Great job. Thanks! I played bass in a band that sprung for the “Medallions”. Horn players like keys w/sharps & flats, for some reason. Love the guitars! Thanks again for taking the time! ❤
i wanna see the bass parts, in the origional recording its not to clear, but i know theres a lot going on, i bleive the bass parts carrys most the song.
the exact Bass guitar line is really good and has as much or more to do with the music as the organ and rhythm guitar. the Bass isn't your normal simple Root notes. anyone else ever noticed this ? !!!
On the Medallions recording, there may not have been a bass guitar line. The Swingin' Medallions played live without a bass guitar. John McElrath carried the bass on the black keys on the left side of the keyboard on a Farfisa Combo Compact(?, I think).
Well, these 2 guys are very nice. BUT, a version of Double Shot was released in 1966 before the Swingin' Medallions version. It was done by the K-Otics from Tallassee, Alabama. The lead line was played on a guitar by their guitar player, Marvin Taylor. The bass was played by Ray Goss. Both those guys are still playing, in public, somewhere. The vocalist, Tommy Mann, is still singing, at home, somewhere.
Fun guys! Well done!
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Hey Joe I thought you'd like this one! Thanks!

Love the Swingin Medallions version. The 1st recording was by Dick Holler in 1963.

Great
Oh Fuck yeah boys!
it would be nice if the guy on the left would get his guitar out of the way so we could see the picking and the strumming
Sorry the guy on the left (me) is the camera operator and assumed it was ok
