As an arsenal fan I am really hoping we can keep up this standard, although the Tottenham conti cup game left a lot to be desired - our defence was shocking. We also desperately need a new RB, Katie plays well in the position (because she’s Katie McCabe), but I find that Maritz doesn’t offer much offensively or defensively. I also find it strange that Jonas continually plays Lacasse as a RW, coming in or going out in place of Beth Mead, considering she was a goal scoring machine at Benfica as a LW. I don’t think we’re getting her full potential by playing here there. I’ll be intrigued to see how we line up for Tottenham!

I agree with your Lacasse point, but I'm guessing Eidevall is still cautious about Mead's fitness and maybe doesn't want her to play 90 minutes if she doesn't have to, and Foord is so dangerous on the left that the only spot left for Lacasse is the right side

Very good analysis except for one thing though: You are leaving out the fact that Arsenal this year is the superior team in the WSL. The level of natural talent at Arsenal is only second to Barcelona.
this is such a good vid! was really good to see someone unpack what’s going on with the team selection and dynamics rather than the usual “james and kerr aren’t scoring” spiel. granted, they both had a pretty average game (kerr’s passing accuracy left a lot to be desired in the first half) but you certainly don’t concede 4 goals off the back of a poor performance from your forwards.

Watched both this video and Lionesses Vs Netherlands analysis video and wow both excellent analysis’s. The time that wouldve gone into creating both videos must’ve been a LOT. Perfect review completely showed both Chelsea’s breakdown in midfield and the Netherlands issues in tactical and substitute changes. Hopefully more videos coming soon!! 🙏❤️
