The pigments are mixed with Jo Sonja’s polyurethane gloss varnish 1 part and un-tinted paint/enamel (base C paint) 3 parts.
It helps to add a pea size acrylic gloss gel, the cells will hold better.
The last color on top is a cell activator, 1 part Amsterdam black with 2 to 3 parts Australian floetrol or 3 to 4 part’s Owatrol Aussie/Trol.

Thank you thank you thank you! I love the fact that there’s no wasted time and giggling and a whole lot of chatter on your videos. I hate having to fast forward through someone dropping items or talking about vacations and what not. That’s all fine and dandy on one or two videos but when every video that Wen puts out as 20 minutes out of the 60 minutes and just cheddar chatter becomes redundant. So I think you. However as much as I try, I can’t seem to find your recipe for your black activator…? Is that something that you mix up? Is that something that you buy and use it “as is“? I tried pausing it… I tried pausing it several times… And I am new to this whole “TH-cam“ thing. And even newer to this acrylic poor idea. But being an artist, and makes medium artist, I’m really excited to try this. I really like the black laces cells. Reminds me of a monarch butterfly, or any butterfly for that matter. So how do I do that? How do I get the activator to activate? And where do I buy “activator“ stuff
