Especially the sword and shield and greatsword moves. Seems like they've done a good job with the other weapons but those two feel lacking in the cool options we see here. i wouldn't want them as a gauge though, i would rather they be less strong but we're able to use them when we want.
5:01 It's still pisses me off so much that we didn't get this as a wirebug skill in Rise or Sunbreak. Instead we got 2 jumping moves one of which is just SAED, 2 different parries, and a stupid nondamaging dash. Like seriously, Sunbreak would have been the absolute perfect time to give us a different way to do elemental damage instead of just phials. Us charge blade users deserved one giant big dumb elemental slash for Sunbreak after the absolute travesty that was Rise charge blade. Seriously, why the fuck does Savage axe go away when you wiredash/fall when THAT'S HOW YOU SURVIVE IN THIS GAME 🤬
Dude I get that the diversity we might've had with energy blade in the game would've been nice, but everything else you say following that are basically just a rant with some skill issue. Might wanna think why the game gave you 2 new skills that have either hyper armor or guard which works without disabling savage axe. You know like, maybe in order to support that playstyle's stability? Also, you're totally sleeping on morphing advance. You don't know how handy that gets when you're repositioning yourself for a perfect SAED angle. Trust me when I say this. No other weapon gets even close to Charge Blade level when it comes to overall wirebug skill usefulness. Every one of those are more than indispensable either in SAED build or savage axe build.
@@2Shiba ah, an eletist! Maybe you should pull your thumb out of your butt and actually read what I said. They ROYALLY fucked over Charge Blade in Rise and Sunbreak and literally every person I've ever spoken to (even my best friend who is MH oldie) says that charge blade got shafted. Also, I don't wanna hear *shit* about any "skill issue" when I spent the entirety of base Rise and all title updates exclusively trying to make savage axe work. Did you know that when you wiredash, your axe buff goes away? They literally added a skip for the "No phials" animation when you're transferring into Savage axe sunbreak because of how stupid it was to have to sit there for 25 seconds after getting hit and rebuff, or you have to take the hit and roll on the ground and hope you survive. Did you know any of that? Probably not! Also, just so you know, I did over 500 hunts in base Rise with charge blade, mixing up sword and axe mode, and could get through Apex Zinogre Emergency without carting. With condensed spining slash. No skill issues here, maybe you should try going back to base rise and doing that hunt with the savage axe build and then come back and tell me how it went.
It's interesting seeing different experiences online. I personally like the charge blade as is in Sunrise. Never had issues with the different play styles other than learning the moves of the monster. (Coming from multiple different weapons, can take a Lil time relearning what are the best openings for which. ) Evade extender helps a lot in savage axe mode for me personally. There's also that gaurd silk bind.
Dude charge blade does up to 7000 per discharge in sunbreak while genu cb was the worst the weapon has ever been I get the laser sword cause it’s absolutely sick but in genu it’s nothing but a gimmick I would’ve loved to see it get picked up and expanded tho
@@thugkermit9999So what you're saying is: you'd rather do 7000 damage quite a bit of which is physical but it be on an extremely slow animation (7 seconds til phial damage) and have a high chance of missing some of it, versus having that same 7000 damage on a quick and *fuckin ginormous* hitbox and it be purely elemental damage all in one strike. 🤦

Rise and Sunbreak take more inspiration from this. Monster Hunter have Portable Titles and Mainline titles. Generations ultimate, like Rise is more experimental. Faster paced. (Rise even has skills like prowler for the palicos and palamutes) World is slower paced like the main line ones. The Mainline ones are usually slower. the trance slash, it reminds me of Li Dian of Dynasty Warriors 8
