I grew up with a dad who would randomly cut into walls to see what was behind them, he made me a Bookcase in the wall (like the shelving you built here) that actually opened and I had a little hangout room behind it. My room was in the attic & it had slanted walls, so much wasted space, he fixed it. When my husband & I moved into our house now, my dad was eager for some projects 😂😂

My husband built this years ago. My mil could no longer climb stairs so the kids got together & inclosed the back porch & turned it into a bathroom. The doorway was moved. What to do with the original doorway in a 100 year old house. Hubby did this & its amazing! She absolutely loved it ❤❤❤
The struggle is real…but of course he got it! A real proctologist look with those snapping 🧤. Keep on spoiling that wife and making us envious. Another great job!
You did a beautiful job, but do consider getting a dust mask for next time you cut into drywall and such🙏 Because that was a worrying amount of dust on your face, and it's worth teaching folks who watch projects like these online to protect their lungs😊

I had my husband do this when we redid our bathroom 21yrs ago. I am not a fan of those medicine cabinets behind the mirror. So we made one as a decor type shelf to the right of mirror and one on wall opposite from the sink to store meds, beauty products and dental hygiene tools. We have been so happy with it. Highly recommend it.

And 2 this is why I'm always so busy. so many guys haven't learned how to be creative and capable in the physical world. I'm fixing everything everywhere everyday in my neighborhood. I should learn how to accept this money they are trying to give me.

My dad put in similar shelves in almost every home he ever lived in. He loved to put them behind doors, making good use of unusable space.
