Personally, I think it's just a bottomless pit, but the same conclusion could be had if it was just a really long drop.

If the phone is by itself, it'll work like it should, for a certain time. After that, you'll need to heal/charge it. If the phone is on the cable, it'll work just as good, but for longer.

Kakashi actually tried doing that with Deidara. He didn't aim for his arm, he MISSED. He was aiming at his head and Deidara moved too much and he couldn't keep the portal placed properly.

After the tailed beasts were pulled out of Obito and he lay there defeated, Kakashi teleported on top of Obito from the pocket dimension. All Kakashi had to do was place his hand up to his face/left eye causing his focal point to be right next to him. I don't remember how Madara did it but both eyes are capable of teleporting one's self in and out.

Considering that Hashirama Cells are CONSTANTLY healing their user, the Eternal Mankekyou becomes pretty irrelevant since the second you get the cells they’ll constantly heal your eyes and keep you from going blind.
You forgot that while Kakashi has never teleported himself IN to the Kamui dimension, he has teleported himself OUT of the Kamui dimension when he and Naruto were fighting Obito simultaneously, so the left eye is in fact capable of close range teleportation even though it's rarely used (he also teleported himself out just after Obito has the Ten Tails removed in an attempt to kill him). The MASSIVE plot hole surrounding Kamui for me is that Obito, the jutsu's creator, stated that he couldn't use Kamui while he was the Juubi Jinchuriki for as yet unknown reasons, yet Madara, who was the Juubi Jinchuriki at the time and had never possessed Obito's eye before, just ripped that shit out of Kakashi's head, slapped it into his own skull, and then immediately used the jutsu...... like how the fuck do you explain that lmao
Sigma0426A I'm late but I think I have an answer. Obito said he can't pass through objects with the Ten Tails inside him. Madara could use it maybe because it doesn't phase him through matter, it's just him simply opening the portal and teleporting to the Kamui world.
Late as response but Madara also had a more complete ten-tails in him since he had most of the eight-tails and half of the nine-tails. That could've helped too. Obito's form looked way less complete with all the cracks and what not.
Let's just say Kakashi is still trying to master it up until he met Obito again in the 4th shinobi war. He stuck with Obito long enough(both fighting and fighting alongside each other) to gain the full understanding and mastery of Kamui. As for Madara's case, he trained Obito so of course he'd try to know his Mangekyo Sharingan well enough to help him. Another thing, if you notice during Sasuke's fight with Danzo, Obito tried to use Kamui from a long distance to stop Danzo's killing blow while giving Sasuke enough time to free himself. So in short, both eyes can do the same thing long/short range etc. It's just that one does it better than the other while the latter does it better than the former.
Hashiram's cells are on his right side which is the side he had his eye crushed keeping healing and repleanishing chakra because it is linked to the ghetto statue which has most bijuu chakra in it

If Sarada gets Mangekyou that would mean that either Sasuke or Sakura gets killed with Sarada watching them die. Because I highly doubt that she would be able to kill any of her friends or even love interest, probably Boruto.
The Uchiha don't have to see death to advance to the next level. Anything that gives an intense emotion triggers Mangekyou like, becoming a Chunin or mastering a difficult justu will make you feel ecstatic.

Kamui was broken, but wouldn’t have been nearly as overpowered under standard conditions. Hashirama’s DNA and Rikudo chakra pushed it over the edge. I’d imagine that without Hashirama’s cells, an MS user with Kamui would go blind very quickly between intangibility, teleportation, and long-range warping. And the Perfect Susano’o with Kamui wouldn’t have been possible at all without the sage chakra.
I think there were a few nitpicks I had in this video but nothing substantial for sure. You definitely covered Kamui well. However, one bit of extra information I may add is that the Databooks state that Kamui is a sealed space, so as you'd probably guess, there should be no way to escape Kamui dimension other than via Kamui itself. Meaning no summonings or anything of the sort should be able to bypass Kamui. Also, this is kind of up in the air since I'm sure it got retconned in the 4 Ninja War arc, but Kamui was able to let Obito teleport in the early parts of Shippuden. As seen when he teleported over to Sasuke after the Itachi vs Sasuke battle and also when he teleported into the Five Kage Summit.

