SUPER helpful - I have the majority of your collection, but some of them I'm going to replace upon your recommendation. Thank you SO much, Gaz. And, oh by the way... YOU are my absolutely FAVORITE Chef on TH-cam. There are m-a-n-y great ones, but there is just SOMETHING really WONDERFUL about You. Thank you for being here! (: Deborah
with the sieve I find it is great to have two so you can use one for dry stuff like flour and one that can get wet for draining and rinsing things like rice I would include some kind of storage containers as essential in my kitchen for flour, rice and dried goods because it limits moisture from the air getting to the dry ingredients and spoiling them
i spent about £10 and a special trip fifty miles to the nearest big town to get my chopping board, but several years later i'm still using it nearly every day - it's just a standard beech biggest size chopping board
My husband gifted me a wet stone twenty years ago and it's used weekly. Best investment!! As was our Vitamix! There is a reason great cooks own a Vitamix. The key words for us are invest in quality because it will save money!
You need to try making vegan Momos they are amazing! Im Indian and we have many different forms of momos all around but my favorite is the veg tandoori momos! There are more like the normal steamed and fried momos. I really want you to try them all and not to forget the sauce that we eat it with.
I actually use a blender that dates back to the early 1950's (it's an Oster). My mum gave it to me because she wanted a new one. Since then, she's gone through 2 blenders while I still use her old one practically everyday. They don't make tough blenders like this anymore.
Many thanks. Your cookbook arrived in Berlin for my daughters birthday. She is exercising great restraint not to open it until the day. Next, I will introduce her to your Vlog - so much to learn and such worthwhile skills to build over a lifetime. Cook on and stay well.
What an aesthetically pleasing.. appetising.. fun and informative video! Such gorgeous light too! Its just so good to see you beeing spontaneous... Makes me fantasize...... about all the amazing food you will create with these good tools! Love your enthusiasm you nr. 1 kitchenessential you!!! 👍🔥🧡☺️😍😉😃😋😘🧡🔥👍
less than 5 weeks ago while in quarantine I chopped the tip of my finger clean off with my sharpest knife while chopping veg.. I'm still waiting for it to heal! Enjoyed the video once I skipped that part.. once I'm over it I'll come back to the video of you teaching how to chop safely!
I could reeeeally do with those cake molds, I haven't got any and I really want to make a traditional West African dish called "moin moin". You have to have metal cake molds to do that. Urrrrrrr. Great kitchen !
Hiya, looked up moin moin recipes and think I have eaten something similar in past but never knew the name nor what to search for, and I love me some BEP in any way, shape or form. Saw various interpretations, but given my tastes and digestion I would be opting for a less oily version, love bananna leaf stuff, but fiddly. If you are trying to steam bake, a silicon muffin mould, mine holds 6, with a silpat(Silicon pastry mat) placed on top will act like a parcel wrapped in foil or leaves. They are very inexpensive, durable and do not need to be greased nor have paper liners so save you so much money and resources in the long run. Sil pans are floppy so they must sit on a tray, I use use grill tray as it has high sides, and if you need bain marie, you put the grill rack back in tray to keep mould over the water. They are brilliant!
I love the motivational spur at the end about the cook being the most important part of the kitchen! Cooking is just so powerful! Thank you, Gaz, for your awesome videos, peppy attitude, and great recipes! I'm chugging through that cook book now!
Can you do a video on multi-purpose kitchen equipment that can be used for more than one thing. Im not sure if im explaining well. Basically im moving and noticed that I have so many kitchen appliances that I probably could have avoided buying. For instance I had both a high speed blender and a food processor. When I probably could have just stuck with a nice blender and used it as a food processor as well.
These are amazing tips Gaz! Thanks !! I was trying to figure out what kind of pans are good but I think I will go for copper pans!! And never used a wok before but I will look for this too! Thanks !!
Thanks for your advice. Love your T-shirt!! I got a nutribullet since a ninja bullet is out of my budget and so far it’s good, I do make nut butters and use it everyday for smoothies. I truly need a “spider”, I made your kickin cauliflower salad and taking the florets out of the pan was crazy... I ended up using chopsticks 🤣 not too bad, to be honest... you’re amazing and love your channel 👌
It annoys the hell out of me seeing new cooks measuring with flatware. They deserve how bad their food comes out if they can't follow simple instructions.
thank you so much! this video is just what I needed to get all the details and information ❤️ Plants only kitchen will arrive to my home soon and I'm so excited to try the recipes 💜
Hey Gaz, thank for the video! I'm just starting out and I've been wanting to buy a nice blender for ages. Is there a specific Ninja model that you would recommend? Cheers!
Wow ) amazing to know more about your tools ) thanks for that) I am also love to cook vegan food and watch every your video ) but want to know why you not use ceramic knife) it’s so good , really )
Hello Gaz, thank you so much for video. I could not wish better ending like this one - with your book. I just wanna ask you, if you have some e-book version. I am travelling a lot but I love cookbooks, but you know how the sizes of the good cookbooks are :). So e-book version would be very, very helpful. Thank you for everything!
I use my small sieve to blend miso directly into my Asian inspired soup. One tablespoon in it, drop it into the liquid and pressed it into the liquid. Yeah, no more clumps. Cheers everyone.
That was almost a kitchen tour! My husband is a mechanic and refers to my kitchen utensils as tools. It's cute but also true, some jobs simply require more tools. I wish I could have a minimalist kitchen LMAO
Hi Gaz, which food processor do you use. I'm considering buying Ninja Blender/Food processor Smart Fresh Vacuum Technology 1100W CT670UKV. Would you recommend it and what do you think about it?

5:31 - Cast Iron frying pan seasoned, and ready is very essential and versatile too from stove top to inside the oven all in the same dish.

Hi from Australia. I purchased your beautiful book yesterday, it is amazing. Thank you for all you do! XO
I love your kitchen storage, and your steamer and your relaxing voice and your face!! I'll have to go and buy your book now.
That is an excellent suggestion! I completely agree with you. Thanks Gaz 😉
We ordered your book! So excited! We LOVE Vegan 100!! ✌️
Thanks, Gaz. Your new book just arrived! Look forward to trying some new recipes and having something to guide my own food experiments.
Can you please do a kitchen cleaning video? What are the cleaning essentials you use and how do you keep the pantry bug free?
I love your kitchen! The plants give it a real vegan vibe!
Love those copper pans - what a great find! I need to be going to better markets it seems haha!
Helpful tip: rubbing gochujang(fermented korean red pepper paste) onto copper and letting it sit for a bit then rinse. It gives it it's shine back

Did I miss mention of measuring spoons? I've seen too many new cooks struggling with tsp and tbsp measure with their standard cutlery spoons.
Haven't seen Gaz use any if I remember correctly. But I agree, measuring spoons are essential, at least for me.
That's more of an American thing, I haven't seen Europeans using them
