I'm using it with my V3 amp 4 cable method and midi through. I use foot switches to switch my amp channels 1, 2 and 3 as well as amp boost. I don't need the amp foot switch anymore. Tutorial videos like this help as well since they offer more ideas, thank you.
Thanks for the vids, I've had mine about 2 months now, amazing kit. Basically parked my amps. =) I'm doing pitch shift +9-9 into dual delays on most of my sounds. I'm running a second expression pedal. 1 to up and down the pitch and delay levels and the other to do either volume or whammy most of the time.
You can use it with your amp as well in a 4 cable method connection, for patches where you have the internal amps, you can copy them to other slots and remove the amps and replace with Send/Return. So many options with this unit.
Thanks for your video. It's very interesting. I'll tell you something in case you can help me. I want the guitar sound to go to my cabinet with the effects I want, but then I'd like the right output to go to the mixing board to be heard through the monitors, but through this channel I need to put a cabinet simulation. Is it possible to get two different sounds, one for each channel? If so, how would it be done? Thanks!
Yes, it’s possible, watch my “Return and Divide” video here-> th-cam.com/video/8L8HdbNfAFs/w-d-xo.html This will show you how to use the branch out function to run a separate output. But basically, you set a parallel effects path so that the branch out can go to your monitor/amp and the other to the mixing board or vice versa.
I have it now quite a while but did not use it too often as I am just a hobby player and rather lazy to really dig into the GX100. hence, I often revert to my Boss Katana 50 and its build in effects. However, thanks to your videos I found that the GX100 seems to offer much more than I know. As I am a big AC/DC fan and I’m wondering if I could use the UA Lion amp model pedal with the GX100?
Printing effected guitar tones directly to "tape"!
Old-school bravery!!
Haha, yeah, it’s a lost art 😂

Thanks mate! Yeah, nice one, it’s incredible how flexible this thing is and so functional in a live scenario

Of course, just run it in to the FX Loop and use it instead of the GX100 Preamp.
