Even if I accidentally did that to my kid, which I wouldn't. But if I did, my worth has a human being would drop into the negative and I'd be asking the judge for their harshest punishment.
the cops treated this guy with more respect than those other ones treated the deaf guy who did nothing but walk while black. hell no, the cops aren't gonna wait while you shower. wtf.
“She was sleeping, and he didn’t want to wake her”… when I was a kid, I loved when my dad carried me from the car to my bed, took off my shoes, and tucked me in. I would pretend I was asleep sometimes so that he would do so. This is just heartbreaking
My dad did that with me too. If I fell asleep downstairs or in my parents room, someone would take me back to my room. Sometimes, I’d also notice someone carrying me and pretend to sleep so as not to spook them. In any case, for this father, that’s no an excuse.
My mom did the same but in reverse, we were going to Florida for vacation and my mom carried me into the car so I could keep sleeping since it was like 4am
Omg a dad’s love for his kids. 🥹so it is heartbreaking to hear him give that as an excuse…there is no excuse. Rest in peace to the daughter because she did not deserve that❤. He obviously wasn’t thinking of here. I feel as if sometimes people forget that kids feel everything we feel, if not amplified.😢
That was the best as a kid felt like teleporting. I’d sleep in the car and wake in my bed it’s so cool.

I could never leave my kid in a hot car while said kid is asleep. That's just common fucking sense: get the kid out of the car seat, carry the kid to the kid's bedroom, close the door - you can still do whatever the fuck you want once you brought your child to bed. Even if I were drunk, I would always make sure my child is safe. This dude clearly wanted to kill his kid.
"I want him at home with the other children" That sentence alone should get her kids taken away. She's literally in court admitting she WANTS someone that has already killed one of them to be near them. She might as well be giving her kids a knife to play with near an electrical outlet, smh.
She’s a terrible mother I get that it’s hard to leave someone u have kids with but he KILLED one of ur kids there’s a point of no return that she is too stupid to get she should get her kids taken and when her dumbass probably has more kids with him they should immediately be taken away too at the hospital no one should have any sympathy for her anymore if she lets him around their kids for one more day
There is a difference between a murder and killing, id look it up. But yeah he will be treated as a murderer but he is not a murderer until they can prove him as a murderer. Which most likely wont be the case but who knows
So this guy didn't even meet his firstborn daughter until she was 5, somehow he got custody of her, almost killed her multiple times by leaving her in the car for 5 hours multiple times and by not feeding her as a type 1 diabetic, and eventually made her try to kill herself at 13 years old. And for some reason he still had even younger children in his custody. Can the system stop failing for even a few days at a time?
Goes from fake crying to "well, im going to take a shower, you can stay and watch if you want" i genuinely cant understand how this is the thought process of some people, what a monster
When I was a BRAND new parent, my wife and I went out to petco, walked through the doors, looked at like 2 animals in glass (like 30 seconds if that) and then I remembered that we had forgotten our daughter in the back seat. It was the single most embarrassing moment of my life even though nobody ‘knew’. We went outside (obviously) and straight home. By the way she’s 6 now and IVE NEVER forgotten my child in the car since. I understand that not everybody is perfect but I really don’t see a reality, especially for me, where my child DIES in the back of a vehicle because I ‘Forgot’ about them in the back seat. Ridiculous.
"my whole family's gonna be ruined" right, because what would "ruin" your family is a bad reputation. not the death of your own child that you directly caused. THAT didn't ruin any family.

Freakin agree! Wtf is wrong with that lady? Some people are purely stupid and ignorant. If she want that dead beat dad home and not in jail. Says something about her. She might also be a parent neglecting children.
Trauma bonds are common for people with low self-control. They get tangled up with low-class and dangerous/unworthy people but yet still cling to them. I'm glad I'm not that type of person - no matter how much I love you, if you're fucked in the head and won't get treatment for it...bye!
