Schneider Electric Motion Explains New Closed-Loop Stepper Drive and Linear Actuator at Pack Expo

• The Absolute MDrive includes a 4,000 counts/rev multiturn absolute encoder that eliminates the need for axes to go through homing sequences. Also included in the integrated design is a 1.8° two-phase stepper motor and control electronics … with complete linear actuators available from the manufacturer. IP65 ratings mean protection against dust and moisture.
• Lexium MDrive electric cylinders - also called LMD linear actuators - are available in two frame sizes (NEMA 17 and NEMA 23) to deliver to 180 lb and 30 in. per sec. They’re meant to deliver precise positioning over the entire stroke and outperform comparable pneumatic actuators
