Hey there, fam! Charlotte Dobre back on the channel with some seriously wild stories that'll have you questioning humanity's audacity level. Buckle up, because we're diving into the world of exes who took 'audacious' to a whole new level!
We've all been there, right? You think you know someone, you invest time, love, maybe even a bit of your sanity, only for them to pull a move that leaves you staring in disbelief. Well, get ready to hear some jaw-dropping tales that'll make you wonder just what planet some people are from!
From exes who pop back into your life with the audacity to ask for favors, to those who show up uninvited to family events like they're still part of the clan, we're covering it all. And trust me, the audacity knows no bounds!
But wait, it gets even crazier! Picture this: you're happily moving on with your life, minding your own business, when out of the blue, your ex slides into your DMs with the audacity to hit you up for relationship advice. Um, excuse me? Last time I checked, that ship had sailed!
And if you thought ghosting was bad, just wait until you hear about the exes who had the audacity to ghost you, only to resurface months later with a casual "Hey, stranger" like they didn't disappear off the face of the earth without a trace. Classic move, am I right?
But fear not, fam, because with every audacious ex comes a valuable lesson in boundaries and self-respect. So grab your popcorn and get ready to cringe, laugh, and maybe shed a tear or two as we delve into the absurd world of exes with the audacity.
Alright, that's a wrap for today's video! Don't forget to hit that like button, subscribe for more juicy content, and share your own audacious ex stories in the comments below. Until next time, stay fabulous, and remember: never underestimate the audacity of an ex!

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

Personally, the guy is legally blind, can't be bothered to take proper care of his contacts OR glasses. I would just be leaving 30+ minutes earlier so that I could walk the 10-15 minutes from the parking lot to my job and have my car available. My SO would NOT be allowed to have access to my car with that type of abuse, ESPECIALLY since he can't be bothered to take proper care of his contacts or glasses. The first story is abuse. Straight up. She did not deserve being bullied and verbally and mentally abused like this. Once he raised his fist at her, she crossed into the danger zone. The chance of the abused being murdered goes up dramatically (about 80%) once they tell the abuser they are leaving. Unfortunately, I do know a few women who were killed by their abuser under these circumstances. Horrifying. People, if your partner starts setting you up so you are always at fault, leave before it escalates. No joke. Get out early. 😢

I would make our breakfast, and lunch and prepare everything while he just showered with no appreciation. When I stopped doing things for him he didn't know what was going on.

The first woman? Her "unexplainable" actions? Yeah. That's what abuse does to you. Verbal, psychological, and emotional abuse are STILL ABUSE. Don't delude yourself with, "Oh, he does it because I deserve it," "But he really needs me," "He's so stressed that he just gets frustrated and lashes out," or the worst, "He does it because he really loves me!" Ladies...besties...NOOOOOOOOOOO! Just because a man hasn't laid hands on you doesn't mean that he isn't abusing and manipulating you. Get help, get out. You don't owe him an explanation, argument, or warning. Just straight up leave. If he knows that you're leaving him, he may try to stop you. Just gather a support crew and perform a military extraction, preferably when he isn't there. Even if it's your place! (You can get him evicted afterwards) If you don't have friends and family nearby, then ask coworkers you trust, or find a local support group for abused individuals. There is help. Find it and get out. You have the strength and will get back on your feet. Change is hard, but that's what makes it worth it in the end.
We love you, and you deserve better. ❤

He can’t treat me like that anymore. I had to file a protection order, we had to go to court, and he hired an expensive lawyer.
I’m hopeful that things will be better now, but now i know i can file for another protection order if i need to (in my county the fees are waived if there is domestic abuse involved, verbal abuse and threats of violence are domestic abuse with intimate relationships)

@Just1Nora this reminds me of a 'rescue' we performed for one of my staff. She came into my office saying a colleagues upset her by calling her partner a manipulator. When she described his controlling behaviour I knew she was in trouble. So, long story short, after several long conversations, she woke up! So one of our group offered her and her cat, a roof over her head. A group of 5 of us ladies, with our cars, went round after he left for work. We knew we had only about an hour to get her out because he would go to work and then come back to 'check' on her. We didn't all have phones back then. Well, we did it, we got her and her stuff out. She went on to fulfill her dream of joining the armed forces, which he said he wasn't going to allow and she was too thick for!! I'm proud of our actions!

