Man Fishing Alone in Small Boat: Choppy Sea Fishing Trip

- Man goes sea fishing alone in his small yellow boat. Graeme recalls one of his more enjoyable trips alone in the boat "Hi Sea Drifter", but he starts by getting pitched around in some choppy seas. He is torn between a decision to move marks or stay put, but his hunch to stay later when all the other boats have headed home finally pays off. He uses a variety of tackle and his primary target is the Plaice which he hopes to catch using plastic picnic spoons as attractors. Sit back and enjoy (but take your seasick pills for the start!).

Man not alone on a boat, Graeme you had some guests wanting to borrow some sugar and you did not oblige them no wonder they P**** off. Then I have always blamed the large foreign factory ships for the poor fishing off the South Coast, only to find out that your the culprit catching all the fish! If that Scad hadn't pricked you, judging by your reaction it would of gone back, well it did in a way with your hook in it. Joking aside absolutely top notch filming and commentary, thanks for posting and keeping us entertained.

Honestly Graham this is the best thing on telly. 'Bloody el, Mabel, thes fish comin't through flooerboords now!' Keep it up, chum, this is the feelgood factor we all need. Your padlock weights and promotion of cheap old tackle is priceless in a world of constant BS promotions. Bravo!
It has been 40 years since I last went sea fishing. I loved those afternoons catching garfish off Newhaven East pier on my 10' freshwater ledger rod and 6lb line. Those mini-marlins leaping out of the water. The Pollock would put up a hell of a fight too! Halcyon days.
What I like Graeme, is that you do not follow the ' what we are supposed to do' nonsense! The fish don't give a Xxxx about the tackle we are using. They only care about what is on the hook ☺️🤣
Padlocks,shed bolts,whatever,they all just anchor a bait on the bottom.Certainly lead weights are better but I just like being different sometimes.

What I like Graeme, is that you just get on with it. You work out what is going on, then fish in the appropriate manner. Too many people follow the 'this is what you should do'. They should listen to Mabel, she knows how it really works! Okay Mabel, I've mentioned you, isn't that enough? What do you mean you love Graeme? I think Mrs P might have something to say about that!! Are we really coming to the end of Covid? It would be great to get back to fishing as we know it. 👍☺️

Hi Graeme, went on a charter today in the Bristol Channel for my first time boat fishing. Had 7 dogfish! Don’t think many anglers would be happy with that but it’s a new species for me. Hope you’re well.
Its all a start...wait till you hook up a big Blonde ray in a strong tide,they get some big ones down there.
Fished Holyhead port this evening, forecast gave virtually no wind!! .... Well that was wrong!! Managed a juvenile Conger (barely out of nappies) the only success was about 2lb of fresh prawn in my prawn net over 6 hours!!
Nevermind, they're in the freezer for some winter shore fishing. Didn't lose my bait elastic either!!

Here in Australia when I go out in the boat, I take some frozen 600ml custard, I leave it hang over the side of the boat and I am so amazed by the amount of different fish that it attracts.