I feel like you have a responsibility to divorce this guy and not defend him after that, even after he repeatedly left the kids in the car she didn’t do anything, this could’ve been prevented
But think about the kind of person who would pick a guy like this? You’re thinking of what a well adjusted, normal, healthy person would do. Normal healthy ppl would never wind up with a guy like this, it takes a screwed up mess to pick a guy like this
i think it's horrible to stick by him, but it doesn't mean there's no saving her necessarily. she said already he treats her badly, yet she still defends him anyways, so she clearly has little self-worth in the first place. i wish she would find the strength to get the rest of their kids and herself as far away from him as possible! that man is a joke of a father and husband, if he is a coke addict there is no doubt product in the house where one of his children could one day find accidentally if he "forgot" to put it away. i believe in the other child hot car death case with that ross mfer, the wife sided with him at first but had divorced him by the time they went to trial. so she may change her mind yet. who knows?
You can see his demeanor completely change, how he's holding onto the shower door looking at the cop like "bro, you're not gonna let me shower, fr? I'm not going anywhere just let me do my thing. Man this is some bullshit bro..." **walks away like a little kid being told no** To think, literally less than a minute ago, he was supposed to be crying at the death of his child. Bro isn't just a sociopath, he's a sloppy, shitty liar.
Cause he halfway accepted he's f'd in the a at that point I am in no way surprised the temptation to mess with cops for that emotional feedback loop of power over the patience of others kicked in. It's kinda like something out of a micro-abuser playbook. Which isn't a hyphenated word I've heard before yet just fits his sheet.
My father turned into an abusive drunk when I turned age 12, right around when my parents divorced. My parents had joint custody. I told my mother that during visits, he would be neglectful, verbally abusive, and didn't provide food very often. She finally got the visit order changed after I told my mother he had been driving drunk with my brother and I were in the car. I'm so thankful she didn't enable him. I'm going to call her right now. ❤
It really does depend. There was a heartbreaking story of a dad or mom that didn't usually drop their kid off at daycare agreeing to do it for the day, but the kid fell asleep and the parent fell into their routine and totally spaced on the fact that they were supposed to drop the kid off. You interrupt a routine that you do 260 days a year and sometimes your brain just short circuits. They still faced charges but it's hard to be mad at them or feel anything but sad at the situation in general.
the fact that the eldest daughter has type 1 im surprised she lived through his negligence. my mother had to have constant vigilance with my diabetes till my teens
seriously yeah-- then theres parents whose kids has SIDS who wouldve been amazing, doting, and compassionate parents Not trying to say any death is good or anything!! it just seems like parents who do literally nothing to help their kids, usually scratch by without consequence; then theres parents who did nothing wrong and their child tragically passes [[incase it seems like it, i am NOT saying this POS did nothing wrong; he did nothing. He did NOTHING. Hes awful]
He didn't want to wake her because he didn't want to "deal with" her. That would be inconvenient and burdensome. His behavior indicates to me that he doesn't care and he's just upset he might not get away with it. Those tears, if there really are any, are only for the fear of being held accountable.
@@sdraulitolito44I will say that this guy might not have wanted to kill the child but he is kind of a moron in this kind of scenario since he had a history of doing this and left the child in the car because he didn’t want to wake her up. Not that he forgot.

Literally murder. Right? The end result of his actions isn't all that different from stabbing someone to death or shooting them. His actions directly led to the death of someone. His own child. My word isn't much, but I'd argue that's straight-up murder.
@@Arezkkuzu I'd argue that it goes beyond manslaughter with common sense involved. Everyone knows not to leave DOGS in parked cars when its a little hot out, let alone a two year old infant in the blazing heat for three whole hours. This is murder because any adult would know better than this, so it shows an intent.
She suffered. It's worse than murder honestly. How long did that poor kid sit there sweating profusely as she baked and screamed for help until it was too late? 😢
I don't know if you commented this first, but there's multiple other comments saying this exact same thing. Do you really feel the need to regurgitate what other people have already said?
Usually when kids are left in hot cars on accident they are newborns with deeply sleep deprived parents who deviated from routine. That's not this. This is a whole ass 2 year old. That's first degree murder, man.
His reaction alone shows how much of an accident this was. Maybe he didn't want the child to die, but he certainly didn't care if she did or at the very least valued his games and pron over the child.
