The New Terminal One and Terminal 6 are being built from scratch now. Terminal 8 received new joint BA/AA lounges and check-in areas. The renovation of concessions is in progress…
LGA is the airport that’s received all the accolades for its renovation. It’s essentially complete.
Most of the construction work right now is focused on terminals 1 and 5, while you flew into terminal 1. It may get some expansion down the line but not much as its already a decent terminal

How come when you pick up baggage there's no security to go through?
