1:39 Damn... Even being a villain, he had people who respected/loved him, and they fought for his life. And Acheron isn't a type who lies. Ifrit even knowing full-well, he had no chance of defeating her, he's still challenge a foe, that literally more powerful than him.
He said everything is fated for Annihilation. Everything even him. I guess he prefer to die to an emanator than to someone lesser
Even given his nature, he had principles he held to, up to the very end. He embraced his own death for that was how he and his kin were fated to pass from the universe from the moment of their birth and the ultimate conclusion of the Path he followed, and he was unflinching even in the face of a superior foe, driven to face her to surpass her in his devotion to his creed, or perish trying.
I still think how he was dealt with was disappointing, but this makes up for it. In the end, he was no fraud. He lived by his ideals to the last.
I’m still sad they killed off Ifrit, as I loved his design, but this scene really made him love his character. He has clear convictions and true belief in his cause. In a game with weaker players, he’d have been an awesome force to go up against.
Acheron killing off the potential final boss of the story, now back to original Penacony final boss.
After this, i respect Duke a lot more