I’ve heard it with toddlers, too. But yes, when there’s a really consistent routine, and then one day there’s a difference in the routine, an accident can genuinely happen. This was totally different. A hint to never forget your child in the car is to put something you bring inside with you in the car seat. That way you automatically check the car seat when you get out of the car.
I have a 5yr old and I absolutely REFUSE to believe anyone can EVER forget their child in the car!! The second I get out of the car she is the first thing on my mind to get next.. Sure I have left her in the car for a minute or two while at my house but that was either to put groceries inside real quick or even letting dogs inside real quick. And even then I have the car running. I will never believe anyone could ever just "forget" their child in a vehicle

So let me get this straight, the dad showed more emotion about being arrested just like the mom showed more emotion about his arrest? Meanwhile, he negligently caused their daughter's death while she enabled his negligence that cost their daughter's life. Sickening from both parents.
Not only did the mother know he had a history of leaving the kids in the car and let him take them unsupervised anyway, she also wants him to face no consequences. As far as I'm concerned they're both terrible. Those poor children.
It’s a trauma response, sometimes a partner who has been abused for so long makes it seem as if their abuser can do no wrong and actively try and fight for them back. They act as though everyone is too hard on them and we don’t understand how hard life is for them
Once, when my kid was 10 months old, I got in the car to go to work, forgetting half way there that my wife was home for the day and had my kid safely with her, and I drove all the way to day care only to get out of the car, look in the backseat and freak out for about 2 seconds before my brain kicked in and I remembered.... everyone was okay at home. I called my wife in tears, talm bout I don't know if I can be a good dad. It freaked me out that much. I immediately connected that to the other way it could have gone. Parents go on autopilot and leave their kids in cars all the time. It's scary. Now I'm a father of 3 fiesty little girls who are way too big for car seats. That one 2 second scare was enough to make me a freaking ultra-mindful warlock for life.
That's because you're a good person who wants their child, and not at drunken mess who wants to banish their child from their mind whenever he can. This guy didn't want kids. He wants drugs and alcohol
I remember a puppy was left inside a vehicle at a grocery store parking lot in California. The temperature was hovering around 105F. The amount of angry people that surrounded that car was insane. They asked employees to notify the owner on the microphone. It didn't matter. A man smashed the window before they could get the owner. They actually attempted to keep the owner's identity anonymous as long as they could, because these people were rightly pissed.
I have a hybrid & I have the opposite issue. I'm always worried about my windows if I take my granddogs anywhere where they'd have to wait in the car during the summer. The vehicle can be absolutely silent but the temperature control is still on & cooling at 67 degrees. The dogs will be chillin like villians but it'll look like I'm irresponsible & left them in a locked not running car unless people are smart enough to realize but I wouldn't hold my breath about that.
As someone with a mother that was complicit in MY abuse, I'm absolutely going to hold the mother accountable as well. She's an ADULT. She KNEW he did this, and even after it killed one of her kids shes still wanting him back around his other kid. She is neglectful and she is absolutely to blame for this happening as well. A good mom would've left his ass the first time she caught him doing it.
Exactly. I am still a teen dealing with a mom like this, after awhile you cant even pity them because of how borderline idiotic it is and selfish to put your needs of companionship over the welfare of your child. She is at fault as well no matter how manipulated she was, when you let your child die in the hands of someone who's wronged you and will continue to wrong you're at fault for putting up with it.
The fact she can even stomach to be around him is wild, unless shes secretly plotting to off him, I cant imagine sharing a roof with him let alone a bed. omg the chills.
I think it’s tricky because it sounds like the mother may have been abused along with the kids and we don’t know how long that’s been going on. We also don’t know if the mother was herself abused as a kid (which can mess up your mind severely without proper treatment and therapy). I’d be hesitant to judge without knowing what the mother has been through first because abuse is usually a cycle. An abusive parent doesn’t usually exclude the other parent from their abuse from what I’ve experienced
@@tylersprouse6861 lmao if the mother was abused it doesnt give her any excuse to allow abuse of her own child, and regardless of how fked up she is that doesnt change the fact that its fked and its a danger to her other child. If shes abused all the more reason to not let him back in the house. The judgement comes from common sense, no one needs to know anything about their past to know he is not good for anyone and shouldnt have custody or responsibility over a goldfish, let alone a human being.
