Terrific video --1702 has never looked better. Great production -- one gets a real sense of the operation. Inspiring message for "cooped-up" railfans everywhere. Steam lives!
Well done...I hate that it basically takes a nap on the return trips but whenever they eventually get this turntable stuff done, I'm sure that will change. Great job!
Also apparently the crossings at the Bryson city depo fail to action but all the other crossings ( the ones with lights and bells) work perfectly and another thing is during the trip we had to stop for a sound problem I would be appreciate if some one could tell me what is a sound problem please and thank you
I’ve had the opportunity to ride the GSMR a few times, but never under steam. Thanks for sharing
Awesome! I hope someday you are able to ride behind the steam locomotive.
That’s a glorious whistle on the 1702! Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Awesome Video Buddy! 1702 sounds Amazing with the New Whistle. Fantastic Job!
Thanks! I agree about the whistle!

Thank you! Yes, it’s about Time steam returns.
Nicely done! I love how 1702 sounds now!
Thank you! 1702 sounds amazing with that new whistle!
Great video! I’m awaiting later this year to return!
Thank you! You should definitely return if you can! Such a fun chase!
Stevewivibeevy Railfan Productions somepoint
Stevewivibeevy Railfan Productions it will be a while!
I really like the Silver Star Car!

Thank you! Yeah it’ll be better to see it lead both directions.
Nice whistle
The locomotive was built for the US army and saved from the scrapyard. It can still be seen operating on the Great Smokey Mountains railroad.
Is that a smart new 3 chime steam whistle I hear
Amazing video + Nice shots! Id hope to be there in the future!
Thanks!
Get 722 restored again and have her doublehead with 1702. That’ll be awesome!
I like your idea but that might not never happen, possibly too good to be true. You really need to look in detail with funding etc.
@@darriusstrainsthings5736 if 722 wants to be rebuilt. I’m thinking 3 rivers rambler. They have a 4-4-0 that could be traded.
Outstanding work, congrats on 400!
Thank you! For both!

Not sure exactly what a sound problem is
I was on her train on November 22 , 2020
Hope you had fun
@@SteamZRailfan yea I did
Did the train get past the train wreck from the fugitive?
No. That would be the tuckasegee route which they haven’t run on in about a year
So that part is abandoned?
@@dominedgar9458 no. They are just not running that train because of Covid
If only the voice covid could disappear.
Does 1702 operate at a specific time of the year?
Yes. It runs summer, fall, and most of November/December. You can find the schedule on the website
Why does 1702 have a new whistle instead of a old one
One of their shop guys built it from plans of a real Southern Railway Steptop 3 chime. Sounds much better than that other Ps4 copy.
Jarrett Prince and I know why 1702 needs a new whistle because they want to change things up and so they can test it out
Hope this one is a keeper.
Agreed
That Southern Steptop 3 Chime on 1702 sounds like a PRR and CNJ 3 Chime mix altogether.
