The 1980s and 1990s saw a revolutionary change in Indian old Motorcycle segment. Indian companies like Bajaj and Hero collaboarted with Japanese companies like Kawasaki and Honda and gave us iconic motorbikes like Bajaj Pulsar, Karizma, KB Caliber, KB 100 RTZ and so on. The Old Doordarshan MotorCycle TV Ads played an important role through creative Indian commercials to take their marketing to the masses. The most interesting thing is as a 90s kid I watched all this ad on TV and never thought of a bike. now after more than 22 years I am watching them again as now I ride bike.

When Karizma came out in around 2003, it was desired by many but owned by few and when Bajaj launched Pulsar 180, Fear the Black edition in 2006...it was owned by many in its many variants even till now.
During the earlier days the collaborations was like

Escorts-Yamaha
The real legend between all these motorcycles was Bajaj Chetak...Ultra legendary

Yeah I remember hoodibaba bike ad , it was the first bajaj bike with DTSI engine I think and it was advertised in 1999 ICC World Cup if my memory is correct.
