I just recently upgraded from two rtx 3060 to a rtx 4080 super and it looks fantastic, I keep my pixel density at the maximum settings and I can read even the smallest text in the cockpit. The new dcs and supercarrier module looks astonishing
I've had my Cristal light for about 2 weeks now. Most of that time I was majorly disappointed. It just looked like crap. The cockpit was very clear but everything else was blurry like a old 720p monitor. Pimax customer support was useless. After doing everything, I could think of even doing a clean windows installation, nothing seemed to fix the problem. So I assumed something was wrong with the headset, so I started the process of returning them. Then yesterday, I noticed upscaleing was turned on just for DCS in my Nvidia settings. I have no idea how it got turned on. I didn't think it was the problem, but I had to turn it off and see what happenes. It's perfect now. It is Cristal clear. I guess the GPU was feeding a low quality image to the headset.
I love my crystal light....but only for....sit down sims/games.....anything where i have to stand i find it really restricted and annoying....so i ordered the quest 3 for stand up type games like fps's happy days😊
I’m hoping Santa will bring me a 4080 16GB card for Xmas to replace my old 3070 8GB card, and hoping that will take image clarity to a new sharper, well defined level for my Quest3.
Hi Roy, Good question! My FPS wasn't the greatest here - atleast not on the deck. I think it was around 45 - 50 as i cranked everything to the max! I normally don't do that. But with Fixed foveated rendering or quad views it might me much higher.
@@laubox 45-50 is my max with my 4070 xD So would you say that a with the spec you have you never dip under 40 with everything maxed? Im considering a 5090 next year with a new CPU for DCS, should be able to run max regardless then right?
Hi! Great footage! Just a quick question. How did you get the radio chatter in the background? It sounds very immersive and I would love to have something similar!

Thumbs up for the pilot in the cockpit, so rare !
Love the new deck crew interactions.
Dust storm in heavy rain? 🤔
They have dust storms in the ocean?

so where did you find that upscaling option for dcs in your nvidia settings? thx
@draakmanz under the Graphics tab, then select the game. Then, under driver settings, you will see image scaling.

That's incredible!
that looks nice

It definitely will, you will almost be able to push the Godlike preset in VD at 72 Hz with some tweaking.
Sorry to break it to u bro but santa ain't real
I have the 3070 as well but using a Pimax Crystal Light. Used to have the Q3, and so happy I made the switch
Wait for the 5090
Wheres the dust coming from? Youre in the ocean
Not to mention it's raining. That should be knocking all the dust out of the air.
@@the_omg3242 you can have Duststorm + Rain even with Flash and Thunder, happens sometimes in india. its not impossilbe.
Dust storms can travel for hundreds of miles out to sea. Canary Island eastern beaches mostly come from Africa.
Nice vid, shame you didnt show fps through it i was curious about that. Settings as per your earlier vids i asume?

Explain the oceanic dust storm...
Off the coast of North Africa the dust can travel hundreds of miles out to sea.
problem is that you need an actual jet engine to run this game in VR
yes or you like 15fps like probably shown in this video.
not really, unless you want absolute max graphics settings

Yeah I was thinking same thing, how do we get that radio chatter?
Yep, We NEED THAT CHATTER!!
I use voice attack with viacom. Viacom has chatter.
nice but 15fps or what? ;)
Does this game run better than MSFS 2024 in VR?
nope
Can you share the mission file?
Dust storm among the sea? 😂😂😂
Massive amounts of dust from the Sahara end up in South America and the Caribbean Sea every year.
Lol. Fog ...
