The thing that often goes unmentioned about the Rasengan is that in Naruto it stated pretty early on as early as the fight with Haku that chakra isn't normally supposed to be visible. Turning chakra into an element is one thing, but to have an attack that is just pure chakra is basically unheard of and why it's one of the hardest jutsu to learn.

@Mini Crewmate the fight against Kakuzu shows that Naruto couldn't throw it as as soon as it leaves narutos hand it destabilized, releasing its huge power. This was a problem cause the rasen shuriken hurt the user too. With sage mode and the natural energy that is everywhere the rasen shuriken got stable enough to only release its power by impact, so Naruto was able to throw it.

No, it was explain in the manga that he tried to add the elemental recomposition to it but didn't quite work with the spacial recomposition of rasengan so he essentially changed it to the spacial recomposition of lightning while giving it the elemental recomposition of lightning nature, and that became Chidori
The Kamehameha has actually killed a few people. The Rasengan just kinda annoys villains. Pretty much everyone and their brother just gets up. Shit, Minato planted on directly into Obito's SPINE during Kurama's attack and....? Obito seemed just fine when next we saw him.
It was his attempt to add a nature to the rasengan. He failed at it ultimately and decided to tone down the shape transformation until it worked which gave him the chidori.
From what I recall, that gave him the lighting blade. The chidori IS actually a rasengan with lighting style. with small differences tho so he didn't exactly fail
Chidori and Raikiri (the original name for lightning blade) are the EXACT same Jutsu overall. Chidori being the original jutsu and Raikiri being a name given to it after Kakashi legendarily cut through a bolt of lightning. If you really want to split hairs after Kakashi teaches Sasuke the Chidori his technique is almost exclusively called the Raikiri from there on to differentiate them. And it IS a failed natured Rasengan, Kakashi actually tells Naruto this back when he was trying to make the Rasenshuriken, further stating the Fourth Hokage failed to add his own nature as well. The lack of shape transformation on the technique actually comes into play later in part 2 with Sasuke who adds it to make a variety of new techniques such as the Chidori Senbon (basically a shower of lightning needles) and the chidori sharp spear.

Well it is a failed attempt. It is not a lightning nature rasengan. Chidori is a process of "well I couldn't get the nature element to mix with perfect chakra control, but this stabby lightning punch is pretty cool"
thats not really true. Kakashi had tried to fuse his lightning element with the rasengan and failed. So instead he developed a jutsu that didn't rely so heavily on shape manipulation and out came the Chidori. So in a sense it was developed from the rasengan, but since it is also the complete opposite you are looking at quite a big departure from the original idea.
Well I mean if Kakashi succeeded in applying lighting nature element to his Rasengan instead of giving up and trying something else then he would've made Vanishing Rasengan. That's all I'm saying.
But it was an incomplete jutsu. It was incredibly unreliable, used all of Naruto's focus to make it, and he couldn't do it more than 1 time. Not to mention having to draw on Kurama's chakra left him wide open for Kurama to kill him. Kurama becoming Naruto's friend made the Bijuu Rasengan basically pointless.

he does, you can clearly see when he's saving everyone in the chunin exam arena that in his eyes that he has the sage mode horizontal pupil mixed with kuramas vertical eye pupil but he doesn't have the orange surrounding his eye, meaning that he's in his six paths mode.
Naruto does have his SO6P powers. He used it against Momoshiki and he's the meeting place for all the bijuu. He just uses full Kurama now, instead of chakra from all the bijuu for SO6P mode. He only lost the hand seal, which Sasuke lost too and the truth seeking orbs.

Actually, he couldn't throw the rasenshuriken until he acquired senjutsu. The reason it was forbidden was because it hit Naruto too when used, before he could throw it.

Joharim Stroman well kakashi can just do regular rasengan but lacks the ability to apply a nature to it or morph it into something else. when he made chidori while trying to perfect rasengan, it was just a happy accident and he decided to explore what he could do with the chidori instead.
Whats interesting is that the Rasengan idea simplified is a really fast moving sharp winds with it being controlled and shaped into a sphere its sounds really basic especially since it has no weakness agaisnt other types but its also complicated. Its like a baseline for many other moves as well.
Imagine if you could make a wood style spear and, instead of forcing chakra into a spherical shape for the rasengan, you could force your rasengan to form around the wood spear. Wood Release Rasenspear
It's more like the Chidori cancels the Rasengan because piercing something that spins and then dispersing stops its momentum, whereas the Tailed Beast Bomb doesn't spin and is thus an equal to the Susano'o Chidori. The added Amaterasu is what causes the explosion that wipes their arms out because it alters the Chidori into a more explosive Jutsu, similar to the Rasengan's own explosive power. So, in essence, the Chidori cancels the Rasengan and ties the Tailed Beast Ball.