The mother also needs to be charged with neglect, or at the very least have her mental state assessed- she willingly left her kids with him knowing his history, AND is defending him and wants him home now?! Insane
At 85 degrees outside a car can reach over 125+ degrees inside. At 109 it’s probably approaching 200. He literally cooked his helpless 2 year old. Purposely keeping her there. Horrifyingly vile.
For some context my A/C broke while I lived in Vegas during rush hour even with my windows down after about5 minutes my phone went into temperature mode where it can’t be used and by the time I got home it had got so hot the internals had melted and I still have black spots all down my screen that was 2 hours at 102° I went through a gallon of water and still felt like I was dying
According to Stanford research, and using a calculator based on it, we got this: The 2 year old was in the car from at least 12:53 to 4:15, so to round this up, we'll make it exactly 3 hours and 30 minutes. The car is also reported to be in direct sunlight, which is perfect (in the worst way) because the research was based on direct sunlight hitting the vehicle, not just some or in the shade. The temperature outside is 109°F at the time of the 911 call being placed, and based on that and the 210 minutes elapsed, you get an interior air temperature, of approximately 157°F. Not 200, sure, but 160°F is considered the recommended internal temperature for lamb, pork or beef, while 165° is the recommended internal temperature for poultry to be deemed safe to consume, so... yes, he literally cooked the girl. Medium, based on the USDA page. All this to say: agreed, disgustingly inhuman to do this. We still have issues from child abuse and we used to have nightmares about the The Visit trailer where the girl was shoved in the oven. We cannot imagine, despite everything we've seen and been through, being actually put in that temperature and cooked to death. Well he didn’t forget, he did it on purpose. But there are many cases where a parent genuinely has forgotten, usually because the society we live in isn’t very helpful for parents (especially of young children) and there’s been cases where someone is worked to the edge that they forget to even feed themselves and eventually to the point they forget children in cars. Not saying all that to say people shouldn’t face consequences, but that these things do happen and it’s not always stupidity that’s the cause. The wife too. I was at first under the impression maybe she had had children before him and then his deranged and dangerous actions came later making it harder to leave but the fact that she had text messages showing he was a continually endangering their children, specifically leaving them in the car, and then upon him killing their youngest child she still says she wants him home and she’s not a danger? Yeah she can go away with him and those kids needs to be removed from their custody.
The guy leaves his kids in cars before this and the CPS does nothing. But if you get caught with weed as a parent in a not weed friendly state CPS will do everything they can to take your children. We do need a child protection agency, but we need a new one. CPS hardly prevents abuse and inadvertently puts kids into abusive situations if they even actually take kids from bad parents. A joke of an organization and needs to be replaced.
Yeah… Their case workers are so overloaded and overworked that they can’t dedicate the time needed to actually help. All they can do is make sure the kid isn’t in direct harm (has a shelter, basic things, food, etc)… we need a total overhaul of so many of the systems here
@@_Kuma_Yet what the OP said is true and I’ve seen it. They may be overloaded but the main problem is a lot of predators going looking for work there. They don’t seem to care about the heinous stuff, just the little crap against people who can afford to pay the penalties in court. Honestly F CPS.
There was a story in news about a father who wanted to make his children more Independent. You shouldn’t have weed near kids. Both situations are bad but one is worse than the other. But still, as a soon to be mother I would not want to have weed in the same house as my child is living in.
I feel like it's kind of an oversight on the car manufacturer to design the car to automatically turn off when not driving despite know how often parents leave kids in the cars. Even if they shouldn't do so, knowing that there will be parents that do it anyway, they should absolutely not have designed the car like that. To be clear, I'm not saying the manufacturer should be charged for this, but that they should change that design.
The wife is an enabler. She knew exactly what he chose to do repeatedly and allowed it to happen again and again. She's just as much to blame as he is. She knew there was a problem and she let it happen. The fact she said he wasn't a risk to the community and still wanted him around her children tells me all I need to know about her. She saw plenty of warning signs and chose to ignore it all. These people shouldn't be allowed to have or interact with children.
