I have just bought an ISH who is only 3 but rising 4. He was unbacked and never sat on. I have been doing all the backing myself and have got walk and trot sorted and just had canter under saddle a few days ago. I am 58 and feel nervous at times about taking him out of his own arena and introducing other horses. Your videos help me as it’s nice to see another rider with the same feelings of trepidation. Harley is lovely and reminds of my boy Seren who is also chilled but can have his moments as he is a baby horse. Watching videos of your journey is inspirational because you are an amateur rider who is just out to have fun with her horse and that resonates with the vast majority of riders in this country. I want to enjoy my horse, have fun and be safe…a good dressage score is a plus but not the most important thing. Training a young horse is rewarding and developing a long lasting partnership is the goal…you show this on your videos. Look forward to more of your journey with Harley and I hope to be doing similar things with my boy too. X 😊
I used to watch your vlogs religiously back in the day so this was such a treat, thankyou! So happy you and Harley found each other, this was lovely to watch. Sending love 🤍🪶
Your partnership is just coming along so very well! I love how you are exposing Harley and also keeping your own confidence! So I bought a 4 year old in 2022….he is STILL growing. 😳. So wouldn’t surprise me if Harley is growing too. Congrats on your sponsorship!! You are a great brand ambassador!! ❤❤❤
I think that Harley has grown and that the calming cookies probably do help him. When I give calming powder to my horse, it definitely helps. (He can't have the calming cookies because he's sugar sensitive.) IMHO, you are so much more confident than you used to be.
I think so too. I notice a clear difference when I use them (and I’ve tested a different calmer on him and on myself so I know it’s not a placebo effect!). And thank you, I think we both give each other confidence in different ways 🥰
He is just wonderful. He makes me emotional 😭🤣 he’s so kind and gentle, but also smart and brave. He makes me want to show up and be better every single day 😩❤️
Oh, Rhi I'm in Australia, we have "types" of hay eg. lucerne, oaten, teff, rye, etc. My fussy Gypsy Cob needs a low sugar hay ~ yours looks tasty (to Harley)So I wondered if we might have it here in Oz.❤
Well done! Harley is doing amazing. I would like to hear more about the human calm cookies?? I get very anxious and nervous in new places and would like to find a routine that would calm me down so that I can enjoy the experience.
Thank you for sharing the lesson, a very positive experience and really did miss the longer-form vids. Lovely to see Lynne (apologies if the spelling is wrong!) and Lyric again as well!
Thank you! It’s good to be out with her again. And I love the longer vlogs too, they just don’t seem to get as much interest these days as Shorts. Thanks for the lovely comment ❤️
Mhm as shorts, well, take up less time to view they're easier to click onto and watch so that makes sense. Personally (and of course this is just my own opinion), I'm more of a fan of videos as with shorts your time with each creator is a lot briefer and the focus can be more on grabbing attention just for a moment rather than creating a wider picture. They also can't go as in-depth into topics and to me miss the vibe of a video like a cosy vlog. (maybe I've skipped a few decades and am prematurely old lol)
What a cutie! I can definitely relate to all this. I have two questions….what breed is your horse and what is the brand of the calming cookies you use?
I think Harley has grown, or matured. He looks great, as you do, so happy!
Thank you. I’m really happy with how he’s looking 🥰

You are both doing so well together- well done. Looks like a great start to your year as a partnership.
Fantastic Rhi!! I love your vlogs.
Wondering what hay Harley has?
Thanks Jenny! When you say what hay, what do you mean? We use a local supplier from just down the road.

Thank you. He's a full Irish Draught and I use the Premier Performance Human Kalms.
