I love the mindf*ck series and I’m so happy you enjoyed it! One of my favorite things were the quotes at the beginning of each chapter and how they correlate to the characters and the story

I was also SO SO disappointed by Book Lovers 😭I’ve never connected to any of Emily Henry’s characters in the past but I genuinely thought this book was gonna be different but it just wasn’t. My biggest issue was that it wasn’t even really a romance; it was all over the place and read more like literary fiction

I agree I totally thought it was going to be a good small town romance but the whole summer checklist and the vacation to the tiny town wasn’t my favorite
If you want a break from adult romance, I highly recommend The Sun Is Also a Star! It was the first book I read this year and was easily 5 stars!

Also woah you should check out A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner (the anniversary addition). You get friends to lovers over a 12 yr time period and right person wrong time trope. I could see Lauren loving this book too.

just finished the mindfuck series and it was absolutely amazing. read the whole series in one day. lana and logan have my heart esp lana! i cant believe the author passed away before the series got popular :(
also read a million kisses in your lifetime and the aesthetic was so amazing! it gets better throughout and i loved their romance, the lipsticks!!!
As someone who is OBSESSED with love and other words, the anticipation for every summer after has reached its peak and i just cant wait to get my hands on that book (and YES, we fckin need Elliot's POV 😩)
I’m not a romance reader, but I just finished Book Lovers and I really enjoyed it! Maybe it’s not for you, or maybe it wasn’t the right time. I’d recommend giving it another go though if you’re up for it! I I thought it was funny, sweet and engaging!

I highly recommend “By a thread” by Lucy Score!! It’s a slow burn, enemies to lovers, office romance book and it’s SUPER angsty and probably one of the best by books I’ve ever read. Even better than “Things we never got over”!

You should definitely try the boys of tommen series, the first two book are out which is binding 13 and keeping 13. The main couple Johnny and shannon are my absolute favs, the humour the romance and the emotional aspect is so well done. (The goodreads ratings are high too)

i personally really loved alone with you in the ether!! it’s not explicitly stated in the book but i think regan is bipolar, her thoughts sounded like she was going through a manic episode a lot of the time + it did mention that she has depressive episodes

I LOVED it happened one summer and was so invested in the characters and yet I started hook line and sinker and hated it hahaha I didn’t even finish and couldn’t connect to the characters at all and it was so cheesy.

You should listen to the audiobook of Book Lovers instead. Julia Whelan is the narrator and she just made it so good! I loved it!
