Rural Thailand The Other Side They Don’t Show You ! We are in Isan the least visited region of Thailand.
Northeast Thailand the Isan region it is roughly half the size of Germany about the size of England and Wales with a population of around 67 million it’s home to a 3rd of the countries population. It is also Thailand’s poorest region. It only gets around 2% of the countries tourism! We are in a small village called Loeng nok tha. Staying with my uncle who owns 90 acres of land with rubber trees and many other plantations
We will try to discover a different side of Thailand. A side that no one talks about.

We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.
We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27.
We have been wanting to travel the world for the last couple of year but covid put a stop to it.
The day has finally come we have sold our business and packed everything we own into storage, rented our house to explore as much of the world as we can in one year.

You are very fortunate to have the opportunity to experience the authentic Isaan Thai way of life. that most tourists rarely experience Although not modern as comfortable as in the big city But the rural people are kind. Always friendly with visitors The provinces in Thailand will have various traditions and festivals to travel. at certain times throughout the year, such as the candle parade and the Devo Tak Bat Bat Festival during the rainy season the merit-making procession during the summer, etc.

I heard the esan people said they could eat only the rat at their rice fields but couldn't eat the rat here in Bangkok. And it's really crazy I heard sometimes it's more expensive than pork or chicken over there. Crazy esan people. Lol
@@onalonan that is true because the rat that live there in bankok is หนูท่อ (not clean live in drian) the one we can eat is call หนูนา can tell the different between them by the head so if they sell the rat with no head dont buy them.

Ah!!! Good to know that your uncle live in Ubon Ratchathani. If you have some more time I recommend you to visit a Kaeng Sam Phan Bok or the three thousand holes is located at Ban Song Khon, Amphoe Pho Sai. They are the rapids under the Mekong River eroded by the swirling water in the flooding season until they turned to have more than 3,000 holes or Bok. Bok is a Laotian word which means a deep hole of the rapids under the Mekong River.

Curious about your observation of the 2 countries, Thailand and Cambodia. I first thought Khmer country would be ok and about the same as Thailand.... I have changed my opinion about that. I think I'll settle for Thailand. Safer...better infrastructure, 7/11 EVERYWHERE....

@@OTWD_yt the yellow bamboo ,you may say it's pickle bamboo., in thai-esarn recipe they cook by stir fry, boiling , such as kaeng normai bai yanarng, soup normai , but I like beef chopped and pickle bamboo stir fried with garlic chilli and kaprouw basil. You may add some cheese together it'so good flavor and yummy.

The ingredients inside are rice mix with pork chopped add peppers soy sauces , sugars . when you grill on stove it's so good smell.and good flavor, in northern Thailand the ingredients inside are different it's call sai-auw sausages. There are some things that I would like to explain further within this clip for you to understand properly.
1. Dogs in rural Thailand Raised independently which is different from your country. Most of them have houses. But it doesn't have to be in the area of the house and the fence. it can be outside But it is true that stray dogs exist in Thailand. They will be captured by the agency.
2. In Thailand, English is taught in public schools. But in rural areas they learn later than in private schools and later than in big cities. In Thailand, English teaching has failed. Personnel in Thailand learn English through grammar and memorization, which fail to really apply. which is a problem with the education system in Thailand
3. Rats used as raw materials for cooking a rat from a rice field Not rats from the city, rats from the rice fields live in the rice fields. and eat rice in the fields Therefore, it is not as dirty as a rat in the city that lives with garbage and food scraps. Thai people only use rats from rice fields for cooking, it's safe.

I'm currently living in Loeng Nok Tha since I'm doing volunteer service as a teaching assistant. And ngl you kinda make it seem like Loeng Nok Tha is just a small village with only a bunch of wooden houses and one small public school. But for everyone who has never been there: Loeng Nok Tha is a small town that has a lot more to offer. Here are a lot of cute Cafés (I've been here for two months now and there are still many I haven't tried yet), a lot of shops which offer each all kinds of stuff, a big market every Saturday where you can buy a lot of clothes and other stuff, two food markets, restaurants left and right, several hair salons, a hospital, a bus station with a good direct connection to a lot of cities, a public school with around 2500 students, and so on
100% and it’s not too far from ubon ratchathani. My uncle has lived in loeng Nok 15 years and everyone in the community is so nice! ❤️🇹🇭
