@@kumori9940 That depends on what you like best. I had been mainly using Long Sword and Bow, there hasn't been anything up to Village High Rank (I think I just beat Nargacuga last time I played) that has given me much trouble except Shen Gaoren, who took a few tries.
@@Solibrae well for gaoren most people said using heroic and hbg combo. And i saw a video someone do it easily. But im bad with gunning and making armor just for gaoren feels like chore. But if u have some recomendation on lance or gunlance build. It will be much appreciated

Having just started farming hyper gold rathian on my own character, I can't imagine how maddening this fight must have been. Mad respect for using guild style, too!
Congratulations on the victory! This was fun to watch! a few days ago i did this quest in the arena and boy was it a thrill to do! Faint twice, few potions left, and a lots of Will power to beat it. My goal is to finish ALL quests in GU before Rise, only a couple in the last two g ranks to go, wish me luck, and happy hunting!
Damn, rolling forwards diagonally to avoid Gold Bitch somersault. Clever! I'm stealing that. I tried this today with guild insect glaive and I think I almost had it but Gold Bitch triple carted me...I had already put Silver Dickhead to sleep...bummer.
@@Solibrae I did it! yay! guild insect glaive 7 mins left. I focused on Rathian first because it seems she doesn't summon Rathalos at all while Silver Los does summon her! I think Rathalos is a coward and his woman protects him, lol. Rathian took like 28 mins while Rathalos only like 15 mins, probably cause wife has worst hitzones then husband. Btw God bless the cats and bless the Neset set!
@@Luis-Hernandez.2022 Excellent! Maybe you just got lucky with the Goldian not summoning the Silverlos? There's no doubt that grabbing a bunch of utility skills with the Neset armour is great for a tough quest like this one.
I wonder if any ranged weapon is able to complete this quest before emptying the whole coating or ammo. Bow probably able to since it won't need ammo albeit far weaker without power coating, i wonder about hbg and lbg, I dont think i want to torture myself against them using melee, silver rath might be okay with my sns since i can flash spam it, but gold rath seems more annoying to deal with
Try using the ammo saver skill and mass combiner hunter art. Mass combiner guarantees that you'll always get 3 ammo when crafting them (so you can craft 180 piercing ammo in total) and ammo saver increases your reserve by about 20% so in total you get about 288 ammo which just shy of 5 stacks, so it should probably be enough if you deal enough damage.

Yo! Longsword main here! I'm just getting into GU from world and I have to ask, why do you choose guild over the other styles? What's a great longsword style/arts for people who aren't used to the more stiff controls of the game?
That's great! I hope you have good fun with GU. I prefer Guild Style because I enjoy an evasion-focused playstyle the most, but I also think the Adept Style dodges make it both too easy to dodge and too focused on dodging to do Spirit Blade combos. If you like doing Counters you might prefer Valour Style. I don't think any setup is going to make the controls feel more smooth, but the Absolute Evasion and Absolute Readiness Hunter Arts give you more mobility if you want to use them.

Valor is fantastic when you know a monster through and through but guild allows me to still get kills without knowing the full moveset of newer monsters. Fadeslash into spirit combo is probably my favorite thing in this game next to the Sakura Slash hunting art. I'm no speedrunner I just wanna make sets and weapons LOL

Guild style is nice and simple when it comes to the moveset. Feels just like World but without foresight, helmbreak or special sheath. I love the fluidity and simplicity, but coming from World and having no form of counter is a dealbreaker for me. Adept style loses just a few moves, notably the spirit roundslash and the ability to fade slash backwards, but it has the very forgiving adept dodge and counter which makes it super comfy. This is my personal favourite style. Valor style is admittedly very complex and has lots of different combos, but it is also fairly comfy if you learn the timing of the spirit guard point (not to mention the valor sheathe), and it is undoubtedly the strongest style when mastered. I like to use it on monsters with easy tells, such as Glavenus and Diablos. I hope this rundown proves useful to you and whoever else reads this that might pick up LS in GU! I left the other styles out because there’s nothing all too special about them imo, but they’re all viable for sure. 1200+ LS hunts and I’m still learning new things. I remember in FU days when gold and silver rathalos had identical move sets to their other variants and they didn’t have BS head hit zones.

@@kumori9940 those weapons are fun but you're not doing any damage with them. Go HBG or Hammer, those are the best DPS.

I would imagine you'd need to take the max ammo possible and combine more to not run out. Good luck!
