    Hey man! This review made me finally decide to sell my R3 and pull the trigger on the MT-07.
    I've had it for two weeks now and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks a lot for the great review!!!!!

      Dan i’m thinking of getting an mt07 for my first bike, but i think a used r3 would be smarter. would you recommend the r3 as a good first bike?

    • @craigroets5035
      @craigroets5035 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dan mate..... Does your MT also have an annoying engine sound like a fan or a chain knocking? A sound that is there at times and disappears other times ?

    • @dan_abrusci
      @dan_abrusci 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      george farrell Hi George!
      I would actually recommend the R3 as a good first bike! Since it is also better in price I think is a pretty amazing option, don’t let the 320 cc engine thing trick you, the R3 is still a pretty powefull bike.
      When I got mind I got it used almost like new, learned with that, and for the MT-07 I got it new straight out of the dealership.
      Two things to keep in mind tho..
      1 - the R3 is extremely light weight
      2 - the riding position is pretty leaned.
      Make sure you go to a dealer and sit in one before making the decision. It might be a small bike for some people!
      Good luck man!

      @@craigroets5035 Hey Craig!
      To be honest I don't recall man, did you find any videos online of the sound?
      I think the only annoying sound is when the fan comes on but I guess I'm used to it already!

    "ECO" showing on the dash does nothing to the engine at all. It isn't a mode or anything fancy ... it's literally just an indicator showing that you are riding in the most economical part of the rev range (usually about 5K and under) at small steady throttle openings 😉

    I just bought the 2019 MT-07 and rode it from Denver, CO to Phoenix, AZ and it was very comfortable & impressive at the same time. Wearing a 50 lb backpack I could only get it up to 117 mph and it took about 13 hrs which I split into 2 days! It corners great, front end comes up easy and the dual disc brakes stop it just fine! 41 mpg avg and people were quick to tell me how good looking the bike was! At just $7,350 it was well worth it!

I replaced the entire clutch assembly but it started again after about 5 months. New swing arm and coolant pipes also rusted within a few months. MrKdr500 hi. I can’t try the Ninja 400 (no test ride where I live). I wanted to try the 390 but, after just sitting on it, I knew it was too small for me. I was also considering the CBR500r, I thought would be good for both daily use and to travel long distances. But a friend told me that it has many vibrations at certain rpms.. I can’t decide:) I tested an NC 750x 2019 Manual gear. Not bad. But I always disliked the wind buffeting and noise of cross tourer bikes (had bad experience on long journeys with a Vstrom 650 (my head would shake as if it was in a blender)... same with Aprilia Pegaso : less buffeting but so much wind at highway speed (even with an aftermarket higher windshield)

    Hi all, just to clear something up incase the younger riders DONT KNOW there’s 2 versions of the same bike there’s the 47HP A2 license friendly RESTRICTED version then there’s the what Yamaha call the HO HIGH OUTPUT with a fair 75HP and these 2 engines are slightly different as the HO high output 75HP has more CC than the restricted version. I’m selling 2 bikes here in the UK to fund a new MT07 full power but will be putting a turbo on from extreme Creations from Australia which takes even the restricted 47HP upto 113WHP the de-restrictive 75HP upto 125WHP so stay tuned I’ll be doing my first ever TH-cam videos of buying the bike to installation and then dyno tune so you all see what can be done with the MT07 after that I’ll be doing the MT09 then the MT10 with 220WHP wish me luck. SCOOBS UK.

    How do you think Mt07 vs Mt15 for beginner ??

    • @StateOfMind63
      @StateOfMind63 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The MT07 torque and acceleration might be a bit much for a total beginner depending on the individual. I wouldn't recommend it for a teen learner and would cautiously recommend it to an adult as a learning bike unless its the down-powered 650cc version. The nature of the MT07 will tempt you to ride fast and push it to its limits. My opinion - the full powered MT07 would make a great second bike after you have been riding 1-2 years and gained some riding confidence and experience.

      I'm 5'7 and i can barely flat foot it. You might want to consider lowering the seat height but it is a big bike (height wise) for smaller riders. It's still manageable but to be safe, visit your local dealership and sit on one to understand the feeling of the FZ-07

      I recently had this same debate. Mt07, z650 or sv650. I looked at them all in the dealer. I found the mt07 to be the most comfortable. Some things on it feel a little cheap at times but overall I’m very happy with it. Bike performs great. Never leaves me wanting more out of the engine, and if some day it does I’ll put a less restrictive air filter in it and tune it. I’ve got an m4 slip on exhaust on it and it sounds great
