*HEY GUYS!!! We've got a new feature film out and it's our best yet! Check out "BIG LAND"* th-cam.com/video/2iFlDYWmj8E/w-d-xo.html *And if you'd like to support us by buying an add free version, you can do so here:* vimeo.com/ondemand/bigland
*Hey y'all! Its been a while since we've uploaded here. Rest assured, it's because we've been hard at work completing our latest feature, "Big Land". It's gunna blow everything else we've done out of the water, but will require a little patience before it's released. For now, we figured it was time we finished up this long lost conclusion to our "Notes From The Road" series from 2017. It was a lot of fun doing this type of stripped down visual diary. Let us know in the comments what you think and if you'd like to see more like it going forward!*
A couple months! It won't go straight to TH-cam, unfortunately though. We ended up in significant dept on that project, despite the successful funding campaign. We'll be selling the film for a super affordable price in the beginning to try and recoup some cash. We'll post trailers with info on here, and it'll eventually make its way here for free if you can be patient enough. Otherwise we'll direct you to where you can snag it sooner!
@@jonathanpounds2953 thank you! We always get super stressed thinking about selling our work. The demand for free content is so high. Anyway, follow along, this is our biggest undertaking yet and we'll be spamming everyone once its released. There'll be no way to miss it ;)
Y’all produce hands down the best fishing content and content overall for that matter. Really hope you guys put more of your work out there. I know funding, time, resources, etc can be a struggle, but honestly if you aren’t doing it for us (your fans), do it for y’all to look back on. Peace and love
Thanks, Justin! No better time than now! Maybe don't quit your job all at once, but I bet you could start making plans for your future that will involve more time doing what you love, and less time working at a job you wish you could quit ;) Good luck out there!
It has indeed been quite a while since your last film, and thank you for your excellent work in capturing both the splendour of nature and the glamour of the itinerant fly fisherman. I hope your transport situation is resolved before this forthcoming season, and look forward to your next posting.
Thanks, Havard! Tell all your friends about us and help us grow our following :). I don't know that we're underrated so much as we are just bad TH-camrs. We upload slowly and sporadically, but it's just the way we work. It's a slow burn, but starting to get more eyeballs on our stuff. Every little bit helps!
Your sound design is incredible among other things. You guys set the bar so high for fly fishing videos idk if ill ever reach your level but I love watching you guys work!
Aw thanks dude. We put a lot of time into the sound design. It's all just attention to detail and repetition. I have a degree from film school and have been making films for 20 years. You see all the accumulated knowledge in every film we make. Theres no secret other than time spent. Everything you make your learning one or two new things. Just go back and watch an old video you made and I'm sure you'll be able to spot the progress. You'll get there for sure.
You both should be very pleased with yourselves! The quality of your work is simply outstanding. I had to cancel my Yellowstone trip this year due to COVID. Your film makes me feel that I'm already there.
I've missed your videos, it made my morning cup of coffee that much better before I head into my corporate American job... Wish I was drinking coffee in any of these places. Maybe one day.
Thanks! All you gotta do is start planning your next trip today. Next thing you know it you'll be there. We may be super broke (and are lucky enough to be in a position to survive that way) but we wouldn't trade our scrape-by lifestyle in the outdoors for anything. It's not for everyone, but I think we all find excuses to spend less time doing what we love. I've got a feeling you'll be enjoying that coffee in one of those places sooner than you think ;)
Thank you so much for making these beautiful videos. These are just great, your editing is top notch. You can't imagine how much joy they've given me during this difficult time of COVID-19. I've always dreamed of doing what you've done. Seeing it through your lenses has given me that opportunity, even if it is from my living room. Thank you.
Wow!! My mind is blown! Such awesome cinematography. You really know how to bring us in. Thank you for the hard work and amazing edit. Helping cure my winter Jones. Cheers and happy new year
Thanks Joe! We've got plenty more on here. And if youre looking to support us by watching our latest feature, you can check that out here: vimeo.com/ondemand/bigland
Taking my second trip back to Yellowstone in many years this time taking my wife..Hoping to fish Slough Creek and Soda Butte or maybe someplace else you might recommend ...going in mid July
Hey this was really good! Your video was inspiring really. I like how you guys don’t talk a whole lot. And your sound design… LOVE your sound design also you tittles! Lol mew subscriber here! Tight lines from Calgary Alberta 🤘
Ha! Thanks! I think you'll find that a lot of our other videos, do, actually, have a lot of talking. But I'm personally quite fond of the audio visual diary format we took with this piece. Hopefully we'll do some more like it in the future! And don't get me wrong, I think you'll like the stuff that has narration in it too, but its definitely different from this.
Love the films by tightloops!!! Might be time to contact urabus in Buena Vista, CO to subie swap bullwinkle. Fish the Arkansas while they swap everything over.
Thanks! Us too. We wanted it to feel like a visual meditation or something. It's weird how so many fishing films, which take place in the slow beauty of nature are so fast paced. Doesn't always seem to fit...

@@TightLoops That's like two species. Rainbows, brown, and lake trout are harvestable. Apparently you even have to kill any lake trout you catch. I'm not hating, just made me sad to see you eating out of a bag.
Devilock79 Yeah I understand what you’re saying, but this was all in the northeast corner of the park, which is a pure native Yellowstone cutthroat fishery, and you can see in the film that’s all we caught. You also aren’t aloud to kill rainbows, browns brookies or lakers in the majority of the parks waters, they are also strict catch and release. The only place you’re allowed to harvest those fish is in the native trout conservation area, which is essentially Yellowstone lake, and the northeast corner Yellowstone tribs. In fact it’s required by law that you kill all non natives in the Lamar and its tributaries, even hybrid cuttbows. We’ve had to kill a number of them, and it’s always dicey making the call as to whether a cutthroat has any rainbow DNA in it. Used to be you had to release anything with a slash, but a few years back they changed it to be only pure cutthroat.
@@Devilock79 all the super famous rivers (firehole, madison, gibbon< etc) you have to let everything go. They consider the population of wild trout there a major part of the parks heritage, and too naturalized to consider trying to eradicate them.
Thanks, Pat! I was about to respond in essentially the same way, but you said it better anyway. This "great footage" was brought to you by people with tattoos. Go figure.

Stunning film!! Thanks for sharing it. All the best.
It was better picking up that moose drool than drinking it back here in New England. Id go buy it again though!
Ha! Yeah, can't say its the finest brew out there, but we love it, because drinking it means we're were we love to be.

👍 😉 BELLISSIMO
Can I pm you and ask you some questions about where you fished and the license process?
love this! Everything is so dang clean and well put together. What was it filmed on?