It was his attempt to add a nature to the rasengan. He failed at it ultimately and decided to tone down the shape transformation until it worked which gave him the chidori.

From what I recall, that gave him the lighting blade. The chidori IS actually a rasengan with lighting style. with small differences tho so he didn't exactly fail
Chidori and Raikiri (the original name for lightning blade) are the EXACT same Jutsu overall. Chidori being the original jutsu and Raikiri being a name given to it after Kakashi legendarily cut through a bolt of lightning. If you really want to split hairs after Kakashi teaches Sasuke the Chidori his technique is almost exclusively called the Raikiri from there on to differentiate them. And it IS a failed natured Rasengan, Kakashi actually tells Naruto this back when he was trying to make the Rasenshuriken, further stating the Fourth Hokage failed to add his own nature as well.
The lack of shape transformation on the technique actually comes into play later in part 2 with Sasuke who adds it to make a variety of new techniques such as the Chidori Senbon (basically a shower of lightning needles) and the chidori sharp spear.
Imagine you could combine the Rasengan and Chidori... it would be Chisengan or Radori!

thats not really true. Kakashi had tried to fuse his lightning element with the rasengan and failed. So instead he developed a jutsu that didn't rely so heavily on shape manipulation and out came the Chidori. So in a sense it was developed from the rasengan, but since it is also the complete opposite you are looking at quite a big departure from the original idea.
Well I mean if Kakashi succeeded in applying lighting nature element to his Rasengan instead of giving up and trying something else then he would've made Vanishing Rasengan. That's all I'm saying.

But it was an incomplete jutsu. It was incredibly unreliable, used all of Naruto's focus to make it, and he couldn't do it more than 1 time. Not to mention having to draw on Kurama's chakra left him wide open for Kurama to kill him.
Kurama becoming Naruto's friend made the Bijuu Rasengan basically pointless.

I don't usually comment on anything on youtube. I'm a huge anime fan. I'm completely caught up on Naruto/Shippuden. I'm working on watching all of Bleach now. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Bleach or not but I'm watching the Captains and Visoreds vs. Aizen arc and boy let me tell you, Aizen is a beast. His preparation and intellect alone has me in total ahhh. And Aizen's Kyōka Suigetsu is beyond incret. You should definitely do something comparing Madara and Aizen. Whether it be their intellect, intelligence, strength, full potential of their powers, how they would match up in fight, whatever, i just wana see something with them two. It can be any Version of Aizen and Madara

Lucas Feliciano it’s not an evolution, kakashi just failed at adding his lightning nature chakra in it, thus creating the chidori. It’s not an evolution, it’s a different jutsu. It was just made while TRYING to make a rasengan... but with lightning chakra. Plus my personal opinion is that narutos stronger than sasuke.
Because Kakashi created it on purpose to make up for not being able to apply Lightning to the Rasengan. It wasn't based on the Rasengan. It's not a biproduct of the Rasengan. It's not a failed Lightning Rasengan. It's literally just a shit ton of Lightning Chakra.

Whats interesting is that the Rasengan idea simplified is a really fast moving sharp winds with it being controlled and shaped into a sphere its sounds really basic especially since it has no weakness agaisnt other types but its also complicated. Its like a baseline for many other moves as well.

People say rasengan cancelled a kagatsushi chidori and forget that a chidori cancelled a tailed beast bomb .

It's more like the Chidori cancels the Rasengan because piercing something that spins and then dispersing stops its momentum, whereas the Tailed Beast Bomb doesn't spin and is thus an equal to the Susano'o Chidori. The added Amaterasu is what causes the explosion that wipes their arms out because it alters the Chidori into a more explosive Jutsu, similar to the Rasengan's own explosive power. So, in essence, the Chidori cancels the Rasengan and ties the Tailed Beast Ball.
