The regulations for OTR trucks are changing so fast, Expect to see more leaving that state. It is probably cheaper to replace the whole thing that make them compliant.
Steve you scared the holy hell out of that traffic cone the cone saw your trailer and was thinking 🤔 he's getting a little close...getting closer (starts to sweat) sees you getting even closer then all of a sudden he screams out SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT HE'S GONNA HIT ME!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!IM DONE FOR )tell my wife who's a yeild sign that I love her) then your tires just kissed it and the cone fell over from shear fright..lol
Run as much as you can, keep Orwell safe and serviceable and legal, bank what you can, take whatever mental health days you need, and then work on your other projects as time and money allow.
Steve you are not in a runt, this is life. You have your plans and stay the course. Trucking is not a easy way of life, but I have had a lot of fun with my career. Stay safe
Word of advise withhauli g volvos backwards.from 20 years of towing experience, wrap electrical tape around the mirrors. Those plastic backs like to fly rite off.
I have brought wreckers and dump trucks and even semi's from auctions. And I will either keep them for driver's or turn around and sell them for more $$$$$. Jessie was like why buy a none running semi. I said it must have been really cheap. Our service driver's who service vehicles and semi's and buses will do that take the tops off the semi's. Install new bearings on a Volvo is $$$$$$ that's our policy also can't work after dark loading up heavy equipment or anything on a trailer. So our employees don't get hit or injured. At 46:00 my wife was like oh hell I bet u (Me) would buy that black and white KW and I said bleep ya I would. About 85 of our semi's are KW's the rest are Peterbilts. We do test new Volvos and they are ok but not for really really heavy load's.
Seems like a well run yard. Drive around till ya see it ! Put ya drone up ! $100 ! he was dreaming. Service truck and a mechanic ! @hr minimum at 200 per plus TT back to portal.
Tip for pulling trucks with air fairings backwards: just throw a pair of light duty hardware store ratchet straps straight across between the fairings. It'll keep them from ballooning out or ripping off.
That Volvo is wild. Leaking everything from everywhere, axle's so wrecked one of the tow drivers left his chains on it, and the main bearings are gone.
C & C Equipment got burnt on a SANDY it was covered with a warranty (They thought) when going through an Auction the warranty is void Sandy company policy. FYI.
If it’s a 2014 non-runner it either has been severely abused and not had the scheduled maintenance done or the DEF/DPF system on it has completely gone to crap
2014 non-runner at an auction to me sounds like it's going to be hella $$$ to fix up, grenaded engine or something like that. Guess I was on the right track. With a title like this though I was expecting something approaching the busted/rusted/crusted dump trailer you did a little while back. That loaded oddly smooth, just took a while to find and tear down. I know when I go do mobile welding I'm charging $150/hr including travel, can't imagine the mobile mechanic would charge less, and can't imagine anyone would think it would be cheap.
Hey, Steve, if you put the chain between the dooly, you'll be below the suspension, can't go anywhere. Just watch for the valve stem, then your good to go! Happy trails!
I have run a old cozad before , Same set up what you are doing there Steve , If you fk up your fk up , all will not be good , That truck is not even worth the money they are paying you to move it. and the guys taking the top off 😂😂 Let alone selling it for a boat anchor
My sister has an 1972 superior coach RV she’s wanting gone from her property. You have the equipment she would be willing to make a deal like Free, she just wants it gone off property. Only thing is it’s in Texas.
I've hauled a bunch of those identical white Volvo day cab tractors. The ones I have hauled were sold for scrap so the buyer didn't care about being nice when removing the air dam. I would just crawl up there with a Sawzall and cut the fiberglass. Once I had a complete cut, I would push the air dam off the top of the cab and let it land across the back of the frame rails.... then put a few ratchets straps over it and send it. How much did they charge for removal?
Too bad that you weren't picking up that nice Black & White Kenworth with the sleeper, but you would've probably & to do it like you had to do the big Mack tow truck with the front wheels on the back deck because it looks like it might be to long for your bed, that would've been a better load than that Volvo cab with the front main bearing shot, also, that guy has his time & labor to count for plus he didn't know if those bolts would come out easy or not, luckily for him they did, that's more than $100 since he gets paid by the hour
Everybody and their brother was in that truck everyday running all over town, not theirs, who gives a shit attitude everyday. The truck is tired and died. I’m in the video where you met up with the dismantler.
Most service trucks like that. They charge so much an hour minimum so many hours. I know A guy that. runs one. He charges $225 an hour. Minimum 4 hours. Don't care If he's there in five minutes. I feel sorry for the guy that bought that Volvo. That's gonna be expensive to fix. Stay safe Out there steve I'll see you on the next one.
Hi Steve, with this truck job that took 4 hrs to remove the Airwing are you paid for the trip or hourly too I have never been in any form of trucking or delivery so would not know, you have some jobs that look good earners and ones like this that I would not touch cause they look more bother than what it’s worth, and I feel sorry for the one that bought it as well See you on next one and stay safe
? Due to the trucks or anything like that leaking do you charge environmental waste issues because of that type of leak that is occurring with that truck? Sincerely! R.S.V.
Hi Steve, a technical question. You drive all the way from the trailer before detaching the swan neck. Is this to get enough room to undo those two clips or does the swan neck have to be in that downward angle for the clips to come undone?
Tim Gentry is doing repos, going through them and selling them, check with him before you jump into anything, he might have something or something coming up
2014, not running, and at an auction house, sounds like a piece of messed-up engineering gone very wrong. If it was an auto, a Vega comes to mind quickly.
A 10 year old truck that is a non-runner sounds like it was n a wreck...Maybe ran into the wires to catch cars so they do not jump the median on the interstate and go head on into oncoming interstate traffic... I watch Ron Pratt and he got called out to a few of them calls as a rotator tow-truck operator.. Them wire ropes go over the wheels and trash the engine...(Edit after watching more) Oh it's a cail truck.. Who knows what is wrong could of had a exause filter clog and burn the engine up that way rather then.
Cabover content. Love seeing Orwell working in 2023
It’s OK Steve I am one of the OG‘s and just enjoy watching you and your mechanical skills and riding in the cab over. It’s relaxing so it’s all good.

