I think it does need a box spring. If you have room in each room, it would be nice to have a suitcase stand that guests can use. They make some cute ones that could go at the end of the bed. Just a thought. You always do a great job and I would LOVE to have you come and restyle my home!

In the guest room if you tuckin the comforter around edges and bottom It will look way better. The wood on sides of bed will show too. Those flowers with the purple ball blooms are serendipity alliums. They are from the garlic family and very easy to grow, they are deer resistant also bonus! Love your videos and your little family!

Just get a set of bed risers - easy to incorporate and very cost effective.
The guest room turned out really nice. So glad you showed Charlie boy, I haven’t seen him in awhile.
I’ve been blessed with 5 boys, and another mom taught me to put a dot on the tag of the oldest’s clothes, two dots on the second’s clothes, etc. It keeps everything easy to sort out, and when it’s time to hand it down, you just need to add another dot!
Love the Day in the Life style videos. 💜 I think the bed looks great without a box spring. The height of the headboard and the night stand all seem to make sense. But perhaps getting feedback from guests would be helpful. Just because a lot of beds are higher, doesn’t mean all have to be or that it’s awkward or uncomfortable if it’s not. It’s actually nice to be able to sit on the side of a bed and have your feet on the ground. 😊
Hello! You should use a basket for each kid then you don’t have to sort! If you have not tried that before…it helps! 😊
I have a separate laundry hampers for each kid-no sorting or trying to figure out which clothes belong to which person. Saves time and makes it much easier!
That memory foam mattress isn't meant to be used with a box spring. I think it's just the style of bed frame you picked, it's meant to be low to the ground. Maybe risers would help.
I would scotchguard your headboard. Sometimes the oil from a person’s scalp might discolor it. Great decorating!

I have to say I fought my husband's suggestion of doing each child's laundry separately but once I turned the corner and did it I never went back. It was SO SO much easier folding because I didn't have the mental drain of "whose is this all the time". In addition I eventually told my kids that if they didn't turn their clothes the right way then I wasn't doing their laundry. Obviously they have to be old enough to do that. It was super frustrating for me AND finding the clean and folded laundry at the bottom of the basket. I like folding and I do fold my husband's clothes (he washes them) but i have the same rule- if he doesn't leave them right side out then I won't fold them.
Always good to have extra bedroom for guests. Love the bed. One viewer stated wait on box springs to see if guests think it's too low..I thought was a good idea also. I enjoyed the video.
I would not add a box spring. It’s a platform bed so designed to not need one I think. I like beds lower to the ground actually so think this looks perfect!! How nice to have two guest rooms!

Tara you can get what is called a half box spring...I got one for my bed to bring my thick mattress down lower on my bed and it works great!!

Room looks beautiful! I think the bed you ordered is a platform bed, so it’s meant to be low to the ground. I don’t have one of those but you could add a low profile box spring like others suggested. It’s just a guest room, so the choice is yours ❤ love your videos!

Day in the life videos are my favorite, especially when they have a little of everything in it. The room looks good, but I agree with a lot of the others about adding a box spring. A low profile one would be perfect.

OMG 110 here..........I havent wanted to use the oven in a month!I like my bed up higher.......but Im old!What a lucky dog ...my peps died last month at 14.......missing him so much.This summer has been hell.

It's a platform bed - doesn't require a box spring. The mattress is too thin - It's a low profile mattress. I recommend investing in a thicker mattress.

I would say go for a box spring for added support. The mattress is not thick and at least in the video, doesn’t look like there is much support for an adult. They do have low profile box springs so it would not raise the bed up too high. I think a standard box spring is 9” low profile come in assorted from 2” to 5”.

Hi Friend. Where did you get the seagrass/woven hurricane candle holders from. I need them so cute. I’m not sure if you know but furniture stores sell half box springs. I have one for my youngest son’s bed. They are not a thick which is perfect.

I like a low bed and I think this looks just fine. The box spring will make it look bulky and then you have to figure out how to cover it. I think once you put a nice picture on the wall, it will help balance everything out.
Maybe get those thing that raise the bed , you put them on each leg
Hi Crystal! Well I’m for a low profile bed….have one in my guest bedroom. But as some other have said you could get risers or a low profile box spring. The decor was perfect in both of the bedrooms! I agree with making wraps ….its something that you can do much easier when you can be home.
Someday I will be home long enough to make a wrap for lunch! 😂 I still haven’t opened up my Ninja….maybe this weekend so I can make some ice cream!! Hope you have lots of fun this weekend! Take care, friend!❤
RE boxspring.... if you decide on one, check out the half thick ones..... (might be called low profile?).
Then it will raise a bit but not as high as regular ones.
The room looks nice and inviting. Anyone should love being able to stay in there.

Have you thought of using bed risers on the bed. They wouldn't lift the bed as high as a boxspring would.
