Love it. Easy to expand with a bunker on the front area by expanding a few triangles off the airlock, either an offset bunker, or a roof bunker utilizing a twig triangle frame. GREAT Starter!!!
@@cinnamonmichael You misunderstand. The intention is to pick up the workbench with your hammer as you always do, but because of the triangle shelf, there wont be room to place your work bench back down. That's why you need to remove the shelf first.
Awesome! I build something similar that I made from watching a few videos! I build one more triangle near where the tc was placed. I put a half wall and then a window. Then I place a workbench in front of the window. There’s only one spot next to the workbench where you can access it. If you place a tuna can and small box it makes it more difficult. Also you can place a bag in front of the locker and small box. There’s oneeeeee spot LOVE THE SECOND SHELF IN THE TC ROOM! 😊
When you have triangle flooring with loot under, you can actually place a rug to cover the gaps and still be able to access your boxes below, you just have to remember where to look at to access each box, this just makes it so you don't get stuck under the triangle floor pieces or need to jump around to get around inside the base, plus it makes it easier concealing you have other loot boxes in your base if you place the rugs in such a way that hides them.
My buddy showed me a trick with the tire 3 for extra storage. Shift it as far as possible to one side. Move the small box as far as possible to one side. Rotate the tier 3 and you should have enough space on the other side for another small box, rotate it back to make it look nice and it fits two small boxes under it.
You can jump to the upper shelf if you simply take the double door off for a minute or two, you don't need the garage door. Also, make sure to place the double doors facing out to interlock with the 2nd airlock door for extra 2x1 security lol.
At 3:50, if you put a triangle roof in the TC room with the wide base against the door, then remove the door. If you then turn around towards the square loot room and hold S or D so you have your shoulder against the wall, you should be able to put the box down (with short side gainst you) in the corner furthest away. This makes it 100% each time. It works on an even level floor at least where you can just push it away from you in to the corner. It's a lot easier without a door or door frame since you can just stand next to the wall and push it straight in to the corner(still the short side towards you). Then you can pop in the others with ease when the first one is in place.
If you find placing the 4 large boxes in a square a little difficult, place a camp fire in the middle. It gives you some guidance on placing the boxes and makes it way easier.
If i build this base, i would also use a double stairs bunker (at it can seal itself when raided). Not to mention a raider full or rockets could fall down and get killed by shotgun trap :D You should always have at least 1 honeycomb extra minimum to protect tc. 9x square + honeycomb + halfwall roof + extra rooms on top if bare minimum this days to survive some decent raiders.
I'd probably add a version of the offset bunker myself as you could build it out pretty nicely from the triangle, but there's definitely a lot of good options
You can fit 2 small boxes under a tier 3. You place one all the way to the right then rotate the workbench and place one’s all the way to the left, then you rotate it back
Close to my design, I’ve managed to get t3, repair bench, 1 mixing table and 5 furnaces in mine, and loads of storage if you’d like to do a review on it
Regarding what you mentioned about upgrading the doorframe to metal would be a waste. The stone doorframe is visible from the outside unless you also have honeycomb while a metal frame is not. Keeping it stone lets raiders know there are additional doors.
Nice..I’ve been building my bases like this on Console for a while now…if I have a teammate with me, I’ll build honeycomb with half walls and put lockers in them for more storage without taking up walking space
What everybody should think about is that a 1.5 floor base uses the same amount of building and upkeep resources as a 2 floor base. I really wish Facepunch would change this because half walls are obviously smaller so should cost less but they are exactly the same cost as a full wall. So for the same cost of this base, you could just build a larger base with more doors for raiders to have to go through. The critical flaw with this sort of base design in my opinion is cramming as much storage into a 'room' as possible, as that means that for every door a raider goes through it will give access to more loot than normal. Whereas if you have 2 separate loot rooms, that's more loot storage overall and more doors for raiders to go through.
I do know that I wasn't able to place a bag under a shelf already up, but was able to do bag first then shelf a few weeks ago. Not sure when it slipped in.
@@Reksmore I think you gotta place bag first, still can't place it under an existing shelf last I tried. I tried under an empty triangle shelf this last week and it was a no go everywhere. I can only do it placing the bag first then the triangle shelf.

I don't like this base at all. There are much better options regarding accessabilty and protection while still beeing lower cost. The reason is the excess use of half walls which have the same costs as full walls. The only thing this base offers is a low optical illusion.
Lol I feel like this is just a worse 2x2, it's the practically the same cost to build and maintain but less room for loot/tables/bags/walking around. This would be a good noob base
@@0NicoLoco0 you could still honeycomb but it'll cost the same as a 2x2 or a 2 story 1x2 because you'd have to use half walls which cost the same as a full wall so all this base is doing is craming less stuff into a smaller space, also raiders are smart enough to look and see you're low foundations and half walls instead of high foundations so it's not even hiding what you have
terrible reasoning and logic for the furnace part. it got nothing whatsoever to do with the actual way to situate ones furnaces but ALL about where you make that triangel and place the items. if a person is dumb enough to place furnaces at his or her entrance door, well good luck then ....

You can fit 2 small boxes under a tier 3. You place one all the way to the right then rotate the workbench and place one’s all the way to the left, then you rotate it back
rust consle moment
Not on pc you can't
You can place 2 small boxes under t3. Put it facing away from you> set 1st box> rotate> set 2nd box
Not anymore unfortunately
T3 hammer rotation removed several months ago because developers didn't appreciate double box placement.
