The reduction in the quality of cardstock more than likely corresponds to the price increases and global supply of paper. Europe has seen hundreds of paper mills close and those remaining open have seen massive increases in their energy bills (as we all have). It's a vicious circle. Consumers have less cash and companies need to reduce costs. I don't think Lo Scarabeo have succumbed to "greedflation", like energy and food companies. They have all of us over a barrel. That said, great artwork. Let's hope for better days and a return of decent cardstock 🌟
Gorgeous artwork. I like cards with lots of detail and beautiful colours so this is really appealing to me. Not so keen on the thin card stock or tuck box though, but still very tempted. Thanks Simon for the lovely walk through when you've had a long day. X💖🙏🤗
I love Lo Scarabeo’s tuck box decks because of the card stock. It’s a shame to see that it seems they’re making it worse?! Circe Tarot had the one I liked and that came out recently. I have the kit version of this deck (tuck box version doesn’t seem to be available in the US currently) and I love that the guidebook points out various symbols in the cards, and it even includes the artist’s sketches! (This is actually the main reason I got it.) The only complaint I have about it is that the art on the cards looks muted compared to the images in the guidebook and the deck in your video.
Hi Simon. You’ve probably worked it out by now, but the oracle card you didn’t know is from Angie Sullins new Tree Keepers oracle. The artist is Stephanie Law ( shadow scapes tarot ) so you can loose yourself in each beautiful, intricate image. It’s on my Christmas list and I will not be happy with Santa if I don’t get it lol.
The art is really gorgeous and I like the traditional take. As a side note, when you put the four decks together at the beginning of the video, the artwork looked panoramic.
The artwork in this deck is lovely and I like the colours used too. The new card stock from Lo Scarabeo does seem disappointingly thin, I might need to avoid unless it’s a deck I really love. You would think as they don’t have fancy packaging, just a tuck box, that they would be able to have nicer card stock. Fab walkthrough as always my friend 😍❤️
Thank you again Simon for your wonderful videos and how you look at cards. I was thinking, wouldn't it be great to see the hermits from all your decks laid out together? :) And I really like your music taste by the way. Is it harp music in this one? Cheers, Ilona
A little too feminine for my taste (which feels unbalanced to me), but I absolutely LOVE the artwork, colors and details 😍 Thank you so very much for this walkthrough 🙏
I've had it since it's release. I love this deck to pieces. Enjoy! Page of wands, it's an ancient statue that represents a call to the past and the ancient traditions that lead us forward into our new evolution as spiritual beings. (I have the kit, the book is fabulous).
You almost need a magnifying glass to see the images. The cards of Lo Scarabeo in those tuckboxes are getting smaller and smaller. They are going a bit in the direction of Fournier with their cardstock:(
This deck is still on my wish list. I love the detailed artwork! Thank you for sharing the cards here. 💌
@@RootsAndWaves I would definitely opt for the kit, much better card stock ☺️
@@the_hermits_cave Oh! Good to know. Thank you kindly. xo

Fair point. Thank you 🙏🏼
@@the_hermits_cave I think it might be another case of "shrinkflation". Same price, less card gsm 😂

You’re welcome ☺️
I love how the art is so detailed ❤
I preordered this from the Oneness Emporium last week... Can't wait to receive it now I've seen your walk though!
Hope you enjoy it! 😍

Oh wow! Thank you 🙏🏼
I love this style. Right now I am more into simply stylized decks though.
Thanks for the review on beautiful deck ...😊

Oh yes! 😍
Mine is arriving on Monday! 😊

Apparently it’s better in the kit versions!

Imagine me laying out all 800+ 😝
They are releasing on different languages. They are also re - releasing old decks on the new format without the multi language borders
Ooh I wonder if they’ll re-release Tarot of the Magical Forest! 😍
@@the_hermits_cave I'll check for you

I know what you mean ☺️
Did you ever review The Secret Sisterhood Tarot?
Love your intro, so calming 🥹
Thank you. No, I don’t have that deck 😍
Nice deck 😀👍

Good to know there is a kit 😍
The kit has only arrived in this country this morning, It was delayed in customs 🤦♀
Interesting deck!

That would make me very happy. Fouriner decks are pretty much perfect size for my taste. 😊
Ugh those thin cards😢 such a shame
I want 😂
