Teasing the Bear (children's game): Player one chucks knife at bear - gets chassed. Player two gives the bear a friendly pat on the bottom as it charges past, then briefly experiences a sequence of ballistics demonstrations. Bear kills player two. Player one conducts dodging/knifing dance with bear. Bear is not amused and kills player one. Game over, man!
For someone that's always giving Capac grief for having his torch on when not necessary you spend a lot of time with your torch on when it's not necessary. :😜
Damn you actually recited my theory! When you were looking for it I was so hoping it was mine and it was! I'm so happy that you read it. Thank you splitsie, always my favorite streamer/youtuber :) And curse capac for not listening! Edit: I see now that you gave it a heart, I hadn't gotten a notification of that for some reason lol
Keep your excess seeds! They can be turned into Seed Oil at a Mortar and Pestle, which can then be used to make Biofuel (600 seeds = 40 Seed Soil = 1 filled biofuel canister), or in a more efficient Cured Leather recipe once you get to the T3 Advanced Textiles Bench.
no spoilers but there is a food that gives the mounts a buff :) and get your fish traps in the water for better food buffs,, but keep up the good work, love the "Icarus" been watching since your first ever icarus vid, and i clearly remember this............ "Help Help Capac Bear!!!" lol
Btw, RE the obsidian knife, as far as I can tell, lighting hostiles on fire can't light you back on fire. Or at least, I've yet to see it happen. And the debuff from it, -50% regen and -25% max HP, is arguably the _best_ combat effect from the new element weapons. The downside is that the obsidian knife, iirc, only has the yield of a Steel Knife (and about the same damage, just split between physical and fire), and it can randomly cook the meat you get. That _can_ be a benefit, because cooked food on the go, but it prevents it from stacking, and _raw_ meat has solid cooking uses in T3 and T4. Still, it's imo the best knife you can get for combat before T4.
Splitsie, you are as bad for my wallet as women were in my high school years . Icarus and Stationeers, are my newest gaming addictions thanks to you and Capac (and the rest of the gang). LOL. You and Capac keep doing the things you do. Fun stuff. Nothing better on a Monday to come home from work eat supper and watch Icarus content.
She's from the 1st mission in Prometheus. You can save her and get the loot or you can just kill her (She stepped in front of my arrow). Either way you complete the mission but the way the NPC talks to you changes which was actually pretty interesting.
I've been playing a little while. I am enjoying it. It is a unique experience. I'm not super hardcore like Splitsie, but it is fun doing the things, exploring and seeing how wild things are. I am enjoying the building mechanics and am by no means a builder in any game. The creatures and other survival elements are there but not terrible. It is butt puckering when you encounter your first bear or other big damage animal for the first time. I think it's a fun game all round and am enjoying the crap out of it when I do get to play. I'll be kind of away for a couple three weeks but if you do decide to get it let me know. I'll try showing you the ropes if you want. I haven't had much of a chance to play online in years and am ready to get back into it.

Played that once, as a kid. Wasn't pretty...didn't end well. The bear bear-ly got away with its hide. 😂
drinking from the cement mixer is how you get a new statue of that person.

Lol true, I feel like it's somehow darker in our house than what I remember things being before I added lights to our Styx base
I never quite got the phrase herding cats...but now i know 1:04:30 .... so funny

One crop plot of each plant is about all you will need unless you have something specific for a food, or something.
3:19:04 nope you have to have those three items placed inside the mission area

You might want to move Daisy to the barn soon, it sounds like she has a lot of gas and there are torches around...
33:20 You can make seed oil out of Surplus seeds and convert it into biofuel.

Unlike a gay bar, Icarus is all fun and games until the bear shows up

1:48:45 It's incredible that they didn't see the wheat and berries...
Man don't throw away your tier two furnaces. Save and use that for the lesser ores. Makes smelting go faster.
One tapping someone after multiple shots only counts if you're sniping. In my opinion at least
I no longer know what day it is
After you named your horse Benny, I was kind of hoping for names like Tomcat, Eagle, Falcon and Hornet to join him.
it was a porcupine wolf.
New game early access The Front. Played about 30 hours in the past 3 days and it is pretty good
is it possible to tame and ride a gater in this game?
Maybe some stairs out of the river would be a good idea eh ?????
Question,
Why do you have a dinosaur in your base ?
Anyone know ?
Blame Capac.
@boris3320 when do we do otherwise?
We picked up Daisy from a mission, sadly she's kinda useless :P

It was part of a mission.
Man I'm really gonna have to consider getting Icarus. Does anyone have any experience with the single player? It is any fun?
Been playing it myself since this series started. It's been a blast so far. Feels alot like ARK if you ever played that

It's SO useless to lock up your animals when you only have water and food for them outside!
Nope, it's really quite handy since they were killed last week by the flying things
Splitsie, there are recipes that use the seeds.
if you have yeast, wheat, and water in Icarus, could you bake bread?
I think you also need to unlock the correct kitchen pieces to be able to make the bread
