    What I love about the Japanese car culture is that they appreciate all cars from a Prius to a Ferrari.
    Where i live in America and all people do is talk shit and buy the same cars here

    • @mrsantosjon
      @mrsantosjon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I live in america and its usually those muscle car lifted truck douchebags, that's why japan when I stayed in TOKOROZAWA-city for a month I never wanted to go back lol. The car culture in Tokyo is mixed and everyone never talked shit to each other.

    • @ThornEternal
      @ThornEternal 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So true. I live in Cali where the JDM community is a lot bigger, but a lot of them still have the shit talking engrained in them.
      I praise anyone’s car there was a guy with a 2001 Honda Civic that had 40k miles on it, and I looked at it longer, and talked to the owner longer than I have with a R35 guy that has the same mileage on a 2016 model with all the power.
      It’s not about the car itself as much as it is about the love, and care the owner holds for the vehicle.

    • @zhain0
      @zhain0 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The UK car culture is horrible as well, unless it's a liberty walk r35 or a super car etc it's 'rice'.... Even had a group of ppl call my r32 gtr rice.... Like wtf I even took off the standard wing for a small lip one.

    Coolest vlog ever, the overpasses over Daikoku remind me of flicking through all the tuner mags i read as a kid and watching Bansai runs through the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line. I totally agree with you about the whole speed thing, modern cars have become so fast that these days the least important metric of a car is its 0-60 time but more its 0-smile time. Subscribed.

    Czero! I'm 16 and I just bought my first car. I bought a 1998 Mitsubishi lancer gsr. So it's 4wd and turbo I'm liking it so far. The exterior is a bit rough but the engine and gearbox is all good and shifts well. In New Zealand the insurance company's hate young drivers having turbo cars so I got rejected by two insurance company's but finally found one that wasn't to bad of a price. I commented on your videos a while ago saying that my dream car is a Datsun 240z and I'm still working towards that. I hope one day to meet you and chat about both of your passions. If you could reply it would make my week:)))) love the videos. By far my favorite TH-camr

    Great Vlog! So many awesome cars. I wish we had a variety like this in the States. I live in Portland Oregon, and every Sunday, Mainly in the Spring/Summer we have a Meet called "Red Door" & each week theres at least 100-200 Cars & Bikes there. Its a cross between a Meet and a Cruise. Its in a Warehouse district and stretches out about a 10 block strip with cars parked on each side while others drive back n forth each direction, and this goes on from about 6pm to 9pm depending on the time of year.
    If you are ever in the Portland area, or just the North West in general, you would definitely like the Red Door Meet! Hit me up, Ill be your tour Guide! You'll feel right at home in my Tarmac Black 05 Evo 8 SSL! haha

  • @NotSoCrazyNinja
    @NotSoCrazyNinja 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I consider myself a "car guy", but my interest in vehicles is a little outside of the norm for where I live. I like small cars with small engines that are also fun to drive. Kei cars are great, but hard to get where I live. In my country, everyone wants big cars with big engines and the government wants emission and safety standards that cause a lot of complexity in cars. My current car is probably the most basic and smallest "domestic" car available since 2000. I can literally reach every window handle and door handle (manual windows) from the driver seat. I like it a lot. Close to 100hp with a weight under 2000 pounds, it has some pep in its step. I could turbo it for some more but it would need an engine and transmission rebuild before I attempt something like that. Too many miles on it without a rebuild. Another thing I don't like about it is the transmission is an automatic. Seems Americans love automatic transmissions which makes it a pain to find manual transmission cars. My next car will probably be a Kei import of some sort. I will probably tune it to get more power out of it and have some fun with it.
