What items should you use when creating realistic theme parks in Planet Coaster? In this episode we look into some basic items to use when creating realistic parks

Huge thanks to every single creator who's work appears here. Please accept my apologies for not calling you out one-by-one or not creating a collection instead of a park file. I have best part of 2500 (nearly 3000) TMTK items, creating a collection would take too long to create then marry into a park file to demo. Players also overwhelmingly requested a park file because they wanted to "favourite" their preferred items. This was the easiest way to do it. Just know that I'm eternally grateful for your items and you still get the credit with the download on your Steam accounts. Players, please also take the time to share some love with these creators too. Without them, we couldn't build the parks we do. :)

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that actually! Some of these can be made on console using pieces relatively easily.. :)

Those sink water fountain things can be relevant for the uk. When I went to chessington last week for my year 6 trip there were water fountains. Have no idea if they're new or not but thos prices could be used for uk parks.
This is amazing. I've never downloaded a park and don't even know how it's done. But I think I need to figure it out.

I subscribed to Raygate lake to get all the tmtk you used in it. I'm very worried how long that's gonna take to load....

Are there any important Bathroom TMTK Items you recommend? I building a realistic park right now and have no idea what to do for the bathrooms, because I cannot leave it as a gaping hole lol
I'm assuming you're talking (public) toilets and not, as we would call bathrooms? In which case, items are few and far between.. There's a sink and toilet on the workshop (probably in this park file TBF) and then Desk A and B can be used for the stall doors.. The road sign poled can be used as the framework for it.. Vending machines, pot plants, emergency exit signs, fire alarm push points and the my-curious-mind hand dryer...
Not sure if anyone else had the same problem but I tried loading the park overnight (6hrs) and it never loaded to sandbox mode. But logged into my park and it looks like there are things I hadn't downloaded before from TMTK in my list. Was hoping to load the park so I could keyword things easier. But wanted to say thanks for the video nonetheless. Whole series was awesome.
Yeah, The workshop does struggle some-times. I even had a "missing TMTK" notification on GG the other day, but everything seemed to be there.. so either it is something so insignificant it is questionable whether it should have been there to start with was removed; or Steam was just stropping as it usually does. Having a park file was a way more efficient way of doing it than a collection, but it was never a perfect solution... :)
@@Nerdchacho much appreciated, regardless it will help out a lot. Plus I'm a nerd myself so keywording will just be something I do as I go along with my most commonly used items. I just need to learn the verbiage the UK base uses like bin vs trash. But that's the US for you we are ass backwards with everything haha
@@jayhughes1141 Jay, the easiest way is what I mentioned above. Keep the workshop open as you watch the video and subscribe to each item as he describes it. I have two monitors, but you can alt-tab out to get back and forth from the video and the workshop. For fonts and collections, you can click on one item to get to it's description page and the collection is often there. Then just subscribe to everything in the collection. Once you have everything subscribed and downloaded, you can right click on an item in the TMTK and you can create a custom category and add similar items to it. Then when when you type that category name in search, those items will show up.
@@Branes51 That's what I ended up doing thanks for the advice. I have tons on my TMTK list I usually end up going through every so often and clearing out stuff I don't use especially from downloading other people's parks. Now if I can just get faster at building things hahaha
So, this episode may not be the most extensive list. But do you have any plans of making a new one that is a more extensive list (or exhaustive, if you prefer that way of saying it)?

Ah, yes. This might happen. Try opening an empty park and the items should now be there. There is a broken asset that the game tries to load last.. so while the park might not open, the items minus the broken ones should

How long does it take to load? I had none of them and it’s been about 30 minutes
Shouldn't be much longer... it depends on how fast your Internet is..
ik its a year old the video, but i tried to download today, and my game crashes from one of the items in there, it just stops loading
is this US outlet thing that makes my game freeze and does not continue to download the other stuff, Im not even half done with the download yet... very sad... maybe you can fix it

You have to go to the thememaker's toolkit section of the workshop and download each item separately, or click on a collection and download everything in it. You'll need patience. It takes time. Just go through the video section by section and download the items as he describes them. Use the search function to find them. His names are usually correct.

Hi I've subscribed to this file and have tried to open it but after more than 3 hours the TMTK content still seems not to have been downloaded, the file is still in "opening" mode. Is this normal or is something going wrong?

New to Planet Coaster and I cannot find anything that shows me how to upload TMTK into my Planet Coaster. Do you know of a video you can refer me to? HELP!
In terms of "loading them into PlanCo" - as long as you're on PC, of course - head to Steam, then to Planet Coaster.. There you should see Workshop. On the right there is a checkbox (about 2/3 of the way down) called "thememaker toolkit" - Tick that and the items for TMTK will show. Then when you find an item you want, click the plus button.. continue to do this until you're bored or out of things you want.. Then when you load the game you will find them all automatically in the Buildings or Scenery menus. Be warned though, the more TMTK you load into the game the longer the game takes to boot up, load into parks and menus. It does affect performance of your PC.

Within the building or scenery tabs you can either type in the search "thememaker" or you you can use the filter under (I think) Content Packs. This will show you JUST the TMTK items :)
@@Nerdchacho Yeah there are some things showing like the mulch and midway games I downloaded. Just cant get your like to download for some odd reason.
@@TheBumblebee481 How weird. When you load the park file that you have downloaded, does it ask you to download missing content? Remember, this is a park file that you have to load before the items will download and not a collection that you download and instantly find...
@@Nerdchacho Well stupid me had not realised it was a park file and was just looking under the normal tabs like when I downloaded the mulch haha.
That said loading park file freezes game and it doesn't load so still not working sadly