Steve, your content is awesome. I agree that you should keep doing for you and Jen! You are doing just fine.

More than just antifreeze on the ground also is engine oil too. That Volvo had a very bad day. 😮😢
That truck had an automatic, the oil looked red to me like ATF.
Looks like we have a positive Steve again, not one bellowing in pain and anguish. Well done big fella!!
2014 model ,non-running, at an auction ... It was either the first one off the line on Monday or, the last one off the line on Friday.
Tip for pulling trucks with air fairings backwards: just throw a pair of light duty hardware store ratchet straps straight across between the fairings. It'll keep them from ballooning out or ripping off.
Good job and a lot of patience you have Steve. Safe travels!
I seen you in a rest area in NE or IA the other day with that Volvo on! I was going to holler at you but you took off!
Nice tune at 13.35.
Long live Orwell. What kind of suspension does it fit?
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve.
Good evening brother ol man winters here
Pants have belt loops for good reason. Lol...
I've always tried to put airfoils on the frame, right behind the cab, usually that's where there transported at when delivering. Stay Safe!
Thank you Steve. Very enjoyable video. As always love watching. Have a great weekend.
That Volvo is wild. Leaking everything from everywhere, axle's so wrecked one of the tow drivers left his chains on it, and the main bearings are gone.
That wrench in the RB Longmont yard has the anthrax terrible 😷🤘🏼☀️☀️970

you need a drone to shoot video.... and search for cargo)))
What a mess, "But," you sailed out of it smoothly!
Wtf did you answer that call while trying to load.

Yeah I know that's a scammer, already reported him.

Bet you're glad that one is loaded!!

Would be awesome if you could get a hydraulic detach rgn
It’s smoked it should have still been going in my book 😊
Good job steve
Do what ever makes you happy not what other people want
I guess Ritchie Brothers is the same on both coasts. Use to hate to pickup there. But you take anything to get out of Florida.
I had one of those just sold it mine was a 72 chieftain
2014 volvo thats a non runner , known to be plauged with engine sensor problems .The more miles ,the more problems ..
Why did they not load it hood forward or is it height.?..yea volvos are throw aways
All that hourly money he’s making and he can’t afford a damn belt 😅
My sister has an 1972 superior coach RV she’s wanting gone from her property. You have the equipment she would be willing to make a deal like Free, she just wants it gone off property. Only thing is it’s in Texas.
I've been to auctions where the non runners only needed batteries.
It's been driven my many different drivers and never maintained right?
time to update that trailer pretty thin dot won't like that see thru parts!

Money going up the stacks,,,,,
Auction lots are always misorganized
Who's the music at about 14:00. Sounds good in the video. Another great video by the way.
Just checking, you did log that 6 hours as on-duty, right... lol ... I would of logged 15 minutes, loading on-duty...
does your trailer have a pony motor on it for detach or wetline kit?
I25 north stop at Johnson's corner would famous cinnamon rolls
The dude that removed the ferring looks and sounds like whats his name from pawn stars lol
Everybody and their brother was in that truck everyday running all over town, not theirs, who gives a shit attitude everyday. The truck is tired and died. I’m in the video where you met up with the dismantler.
Hey I love your videos please buy one new big truck
Good job brother
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO U AND YOUR FAMILY

The guy who bought could have the parts for it using to complete another truck.
So it has rear end issues
What's the name of the artist and song that played when disconnecting from rgn? That's a cool song.
2014 Volvo. Maybe it had driver's that said, "Oh oil!? You put? In the motor your saying!???
I think I would be getting a different Trailer If I would have to go through all that every time or fix the problem
Man! you got me wanting to go to a Ritchie Auction
I would hazard the def/dpf took a dump and they didnt want to repair it.
I bet you are correct
Hi Steve, with this truck job that took 4 hrs to remove the Airwing are you paid for the trip or hourly too

At an auction blown engine comes to mind.
If Orwell’s happy, you’re happy. Us lot to.
Would it be considered a non runner if they don’t have a key?
Great video Steve
how many miles on that wreck ???
2014 Volvo non runner? Needs a set of injectors and injector cups. LOL
Eat what is on your plate!
Nice 👍
What I can't figure is why someone left perfectly good chains on that axle when they finished towing it.
Hi Steve, a technical question. You drive all the way from the trailer before detaching the swan neck. Is this to get enough room to undo those two clips or does the swan neck have to be in that downward angle for the clips to come undone?
Thoes "clips" hold the weight. There must be no weight on them to swing them away.
@@fsctrucking 👍
Old suburban would be choice
Hi steve
Nice
love the vids keep them coming
That truck might have had 20 different drivers.
Man, you're sounding pretty winded, you feeling ok? I've got asthma myself so I know what it's like being short of breath.
What was that massive oil leak?
The engine blew on it
how come you can play music but nobody else c an without being demontized
That's a lot of work to take one of those parents off. A lot of black coal coming out of that stacks.
Tim Gentry is doing repos, going through them and selling them, check with him before you jump into anything, he might have something or something coming up

A Volvo from California that doesn't work and is a pain in the back side. Yep, sounds about right.