Either way, my point still stands, he was completely fresh against Sasuke. There was no reason one Kamui should've taken him out of the battle like that. Hell, he even used it more than once against Deidara. So, like I said, it was plot being plot.
Adam J. Harper Yeah, that's not accurate. If a heavily damaged, and battle fatigued Kakashi can pull off 2 Kamui, though at the cost of his life, then 1 should be no problem. Like against Deidara, 1 drained him, but he wasn't left almost completely helpless. We even see him do more in The War, prior to getting Kurama's chakra, and he's relatively fine, despite, again, having been battle worn and using chakra costly techniques.
Adam J. Harper Well, actually, we know more training allows you to utilize your ability better. While the chakra cost doesn't lower by huge amounts, it would logically depend on how Kakashi intends to Kamui. A small one shouldn't be cost heavy, even for him. Also, spam is a bit much, he was fatigued multiple times throughout the fight, and bleeding out of his eyes. It's not like he was Obito levels of spam.
The blood around obito's eye when he fought the blood mist ninjas was not due to mangekyo bleeding, it’s the blood of all the people he killed splashed through the hole on his zetsu mask.
Obito had Guruguru wrapped around his body while he was massacring all the Mist Ninja; the blood of his enemies splattered onto his Zetsu suit. When Guruguru unwrapped off of Obito's head, the blood near his eyes couldn't have come from the enemies-it might've stained his robe, if it dripped down off of Guruguru, but there's no way it'd land on his face like that. Therefore, the blood on Obito's eye did come from the Mangekyo awakening.

His eye most likely did bleed, because every other Mangekyo we see awaken causes the persons eye or eyes to bleed, but yeah, most of the blood we see was from the guys Obito slaughtered.
I know you probably won’t see this (seeing as its been 3 years) but after rewatching the war arc we do see kakashi use the left eye to transport himself “out” of the kamui dimension after one of his scuffles with obito. Based on that scene and the scene with Masada tells me that the left eye can be used for transportation between the dimensions. The scene with madara isn’t a one off like we thought.

The main problem with using the left eye to teleport yourself is you need to aim your focal point at point blank range. Now Madara is probably so good at that since he had sage chakra and could perceive things without his actual sight, so he would know where to put the portal to get his entire body. People without sage mode could also do this, though you're more likely to rip a piece of your body off if you miss so it's just safer not to.

I think because Madara was equivalent to the Sage of 6 Paths at the time, he was able to create a portal big enough to transport his whole body from a short range.

How does everyone in the naruto series who unlock the Mangeko sharingans ablilties (except for sasuke) know the names of the abilities they have unlocked, these include Kamui, Amatarasu and others to.
There is no reason. Naming them themselves can't be either. How would Itachi and Madara both come up with the name Susano considering the years between them? I mean what are the odds? And don't leave out Sasuke, his case actually speaks volumes. Tobirama also mentions "kagutsuchi" when he sees him using it.
I'd imagine that all these abilities have actually popped up before. Zetsu described Itachi's abilities once as if he was recalling it from somewhere else, so it'd make sense, weird as it may seem.
Kikashi was able to teleport himself out of the Kamui dimension using the left eye. I think it just takes lots of practice to be able to do it with the left unlike the right eye. And Madara was able to do it well because he’s Madara.
Perhaps Kakashi can use Kamui a lot before he comes close to being blind is because it's a transplanted eye (even though the mangekyo sharingan was evolved after the transplant and therefore wouldn't be an eternal mangekyo sharingan)
nnynaruto it's not a plot hole. Left kamui opens a portal and it doesn't have to be far away. The difference is that right kamui keeps things together naturally as they get absorbed but left kamui tips them apart naturally. It never would've occurred to kakashi that he could go into his portals safely until he deduced what obito was doing.

I'm willing to accept that Kamui just doesn't damage a user's eyes like other MS abilities do (or at least doesn't damage them as much). It's not that far of a leap to make seeing that Obito's eyes almost never bleed. You could argue hashirama cells help Obito out with that, but Kakashi's main problem was running out of chakra, not going blind. He was able to spam it in the war arc and only then started to lose vision in it, so I don't think it's a stretch to say even without Hashirama cells, Kamui does WAY less damage to the sharingan than Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi

After the tailed beasts were pulled out of Obito and he lay there defeated, Kakashi teleported on top of Obito from the pocket dimension. All Kakashi had to do was place his hand up to his face/left eye causing his focal point to be right next to him. As for Madara's case, he trained Obito so of course he'd try to know his Mangekyo Sharingan well enough to help him. Another thing, if you notice during Sasuke's fight with Danzo, Obito tried to use Kamui from a long distance to stop Danzo's killing blow while giving Sasuke enough time to free himself. So in short, both eyes can do the same thing long/short range etc. It's just that one does it better than the other while the latter does it better than the former.

