went out for first time since passing Mod2 on my er6 today - bloody loved it! Nice little 50 mile country roads bimble before my wingman had to go home to go to a rugby match - then 2 hours by myself riding :D
Did my test a couple of years ago (at 68 😁) on an MT07 and loved it. Now got a Tiger 800 but if I just wanted a bike for local and weekend ride outs it would definitely be the MT.
Thats a whole lotta horsepower on that mt07. My proper bike was gonna be a CB500f but then I like a modern scrambler look. I'm looking to do my bikesafe course with the police.
Hi nick n joe i own a 2018 yam mto7 loverly bike no probs with it all time iv had it done a spain trip last year round the twisties.good on fuel aswel.👍
Did they finally, install the TC and SC ( slip-clutch ) on these ?? Or it's still ONLY ABS ?? Well, alt least the 42000km / valve check, IS 100% on these bikes.
For sure the better choice over both Kawas. And Motorwise even the 500cc Hondas. Take your time choosing i can´t drive at least 6 weeks anyways and need Entertainment and the GSX 8S is untested so far😉 Stiff Program this year. From a bruise guess in the ambulance to a clean fracture in the emergency room to a 4-part fracture in the operating room to being back in top shape after the first oil change ready for the next bike hunt 😁
The MT07 is a great looking bike, and it seems to ride well. But I still believe the key is the wrong side of the dash, and would be worried that someone else can get to it quicker than so could. Just seems an odd place to put it.
I Tried Out The MT 07 & The Z650 .. The Engine on the The MT 07 Was Better , The Kawasaki Z 650 I Found More Comfortable Especially with the Comfort Seat Gives you More Leg Room But you Can Still get your Feet On The Floor if you are Shorter I liked The Styling of The Kawasaki Better personally..Nice Green Frame But it was a Close Call Between the Zed & MT 07
naah not these generic-looking bikes...sigh! I know you guys have started enjoying the nakeds...but I'm sure there must be some nice-looking ones? Even the XSR could be excused...but that MT just looks like any other naked sports...sigh
@@NickandJodie a few that could be interesting would perhaps be the new Triumph 400s? and I would also suggest you guys try the Norton Commando (pricey I know) and why not try the Ducati scramblers...some of these are modern bikes with really cool looks! You guys have this aesthetic that really stands out and these seem down your lane! ❤ from India!

Nice one bud. It was a nice day today aswell. This year is going to be a good one !
Great series! Love it👍
Glad to hear it! More to come! Thanks for watching
I remember a hard frost one morning on 1st June. It's not proper summer at that point.
The MT07 is a great bike, and the CP2 engine is brutal and fun. That bike is perfect for commuting and being a hooligan on the weekends.
Yes, it would be a great all-rounder 👍🏻 - Jo

Well done you !
Great video has always carnt go wrong with either both fantastic bikes.
Thanks, we have a tough decision to make! - Jo

Try the scram 411. Or triumph 400
.......U sounded like, u were about to pull over and take a walk-around the road-kill 😱😱🤣🤣
😄 haha
Great video as always , i have a quastion, would you recomend mt07 restricted for begginer rider .
MT07 is perfect for beginners as well as experience riders. Why because it's so easy to ride. It's comfortable and has switchable rider modes.
I like the look of the XSR better.
You're right it does look better. I just really don't like that dash
@@NickandJodie Or the seat🤣 but always fix that.

Hi, Thanks for sharing your experiences, I can see why this bike is so popular!
Hope you're going to test the Triumph Speed 900.
We will try our best to get to triumph. Unfortunately, our local dealer is a but dry for new demo models.

Yes traction control and slipper clutch
Only ABS.

Really, Aru u sure ?
@sandwaves5642 XSR does. Mt07 no. Just ABS (it is after all a hooligan bike)

Gsx 8s is coming soon! Spoiler...It's FANTASTIC

I never thought of that. You're right it's in an odd place and vulnerable

Both great bikes for sure
The MT07 is very Yamahaesque, not a bad thing at all.
The XSRs dash is like a pimple, and I hate looking at it.
Lol. That pimple comment made me chuckle 😃 you're not wrong. It's awful to look at
Says Kawasaki on the thumbnail?
Well, spotted lol. I need to have words with the admin team. Jo! Haha
@@NickandJodiehaha no problem. 👍
Xsr is same engine as mt 07 same power
Slightly tuning differences on the fuelling that’s it
I really miss my mt07 and wish i still it, it never let me down (unlike women)😅
I won't show Jo this, lol..... get yourself another mt07
@@NickandJodie got a z900 now but its bloody heavy.
I'm trying one of these next week. Thanks for the information. I'll bare that in mind.
If you love the power of MT07 then prepare some fresh undies for the MT09.
You'll find out if I need new underwear this Wednesday. Stay tuned 😉

@romeldias aww thank you so much. The suggestion are great too
@@NickandJodie I also remember that other smaller brands -Keeway and Benelli have a presence in the UK...they could be great options too!
And the new Indian-built Husqvarna 401 Svart!
