Really great diverse content in this week’s show, I hadn’t thought about that square of mesh on outside of the kitchen wall in my parents house when I was a kid, for years, when you know what a larder is you know your getting old 😂
Hi Graham, one of my best remembered things was going to the local corner shop to get 3 pence of butter from the tub, the shop owner would get some butter from the tub and pat it with 2 paddles into shape, he never had to add or take off any butter, he then wrapped it in greaseproof paper and you took it home. I do not know what make it was, but the taste was out of this world.
Big thanks for sharing as always Sir. I learnt many tips regarding my quiver tip fishing, especially avoiding line tangle over the tip prior to casting which is something I can now improve on. Love the wild Cam stuff and the old Machinery at the end. Massive thanks again Sir :)
When I cast a heavier feeder I tend to roll the rod blank so it is almost like side casting and then straighten before it finishes. Seems to avoid the tip ring wrap you sometimes get and it snatches short.I think its also when you have had a few bigger fish pulling drag and it puts a twist in the line.I tend to pull all the coils off the first 30 feet of the reel to get rid of line twist.
Greetings and salutations from Victor Harbor South Australia, i always enjoy your videos and random content. Keep up the entertainment mate. 2 thumbs up!
Hello Graeme, nice to see you, I know were you are, he he, oh mate this rain rain rain, rivers in flood again, so some pond fun tomorrow, got to get my rod out, just invested two Sonik rods 1.3/4 test curve, so oh dear more gear, anyway I need them for my blank session he he, all the best to you and your family.
Good luck with your trip tomorrow. I was hoping to hit a river for a few hours tomorrow relaxing Perch hunting after a hectic week, but no chance. The Perch are more likely to be swimming up a flooded lane somewhere. When will the rain ever stop. I don't think I have know such a wet winter...be interesting to hear the weather experts stats on cloud and rainfall for the last 2 months.
Nice picture of a song thrush never see them up here in Scotland anymore, beautiful bird and I really miss it's song, we mostly just have Blackbirds now, wonder what happened to the song thrushes and the field fairese hope they return in numbers one day.
Thanks for the I.D. I put a film up a few weeks ago on birds and someone did say the Thrush is a bit of a rare species nowadays. I thought it might be a Thrush ,though I did get some clips of Redwings on the trailcams. They trip it all the time as they stay in one area flicking leaves over looking for food items.
Those things are riduculous, once you start one,you can put the lid back on but within 10 seconds the lid is off and you are dipping in again. I reckon I need to go to rehab and do some cold Turkey on the Sour cream and Onion...And don't even get me started on chocolate Digestives ...! ... How I keep my cage-fighting physique is beyond me....
Thank you for yet another great upload truly enjoy your fishing show...to funny when the Jets annoyed you 😂..id would have said the same thing..... watching from northern Wisconsin i never miss a upload thank you truly is totally awesome fishing
Hi there Wisconsin, thanks for watching,I am trying to tag on some different topics at the end of each film to give viewers something different to see that might not be available elsewhere.
I truly appreciate the extra content u make with the older trackers trains stream engines ext...that pretty cool to see all those things as well not to mention the stuff with ur son too on his channel...thank you yet again for such great content I'll be waiting for the next upload I do rather enjoy watching them...
Great video G , some lovely carp in that session, jets didn’t bother them as much as it seem to you 😂. enjoyed the random section again mate , appreciate your efforts 👍🏼
Got some more Randoms to come. As long as a few viewers enjoy the watch that's enough for me..I'm done with chasing Algorithms now,I am just going to film whatever I want regardless.
Hi I am a great fan .been watching you since day one . I would love you to visit Charlies Lake in Ashford. They have lots of cat fish .my biggest was 40lb .and know they have bigger and lots of carp At a good size .you will not be disappointed. I would recommend an over nighter . As the cat fish kick off at 11-3am and some in the day . I use a 22mm halibut, pellet does the trick. boilies for the carp all on the main lake .
I'm impressed how you manage to deal with two rods having a fish hooked at the same time. Respect ! Would you mind telling what fishery was that at ? I don't think I've heard a place being mentioned at the start of the video. That lake looks pretty good, wouldn't mind trying it out myself.
Hi Graeme, I can remember the old fridge , can you remember the old slab of marble that stood underneath it , it was used as a cold slab to keep meat , game and dairy products freash ?
I don't remember the marble ,but my holidays with Grandparents are memorable. I haven't a clue what I did 12 hours ago but I have a vivid picture of staying with them in the mid 1950's...Great times compared to now..seems we all have everything today, but nothing,if that makes sense.....more film of old stuff to come..Doing another right now.
Hi Graeme. Is that Bury Hills fishery again? I used to be a member there but have not fished it for 3 or 4 years now. Looks as lovely and as I remember it.
So much into a one-hour show, it's a real delight to wander down memory lane.
A life well lived and long may you continue Graeme 👍🏻🎣
I wish you was my dad. I'm so jealous of Mike
11:35 did Graeme just swear??? I’ve never heard him swear in all the time I’ve watched him!! 😂😂
he usually bleeps it pretty well
Secret hardest man in fishing 😂
Yeh what type of plane was that? 😂😂😂
Think he fogot to edit it out.😅
I had to rewind to make sure. Don’t think I’ve heard an F-bomb from G before 😂
The double hook up was a master in control, absolutely brilliant.
Really good video's that you put on your pages Graham, keep up the great content
You should put some traps to catch some pheasant they are delicious...In my village we had a pheasant farm..i did eat plenty of them..
I never use 2 rods, I would be in such a mess if I hooked 2 at once, but well done Graeme
It's just dawned on me, Graeme is also handling the cameras, The mind boggles to think what a mess I would make of it.
I am 55 and i can remember those wire mesh larders in some of the old houses
Thanks Graeme, from Alaska
That was a good offer Graeme, catch one get one free, needed this with all that is happening in the world.
Pleased the films help a bit with some sort of distraction...the World has gone completely crackers as far as I can make out....

All a bit of fun,and an enjoyable time filming the old country stuff.

I remember the wooden butter pats,I seem to remember they were ridged on one of the flat surfaces.

No problems, more all-round films to come.
The way the world is going we might need to go back to living like that. It won't take much.
Little dog looks well keen. Keep him away from badgers sett.Good old school fishing session with tackle to match 😈
Yes,you are right,he would be on a one way ticket down a Badger sett....Jack Russells just don't realise not everything down a hole is a Rat !...
