Why does the idea.of Mann co buying up a bunch of class 08s &.reselling them as there own sound like something they would do.
Because they have multiple locations where only rail access would be cheap

But this is TF2; anything goes. If Shakespeare can be ripped AF, Abraham Lincoln being the first Pyro and Australians being insanely technologically-advanced (oh, if only that were true IRL...), I think having UK trains (complete with US horns) on an American railroad is perfectly fine.😋👌🏿

As much as I love American trains, the British railways have a certain aesthetic that I enjoy.
Ok Tbh I like nitpicking on rail related animations but this is actually really fun to watch and pretty realistic. I love how those shunters only go very slowly too

0:21, the horn, it’s the horn of the razor train. The name of this particular horn that is heard is the K5H horn, used on many of the BC Rail diesel locomotives
You might very well be right on all accounts, 'xcept this isn't the Razor Train horn. It's a generic TF2 background sound. The Razor Train horn is deeper.
@@FlyingScott it’s maybe just an edited sound effect of the same horn to make it sound lower, I bet Valve did this so the train Gordon Freeman is on and the razor train didn’t sound the same.
The class 08s are some of my favourite BR Diesel locomotives. And those livery’s are really good lookin’

(Yes, you can actually sometimes find SD40-2s for $75k on various classified sites. I was surprised too, but I guess it's because they're super common but not in much demand, and the individual units were run hard and put away wet)

I find it amusing that Scout was using that little British shunter to pull that American 4-4-4-4 PRR T1
08s can easily haul a train of 16 coaches, which each weigh on average 36 tonnes. A T1 weighs about half that combined weight.