Doe, I'm glad that you got out! I'm so happy and proud of you! Getting out of an abusive relationship is scary and hard. I support anyone working to break free, the ones realizing what's happening, and those afraid to leave or even unaware of that abuse. Everyone deserves that support. I cheer for every person saved. ❤
And pg, good on you for your successful rescue mission! 💪🏻 Even if a person's physical body isn't in danger, you guys still saved her life as she could then move on to live the happy free life that she deserved. Hearing these stories always makes me smile. Thanks for supporting her. I know that she will never forget it.
I became isolated and couldn't have friends. My partner insisted that if I wasn't in classes at college that I HAD to be with him. I didn't even live with him yet, and while I knew that my degree program taking up 80-90% of my time was a lot, but him insisting I not have time to go back to my home, sleep in my bed, and just physically recover (chronic pain and health problems) was the last straw. Being "alone" afterwards was terrifying, but I never regret that I got out. He did do a lot good things for me, most of our relationship was good, and I will always be grateful for those things, but when things got twisted and I realized that I wasn't excited about the prospect of us getting married once we finished school; I had to get out. It was very hard at first because I had gone from the doormat of my family to the world's doormat. I knew it was time for me to stand up. I wobbled like a baby deer at first, fell down a few times, but I eventually found my feet and even stopped letting my family manipulate and abuse me.

Stop that immediately! This is where it comes from! I don't know how old your son is, but if he's older than 7 or 8, he should be getting himself up - with no warmed up clothes. Buy him an alarm clock and teach him how to use it. For a younger kid, a clock radio makes it fun. Waking up to music is a great way to start the day. You may need to double check each day for awhile that the alarm is still set and you'll need to serve as back up. If you find he's not getting up and just turning the alarm off, you'll have to move it across the room so he has to get up.
Don't raise your son to be like this horrible person. Teach him to be strong and independent and how to be a responsible adult.

I hope that young men and women who have not experienced this kind of relationship dynamic are learning to spot the red flags of abusive partners.
Charlotte is sharing vital, life-saving info here while still being funny, entertaining, and looking lovely as ever.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner, according to NCADV; the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The CDC reports that about 41% of women and 26% of men experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner and reported an intimate partner violence-related impact during their lifetime. I suspect those numbers are higher in actuality, because many won't report violence from their intimate partner, especially men who face ridicule from other men who insinuate that they are "weak".

I'm so glad he's her EX but I hope she got some therapy to see how it happened so she doesn't end up with another AH. It happens to young women who the manipulator knows he can abuse; it starts out with the little things, then escalates into you tiptoeing around his emotions until one day he hits you. The first girls story made me cry. I am sadly going through a similar thing right now. When me and my SO started with each other, there were not any signs at all. It's been almost 3 years with us now, it slowly started around the 2ñd year mark, but it became worse last summer. I think it got worse, because I called her what she is, a narcissist The emotional abuse is severe at times. The mental torture. The extremely sad thing is I have become so numb to it. But when she doesn't get that reaction out of me, she will explode sometimes.

When we would go shopping, every now and then I would get approached by an older lady saying how "nice it is seeing you helping your mom." Cheaters never think "Oh! She forgave me, I better not do it again" that's simply not the mindset. I know in your heart you wish that was how they felt but it simply isn't. Taking back a cheater is giving them the greenlight to go ahead and do it again and again.

