Podipooram...Aaghoshangalude oru varnapakittu.
As the name suggests festival with fireworks was the feel we wanted to go with and at the same time take the audience through the 10 days of Onam with different music, steps and formations and end with the colorful and surprised filled fireworks like performance! Podipooram was our attempt to give you this unique blend which any Ulsavam or festival in Kerala gives.
Performed at Chicago Kalakshetra, the theme begins with a festival theme music followed by a medley of festive songs and in span of first 3 minutes the team of 12 gracefully glides through 15+ formations to represent each song and dance.
We did not want to leave the Malayalam cinema which is known for its classic and aesthetic portrayal of characters & scenes! Hence a mass entry of the Malayalam hero, conversation amongst the Hero, audience & dancers took the entire crowd by surprise. The finale was with the Team Ghunguru Boys who took to the stage, many for the first time and let us just say, they set it on fire….
