  • In every work environment, careful planning and the provision of sufficient clearances and working spaces greatly increase worker efficiency and productivity. They also help in mitigating property damages, as well as physical injuries to workers, in case of accidents. These statements apply to dragon fruit plantations, as well.
    This video presents the minimum spacing and clearance requirements that need to be considered when laying out dragon fruit trellises. The recommendations provided in this video are based on lessons learned, gained from the author's actual experiences and research, as well as, from inputs of other dragon fruit growers.

Also suggest which kind of long sustainable material rust proof wire I should use in making of Trellis support.

    Hi, thank you for your lecture, however I would like to how many dragon support poles are in an acre?

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One acre has 43,560 square feet. If you place one pole in every 65 square feet, you would have a total of 670 poles.

    Like everyone else I praised this perfect presentation until I read everyone already said so. thank you.
    A question. I want to build a fence at my front boundary with my dragon fruit plants benefiting. Me benefiting from their beauty and taste. So I want it to look great too. Which wall or fence would be best to grow them on place? Running south east or north to south please?
    ps I love Dragon Fruit

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for visiting and commenting on our videos. Regarding your question, I would plant them along the fence where they can get the most exposure to sunlight. Dragon fruit needs plenty of sunlight to grow stronger and produce more fruits.

    What's is the climate requires?
    In my city people only growing it in greenhouses...
    My city has Mediterranean climate some winter days heat drop -1 -3 Celsius...
    Is that dangerous to grow dragon fruit?

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. Temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 4.5 degrees Celsius, can damage this plant. The optimum temperature for proper growth is between 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit or 18 to 27 degrees Celsius.

      Thank you for responding... Another question; how many type of dragon fruit exist? which season is the best for planting ? Can we accelerate the dragon fruit growing by fertilizing (such as Californian warm fertilizer)

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many different varieties of dragon fruits, probably close to a hundred. However, they can be grouped into those with white, red, pink, and yellow flesh. Depending on your location, the best time to plant dragon fruit is in the spring or in early summer. They like sunlight and grow faster when exposed to sunlight. You can accelerate growth with the application of Nitrogen, which promotes vegetative growth. During flowering and fruiting, you can use less Nitogen and inrease Phosphorus and Potassium. Be cautious, however, when using synthetic fertilizers. Too much fertilizer could burn the plant and cause environmental issues. I recommend watching our other videos on dragon fruit fertilizer dosage.

    Can we plant 6 stems on one pole

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course you can. But note that the more stems you plant per post, the more they compete for available nutrients in the soil. I would recommend limiting the number of stems to four. Thanks for visiting my channel.

    In trellis method: rod or wire which one better?? Life of dragon is 25-30 years, trellis method preferable for this long period

      Wire rope systems provide more advantages compared to rods. They are easier to install, adjust, and are more flexible.