Blindness really is a spectrum, you can be legally blind (which he is) but it can be corrected with lenses. Without his glasses, he is effectively blind. I’m legally blind without my glasses, I have a couple pairs because glasses sometimes randomly break (I had a pair just snap on my face while I was just walking back from class, literally nothing else happened. My best guess is the temperature change between the air-conditioned classroom and the outdoors lead to that). Without my glasses everything is a blur of color, I’m effectively blind. Not all blind people see complete darkness, some only see lights/ shadows, some have a very limited field of vision, etc. He’s an abusive asshole but he’s still blind when he doesn’t have his glasses.

So glad for Kristen. I had a similar situation when my ex complained about the messy house with 2 toddlers (he’s a hoarder) and I was vacuuming the bathroom crying. He kept telling me to treat the vac with respect while I’d answer back why don’t you love me. He fully extended his arm above his head for what seemed like forever. The only things saving me were the door frame and the bulky vac in front of me. I couldn’t escape and the kids were in their bedrooms. If he’d struck me, my head would have been smacked into the wall. We lived in one of the most remotest places in the world and my friends all knew him as their husbands worked with him so I couldn’t tell anyone and didn’t know if he knew any cops through cycling community. What I didn’t realise that the only difference between emotional and physical abuse is the scars are on the inside. I put up with him for 32yrs. They don’t change and there is no low. I was lucky in the end to find out some of the lies that had been there from the beginning.

    • @CrocHudson
      @CrocHudson 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

This is exactly why I DON'T think he broke them on purpose. I think he's just an idiot. I'm legally blind without corrective lenses too and there is NO WAY I would purposely break my glasses to get out of doing something - ESPECIALLY if I didn't have a spare pair. I would be unable to function the entire time until they were repaired or replaced. I think if this guy is a big enough moron to wear his contact lenses for so long he could no longer wear them, he's a big enough moron to not put his glasses on the nightstand.
Also wanted to add that I'm with you on having an old pair as a spare. I do too. To get my lenses thin enough that they aren't too heavy and don't stick out the sides too far it costs nearly £300. Just for the lenses. That's not even including the frames. (I'm sure some of you fellow blindeys 100% know exactly what I'm talking about) And my glasses are my face so I want glasses I really like. So I know that those of us who need extreme thinning for our thick-ass lenses gotta rely on that previous pair in case of emergency!

Ladies, you deserve to be treated like a queen if they don’t treat you like a queen don’t stay with them I don’t understand why you have to live with somebody. It’s so nice to have your own place. I love it.

I was wondering what happened as well. Maybe she got tired of hearing him say that she was too pretty for him all the time or something (or maybe he kept making comments about other guys looking at her). I mean it would become grating to hear it repeatedly especially from someone you care about.

Word of advice to glasses wearers from someone with high astigmatism: GET MULTIPLE PAIRS IF YOU CAN, if not, KEEP YOUR OLD ONES as most of the time they are better than none! Glasses unfortunately break so easily so it’s good to always have a backup!
Yes you can fix most issues on the glasses easily with a mini screw driver, bending the frames, or pushing the lenses back in, but sometimes you’re in a rush and it’s helpful to have a second pair.

When I get a new prescription I buy two pairs of glasses. I also keep the best pair of my old glasses just in case.

Zenni and Zeelool are cost effective ways to get extra pairs of glasses. When I get my new script for glasses, I go to them and get back up pairs.

It's not so simple, not everyone can afford that kind of expense. The lenses of people who see practically nothing without glasses are already costly and if you apply a "reduction", so as not to appear to have bottle bottoms as lenses, the price increases even more. Not to mention the anti-reflective, anti-scratch treatments and the cost of the glasses frame itself which aren't exactly cheap. Furthermore, in the case your diopters continue to drop annually, getting more than one pair of glasses a year is quite useless (since you'll have to change it soon) and very expensive.

The first story reminds me so much of my past relationship. I can assure you he did not break the glasses on purpose because that would require forethought that type isn't capable of. That situation would have absolutely gotten worse I'm glad she got out.

The moment I hear anyone say their relationship of any kind is "on and off" I immidiately groan. That's just a less harsh way of saying that y'all "can't get your shit together and either work to better things or end it for good" and there's no way in hell it's a solid or healthy relationship.
