Crazy you found a brand new one a few years ago… I found a brand new in 2014, never sold it, its my favorite reel ever. Its also turned into a Pixzilla but with a clicker in the drag star, IS Lariat Drag Star, I‘Ze Factory spool and PX Carbon Handle
I've found Belray waterproof grease to be virtually the same grease as the blue daiwa grease, it stays where you put it , saltwater resistant , etc. $10 a tub a most any motorcycle shop. Helluva a find for sure ,on the pixy !
Coolest vid Ive seen in long time...you make it look so easy...Ive done bout half doz bearing upgrades ...still get nervous popping the spool pin....thats just plain fun to watch.....appears you've done a few thousand or more with way you handled stuff.....very impressed...thanks for posting!!
I got a dilemma I’ve been told you have to change gear shaft to a longer one to fit the 7 disc drag is this true are does this only applie to if your putting a swept bent handle on it also is there certain clicking drag stars that’s compatible with a stright handle
Trey, what do you use to get your e-clips off the reel? I have an actual e-clip removal tool but it's never really worked as well as an old micro flathead screwdriver. Great how to video BTW!
Hi I’m doing a pixzilla myself I took the 7:2:1 gears and pinion from a alphas sv sh 105 and replaced in the pixy then out a alphas sv 105 drag clicker kit inside , the drag clicker sound would work but the drag star would get near stuck when tightening loosening the drag and the reel rotation was very slow … like if I turn the handle a let go usually eh spool keeps going for a few seconds with this change it would stop immediately , I believe the drag stack being high might be the culprit Where do you think I’m going wrong here is it the main gear and pinion that’s the problem or the drag stack ? If I put them in the alphas they work perfectly so I’m not sure why they wont go in the pixy ? I tried the 7:2:1 gear with pixy drag stack didn’t work either any help or advice appreciated
Do you know where I can get a drive shaft to convert a px68 spr to a clicking drag star? The only part number I could find is a discontinued part and I haven’t found a substitute.
Looked on their site and only saw steez drive shafts. Already tried to message them but never got a response. My work hours don’t really leave me time to call them sadly.

Needle nose pliers.. I hate that clip but they work well..