Kamui was broken, but wouldn’t have been nearly as overpowered under standard conditions. Hashirama’s DNA and Rikudo chakra pushed it over the edge. I’d imagine that without Hashirama’s cells, an MS user with Kamui would go blind very quickly between intangibility, teleportation, and long-range warping. And the Perfect Susano’o with Kamui wouldn’t have been possible at all without the sage chakra.
Probably would be possible if Obito had access to both of his eyes. He has Hashirama cells so I'm sure he can conjure Perfect Susanoo with Kamui.

I think there were a few nitpicks I had in this video but nothing substantial for sure. You definitely covered Kamui well.
However, one bit of extra information I may add is that the Databooks state that Kamui is a sealed space, so as you'd probably guess, there should be no way to escape Kamui dimension other than via Kamui itself. Meaning no summonings or anything of the sort should be able to bypass Kamui.
Also, this is kind of up in the air since I'm sure it got retconned in the 4 Ninja War arc, but Kamui was able to let Obito teleport in the early parts of Shippuden. As seen when he teleported over to Sasuke after the Itachi vs Sasuke battle and also when he teleported into the Five Kage Summit.

Also, spam is a bit much, he was fatigued multiple times throughout the fight, and bleeding out of his eyes. It's not like he was Obito levels of spam.
The blood around obito's eye when he fought the blood mist ninjas was not due to mangekyo bleeding, it’s the blood of all the people he killed splashed through the hole on his zetsu mask.

When Guruguru unwrapped off of Obito's head, the blood near his eyes couldn't have come from the enemies-it might've stained his robe, if it dripped down off of Guruguru, but there's no way it'd land on his face like that. Therefore, the blood on Obito's eye did come from the Mangekyo awakening.

I know you probably won’t see this (seeing as its been 3 years) but after rewatching the war arc we do see kakashi use the left eye to transport himself “out” of the kamui dimension after one of his scuffles with obito. Based on that scene and the scene with Masada tells me that the left eye can be used for transportation between the dimensions. The scene with madara isn’t a one off like we thought.

The main problem with using the left eye to teleport yourself is you need to aim your focal point at point blank range. Now Madara is probably so good at that since he had sage chakra and could perceive things without his actual sight, so he would know where to put the portal to get his entire body. People without sage mode could also do this, though you're more likely to rip a piece of your body off if you miss so it's just safer not to.
So OP that kishimoto nerfed the guy into oblivion just so people could touch him.

How does everyone in the naruto series who unlock the Mangeko sharingans ablilties (except for sasuke) know the names of the abilities they have unlocked, these include Kamui, Amatarasu and others to.
It's a shounen anime, that's why. But if you're looking for a logical reason, then they probably named the abilities themselves.

I'd imagine that all these abilities have actually popped up before. Zetsu described Itachi's abilities once as if he was recalling it from somewhere else, so it'd make sense, weird as it may seem.

Kikashi was able to teleport himself out of the Kamui dimension using the left eye. I think it just takes lots of practice to be able to do it with the left unlike the right eye. And Madara was able to do it well because he’s Madara.
Perhaps Kakashi can use Kamui a lot before he comes close to being blind is because it's a transplanted eye (even though the mangekyo sharingan was evolved after the transplant and therefore wouldn't be an eternal mangekyo sharingan)

nnynaruto it's not a plot hole. Left kamui opens a portal and it doesn't have to be far away. The difference is that right kamui keeps things together naturally as they get absorbed but left kamui tips them apart naturally.
It never would've occurred to kakashi that he could go into his portals safely until he deduced what obito was doing.

I'm willing to accept that Kamui just doesn't damage a user's eyes like other MS abilities do (or at least doesn't damage them as much). It's not that far of a leap to make seeing that Obito's eyes almost never bleed. You could argue hashirama cells help Obito out with that, but Kakashi's main problem was running out of chakra, not going blind. He was able to spam it in the war arc and only then started to lose vision in it, so I don't think it's a stretch to say even without Hashirama cells, Kamui does WAY less damage to the sharingan than Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi
