. It is a lot to explain so it might be better to just make a video 🥰 Thank you so much and I will get this video made soon!!! ☺❤
The pasture horses eat from the ground mostly because we haven't invested in some feeders for them yet. We'd love to get a few to leave out there (I really like ground feeders because that is the most natural way for a horse to eat). If we are going to get feeders we need quite a few so we can still spread the hay out and everyone can get a chance to eat. We haven't been able to budget any in yet but it doesn't concern me too much because like I said it is most natural for them to eat on the ground. But in the stall pens the owners hauled sand in there so it would not be a good idea just to feed them on the ground because when they eat they could easy pick up sand with the hay and sand colic. Eating off of natural ground doesn't cause problems but eating off of sand or gravel could make them sick. In regards to the Tennessee Walkers... We haven't been able to buy bulk hay from our usual guy and we have been having to buy in smaller amounts. I usually include feed into the cost of all the horses I have in training but since hay is pretty pricey right now I told the owner that if she could buy her own hay that I could charge her less for training. I am not training all of her horses, just one, so the other two are just here being boarded at the moment. The hay she has is also Teff but a different blend I think ☺️ So mostly for cost reasons ☺️ Hope I answered your questions ☺️
Fun to be part of the morning round 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎😊
