I guess I’ll have to compete in strongman to actually watch the competition because it seems like it is impossible to watch a complete competition without being spoonfed tiny incomplete portions events much less entire competitions.
Im going to play devils advocate here. How much money does WSM get from CBS? Would WSM dissolve without TV money? Just curious, because I 100% agree about live streaming.
Gotta remember CBS is just the states. They sell to another 70 countries. So without tv they wouldn't be able to get the sponsors from having a few thousand views on their videos. The amount of money to fly in athletes from all over the world must be huge, then include food, stay, transit, staff, etc. Also strongman needs new eyes on the sport, TH-cam is all algorithms, we see it since we follow it... I'm glad rogue live streams the Arnold's and Rogue invitational but totally understand why WSM sticks with the current model.
@@zanenicholson8002 Do they really still sell the programme to that many other countries? I was under the impression that it was mainly for Channel 5 and CBS. At least in Germany, they stopped airing pretty much any strongman (except the national championships on an infotainment-ish show on another channel ^^) some time in the 2010s, afaik.
Aren’t they spoiling the fact that Matt goes to the final, by showing clips of him in the final in these group-stage videos??
This has already happened a year ago, how could it be a spoiler?
This happened forever ago 😂
@@adrianbolton9279 I know but people who watch on the tv aren’t always folling the sport
Thanks
Show all of the athletes.

You can be certain no one is complaining about their food when Matt's working.