Exactly this. If this was a case where she was somehow unaware of these actions, yeah she doesn't need any blame thrown at her. However, given that this clearly has been an issue for who knows how long with these two, no, she deserves to be blamed for what had happened too. I understand that being in love with someone can make you look past a lot of their red flags and all but something like this should never be ignored. The guy clearly had a problem long before this happened and she didn't put her foot down when she needed to. Now she lost her daughter as a result of it.
Exactly. People undermine the selfishness of this and undermine the damage these people do, in the overall equation. They're the support system for the abuser, the abuser is just the figure head. All dysfunctional families have this setup, these are usually the people who get something out of it, no matter how vague, but they're too cowwrdly to go through with it so they're content with with the crumbs the abuser drops. Is it the vain picture perfect family? Is it financial luxury? no body can really tell with enablers, they usually seem nice or like innocent victims of the whole situation, but in truth they are gnarly ravenous unfeeling scavangers indifferent to those who suffer on their watch. If push comes to shove and the ball is on their court. At best they'll do NOTHInG and at worst they will attack their weakest member. They are self perserving parrasites. The point is, they make it harder for the situation to be resolved. For genuine victims to escape. They might not be malignant, but even knowing you functioning as the scapegoat to ward the abuser off their backs is good enough to keep the charade going. People think motive is dependent on maliceas necessary component to inact evil. History would tell you otherwise. To the pits with these cultist wolves.
As a father of 2 little girls, anytime I hear news like this, it just breaks my heart. Every child deserves parents. But not every parent deserves a child.

@7:11 how can you stay with someone that treats your children like a neglected library book. And how can you keep leaving your kids alone in his care. And her saying he isn’t a danger to the public and that she wants him back home to be around for their other kids is PATHETIC
Like the others said, probably a victim and if not, she's also crazy like her husband...if anyone has lived here for even a week or probably 1-2 days..there's no way you'd do this, EVEN WITH AC ON in the middle of Summer. Just grab your child and bring them inside, people do it all the time and it's a 50/50 if they wake up or not...but so what? now your child is gone and it's your fault. Pathetic. I can't believe the judge allowed him to get out at all. Also, with her thought process on this, and how she's a doctor/MD....very scary with the way of thinking.
Nah I blame the mother here too. This isn't the classic serial killer neighbor/ family thing of "he was so normal!" SHE KNOWS HE IS FREQUENTLY ENDANGERING HER CHILDREN. If you leave a kid with knives you shouldn't be surprised when they get a cut. And it's your fault.
Thats what I was thinking... She's a victim but she refuses to protect her kids and watched as he lost custody of his kid because he pushed her to a point where she wanted to die. By staying and letting him continue to endanger their kids, she enabled him, leading to this. And even after killing and lying about the death of one of her children, she says he "isn't a danger" and wants him back around her other kids, honestly, I'd take the kids from her too if she wants to be that negligent
@@justahermit1172 This isn't a gender issue though? She KNEW he did this kind of dangerous and neglectful stuff to their kids. And then you morons don't see the logic in putting up simple sun shades for cars. Just because you don't want homeless people using it for shelters. What a Capitalistically enslaved society.
That wife is apart of the problem at this point and I don't see her as a victim. She'd probably give this man another baby and let him continue to watch the kids.
yeah shes just a poor little victim even though she was aware of drug abuse and child neglect and allowed this to happen and advocates for him to have access to other children to possibly kill shes just a poor little victim🙄
If your spouse has to tell you to stop leaving the kids in the car, it's on purpose. It's no accident past that point of refusing to not endanger your kids.

Abso-frickin-lutely agree!
According to Stanford research, and using a calculator based on it, we got this:
The 2 year old was in the car from at least 12:53 to 4:15, so to round this up, we'll make it exactly 3 hours and 30 minutes.
It's appalling to the point that we want to revive the bronze bull torture method just for this sploosh donor.

Well he didn’t forget, he did it on purpose.

Incels in the comments as usual, want to make it a “see? women like POS men” generalization, but the fact is both parents are awful selfish pigs.
