I remember this alto advertisement it first aired in may-june 2005
While listening to alto Jingle, I feel either they have copied the tune from kannada song Nodiya kwote lingave (Duniya) which was released during the same time or kannada movie might have copied from this tune.

These car commercials mostly come in cricket matches I remember.

Mahadevan advertising a Cielo but the car featured in the ad is an Opel Astra
Daewoo had the licence to manufacture Opel cars. They were selling it under the name Cielo in India. The car in the advertisement is probably initial one with Opel badging.

r madhavan daewoo cielo advertisement has opel logo and opel astra car as the alpha/transparent layer... Anyone knows why is that? I know a few daewoo cars were based off opel ones, but they used daewoo logo only.
from what I have read, the Cielo was based on a car called Opel Kadett E. Maybe the initially produced cars had the Opel logo which they later changed to Daewoo logo.

Back when cars used to focus on Engine specs. Unlike the reviews these days.. which focuses on number of bottles you can carry, wireless charging facility, space under driver armrest and things which are far from engine specs and build quality.

This car was Launched in 1998 in India. People were used to buying Maruti 800 as their first Car. Santro had a 999cc Engine, which was definitely an upgrade from 800cc. Still won't call a 999cc engine a powerful engine.
Having power more than 800 doesn't mean most powerful and power is not measured by cc it's measured by hp
