if you take this on be real careful drilling, i ended up with some crooked holes and ended up with a nightmare. Also the factory bolts were 10mm and the bolt it comes with is 12mm. The original holes just didn't work i ended up just dremeling an oval hole so the lock nut has clearence.
My chain adjuster bolt isn't stripped but the flat end of the axle the block holding it in place where the chain adjuster stops it from moving any closer to the bike has a big gouge in the block so every time I go to loosen the axle is keeps spinning and theirs nothing stopping it
This will work on many bikes! You can see if your bike is compatible by using the drop down arrows on the product page and selecting your motorcycle. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tusk-swing-arm-chain-adjuster-bolt-repair-kit-p
Wait..Won't the bolt fly out if the insert isn't welded into place??..There's literally nothing holding it there. My Bolt broke because my chain was too loose and i was trying to adjust it. Something inside my swing arm Seized and didn't let the bolt adjust the tension on the chain.
I know rocky mountain recommends this on certain bikes but could it be used on a smaller bike such as a 2011 kx100

What type of drill bit is used to drill through the bolt. And what size. The kit is not available on the site. Also what threaded inserts are these?.
Nice, good to have a go to when all else fails.
thanks Charles

So where do you get these inserts that's an awesome idea
Looks like this is what I'll be doing on my rm250
03 RM125, tried to loosen the chain adjuster bolt, then the whole bolt just snapped in half.
Can this be used on motorcycles as well?

The threaded inserts are a press fit and don't need to be welded in.
